This number called my cell phone. They didn't leave a message.

I'm getting these phone calls all the time now, from at least 6 different numbers!!?? so annoying.

Received call 4/01/08 @ 7:25P.M. Didn't answer phone call. But tried calling back several times, and machine said number not in service. Just from reading everyone messages, I also do recall getting a call mentioning warranty on my vehicle. Which didn't make sense to me because there couldn't have been no way they had informatino to my personal cellphone. Something fishy is going on here!!

I just got off they phone with Cavalier and they deny still holding that number. They confirm that I have closed this account in 2004 and claim that they have not rented this number out to anyone since then. They also claim that after an account is closed, the number would have to go into a pool of numbers and any carrier can pick up that number as needed. However, they said the next owner or the next carrier is NOT allowed to continue to use MY name in the caller id. It's obvious that whoever has acquired this number is still somehow using my name. I'm speaking to the local police department. Their typical definition of ID Theft only includes credit cards and social security numbers and not telephones. However, they did take the report and will start an investigation.

IF YOU GET A CALL FROM 302-224-3569 AND THE CALLER ID SHOWS TAPOJIT KUMAR IN THE NAME, PLEASE RERPORT THE EXACT TIME OF THE CALL AND ANY MESSAGES LEFT. I am the person some of you have listed above. I have not made any of these calls. Someone actually looked me up from that number listed above and sent me an email; that's how I came to know about this.

I owned this number back in 2004 between Aug through Nov. In Dec 2004 I closed this account. Why this number still shows my name in Caller Id, I do not know. I believe someone is attempting to steal my identity. Reading from your reports, it's obvious that whoever is calling is attempting some sort of telemarketing scam. I am reporting the incident to FTC and our local police department. I will report back with details as soon as I know more.

Btw, at the time I owned this number, it was from a company called Cavalier Telecommunications. I am on the phone (waiting on line) to speak to their cust serv. rep. The system asked for my number and I typed entered 302-224-3569 and it says it found the account. So they still must own this line.

I have been getting calls from this number. Tries to remind me of some auto warranty!!?? Got a very similar call from 720-949-2044 with a "Brenda Puga" caller ID. I called them back, and got the same message saying number disconnected. I don't know anyone in Delaware or Colorado. How did they get my number?

I got home from work and fond a call from this guy on my caller id at 2:10 PM on 4/2/08.  I don't own a Nissan.
I don't know how this guy got my number.  I have my phone through my cable company and therefore, it is unlisted.  I have spent a rather gleeful year of no telemarketing calls.  I sure hope this doesn't mean the genie is out of the bottle.

Called and left an unsolicited voicemail on my cel phone. Isn't that illegal! How rude.

I got a phone call at 2:34 pm EST, didnt answer it and no message was left. When I tried to call back, it was an international number though, part of the phone number is being "chopped off" on my caller ID. My phone doesn't allow outgoing international calls. My ID reads this: +3022243569, the plus sign indicating that there are additional digits that have been cut off.

I think we got a caller here trying to spam everyone because he just called me about 10-15 min ago and that is about 2:36 p.m. on 4/2/08.  I traced his number and it said it was from Newark, DE, 19711.  I dont know who it is or i havent purchaed anything for anyone to recieve my number being i dont give it out.  I think they need to take and suspend this guys phone access or something.  Being I live in florida its impossible for someone to call me from there cause I dont know anyone from there.

I got it today at 2:36 pm on personal cell phone.  Did not answer as I know no one ind Delaware.  No message.

This guy called me at 1:50 pm EST 4-2-08. No msg. left; I wasn't home to answer, but wouldn't have when I saw the unknown caller.

i guess i am belong to a "selected" group of guys who get this junk calls everyday, luckily i wont pick any calls which i dont know...this is getting real annoying

Just like the others, i too received a call a few minutes ago (4/2/08). I didn't answer. I called back and got a recording that stated the number was no longer in service.  I just switched phone numbers and do not a Nissan, so not sure why my number was picked up.

I just got a call from this number as well, but they hung up as soon as I answered.  I just bought a car as well, judging from the other comments here, I assume that's how they got my number.

Got a call from this number (4/2 at 1:20pm) about a "final notice" that the warranty on my vehicle was about to expire. I don't even have a warranty on my car and there is no way Nissan would have my new cell phone number. I have never lived or purchased anything in DE. The recording went on to say to press 2 to be removed from the list or 1 to speak with a representative. I just hung up.

This person called me and they got my machine. They left a message and it was a recorded message. I'm guessing that when my machine picked up the call, their automated system thought my machine was a real person and began "speaking" to me. I didn't get all of the recording, but it said something about my car and if i wanted to speak to a customer rep press one. The only LEGIT reason i can think of anyone calling about my car would be that my Nissan recently got a recall on it. Besides that, I'd guess it's some kind of spam.

Received a call to my direct business line at 6:43 pm. No msg lft. His number was preceededd by a 9 which is unusual for a caller ID listing on my system.

This jerk has called me several times well AFTER 8pm and I have asked to be removed from the list several times but they keep calling.
