SCAM BOGUS DON'T TAKE CALL
KAN-Delaware 2013-10-20 20:18:08 Unknown
They claim to be Delaware Fraternal Order of Police soliciting donations. I already told them several times to remove me from their calling list. I told them I do not donate/give info over the phone - they can mail me and I will send them a check. Today's caller said they only make phone calls. They call many times during the day and often at odd hours that wake up my daughter.

Hi everyone. I get these calls all the time 302,2323096 calls the most. To stop these calls I bought a call blocker. It attaches to my phone and cal block up to 1500 numbers. They still call, but the phone rings one and disconnects the call. It was easy to program. It will only block the numbers you put in it. Give it a try.

The card service scammers WILL "service" unsuspecting persons credit cards until there is no remaining credit left on it. The callers are mainly drug addicts and ex-cons working on a commission, cheating people, in order to support their addictions.
Blips 2013-10-15 21:56:01 Unknown
They are not credit card services...they are SCAMMERS trying to get your credit card information for their own use. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION except instructions on how to "go to hell."
Blips 2013-10-15 21:54:14 Unknown
You can't stop these people by reporting them. The FCC does not have the manpower to track down all of the scammers who spoof the phone number they are calling you from. The FCC would have to go to each of the companies that offer spoofing services and get records from them for a specific date, time, spoofed number used, and actual number called from.......ain't gonna happen people!
If you want to fight back you need to write your senators and members of congress demanding that spoofing services become illegal to use because there is NO GOOD REASON for anyone to spoof the number they are calling from if they have a valid reason for calling you. That way, the only culprit the FCC will have to track will be the company offering spoofing services.....much easier than getting all the scammers out there and that will also help the FCC enforce the Do Not Call registry which they can't do now because of this damned spoofing crap.

Wow, I am the first to complain about this # since 2011! Has to be a spoofed # as it comes from a small local town near me and no big business's in that town! Of course I did not answer and no message.
ann 2011-06-15 02:44:02 Unknown
stop calling us!
Jim 2011-06-06 20:44:43 Unknown

How do I get these calls to stop. It sounds like an emergency.... I think there is a problem with my charge card.
I have been receiving calls every other day from this company on my business cell phone. When I selected option 1 to speak to a person I said "I would like to provide you with my phone number so you can add me to your do not call list". The representative said "Mam do you know why you are receiving this call?" I said "yes, and I am being called everyday and would like to be removed." The rep said "then why do you keep pushing one?" she then proceeded to hang up without collecting my information.

Got a call this morning from this number. Automated message about reducing interest rates on my credit card. I don't have a credit card, so must be bogus.

Regarding the assorted "I don't know how they got my cell #..." comments:
It's called an auto-dialer. Calls are placed 100 or more lines at a time using a computer. They don't need your number- they simply call every 0000-9999 combination in a given exchange till they get a few that hit.
Bonus points: "Pressing 1" does not usually connect you to an operator because they only have a few live people actually handling the calls vs. the thousands of calls made. Some people are just going to get dropped because there is no live person available. However, it does VERIFY that the phone number is valid... making it much more valuable when it is then re-sold to other scammers.
The number you see on your caller ID is spoofed; it is not their real number, so please stop harassing whatever poor business had their identity stolen.

Same story -- a**holes called my number. Knew it was a scam as I only have the one card and am not in any debt. I pressed one, asked what the name of the company was and got hung up on. The kid sounded young. Really annoyed with this but I will screw with them if they keep calling my line.
Maggie 2011-05-11 19:40:30 Unknown
They keep calling my company cell phone and then hang up.
Unless they want to buy something from me then they are wasting their time trolling my number!
