Nobody on the line, just silence

this damn number has called our business over 15 times in a span of 20 minutes and there is NEVER anyone on the line!

Picked up and silence for about 10 seconds so I hung up.

They are simply confirming that "your number" is a current and active number for them to sell to telemarketers and marketing firms as a "Hot Number".  The retards wont stop calling me so I pick up the phone when they call without saying anything and just sit there until they hang up, this helps run up their phone bill since they are calling long distance, and Yes I know they get a discounted rates, but I help eat into their air time. Eventually they will stop calling as I have done this numerous times.  It works especially great for political campaigns that call as well : )

I get repeated calls from this number.  Leaves no message.  I finally decided to answer the call today and it was a male voice that stated "Oh, I have the wrong number" and hung up.  Not sure what that means, I have no idea who this is.
