Called twice this morning on my cell. Missed the first call, answered the second. I could barely hear the caller, and he asked for someone whose name was nowhere near mine. I told him he had the wrong number, he verified the telephone number by reading it back to me, and told me they would remove it. He did not ask for any SSN or CC numbers, was very polite, and hasn't called back since.

If this is a legit collection agency, why are they doing so many ethically shady things like asking for entire SSN or account numbers and calling without leaving messages or contact info? Low bid offshore contractors may not think they have to operate within the bounds of US law, but the people who hired them sure do. If you get a call from these guys and it's not handled with professionalism and ethics, contact your account holder and/or state attorney general right away and complain.

THE CALLS START AT 8AM AND GO ON ALL DAY.  I HAVE GOTTEN 25 CALLS FROM THEM IN A COUPLE OF DAYS, BUT NOT ONE VOICEMAIL.  I DO HAVE A CHASE ACCOUNT, BUT AM NOT BEHIND IN PAYMENTS.  I WENT THROUGH THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO WITH ANOTHER NUMBER (1-111-111-111). SINCE I DON'T RECOGNIZE THE NUMBERS, I DON'T ANSWER, BUT AM PRETTY SURE IT IS SOME SORT OF SCAM.  THE OTHER NUMBER WAS A SCAM, SO I'M GUESSING THE TWO ARE RELATED.  I HAVE TO ALWAYS KEEP MY CELL PHONE ON ME AND DEAL WITH THE PUBLIC, SO IT HAS BEEN A BIT OF A PROBLEM WITH THE CONSTANT CALLS.

They just called me and I gave them my social (because i am NOT smart) and they said, "I am not pulling your account up." Then they ask for my account number and I knew it was a scam. I said "no, i don't have me account number" and they said, "well maybe i can pull up your account by name."

I immidiately hung up but gave up my Social Sec #. fml

I called chase bank one (1-800 #). s/w a man named daryl (Indian accent).
I made inquery about the 302 #. The # is actually LEGAL (-:  It's a collection dept so apparrantly WE ALL owe money. Hey happens to the best of us.

This number has called my house line and then right after hanging up and leaving no message my cell phone. The calls last all day everyday. Here is a list of times they have called my cell phone in the past week:

6/16- 8:04am, 9:33am, 2:01pm, 3:29pm, 5:14pm.
6/17- 8:03am, 10:45am, 1:06pm, 3:20pm, 4:59pm.
6/18- 8am, 11:21am, 3:22pm, 7:52pm, 8:29pm.
6/19- 10:14am, 4:32pm
6/20- 8:12am, 9:39am, 10:45am, 2:43pm, 4:08pm.
6/21- 9:13am, 3:24pm, 4:40pm, 4:57pm, 5:20pm, 5:42pm, 5:55pm, 6:13pm, 6:56pm, 7:19pm, 7:44pm, 8:16pm, 8:24pm, 8:40pm.

If this isn't harassment I don't know what is. This company must have bought my information along with millions of other peoples from somewhere.

This is Chase Card services, I spoke with women (very broken english), wanted payment on a close account.  Strange the account has no balance?

They call me everyday on my cell and the guy from India says he's from Chase bank, but his English is so poor I can't understand anything after that.  I told him I would report him to every agency possible and to stop harrassing me with his calls.

All foreigners I hate offshore call centers.

which bank has someone working for them that doesnt even leave the right call back number :-) first of all, 2nd they call at 9 am on a sunday morning, no financial matter from a bank is ever discussed on a sunday. they say opening times are 8 - 10 am est hmm never seen a bank with a 2hr opening time either.

best of all, they called for my wife, which name isnt even on my phone records... 3 facts that indicate to me that its a scam.

what's strange, a diferent search string says it's "Verizon" and we don't have verizon, if it's chase, those problems have been arranged and they have no need to call me

When i picked up the phone it sounded like some Indian or someone with a foreign accent.

The caller ID said it was from Wilmington, DE

Keep getting the calls, all day. I never answer because Caller ID is "Telemarketing" - if this was Chase, and they wanted people to pick up the phone when they call, why would they use "Telemarketing" as their Caller ID? I've talked with Chase reps and they are understanding of the situation. I'm not calling these freaks - they don't even leave a message, just hang up. I would recommend that no one call them back, and if you do, don't give out personal info! They should have all they need on their monitor when they call you. I calls but leaves no messages

These Morons keep calling me 4 - 5 times a day. I answered and spoke with the idiot on the phone. They claim they are with Chase and need a SS #. I asked him for his SS# and CC# before I would give them any info. Hmm... They hung up.

got a call from this number today...not knowing where the zip was from, i googled it and ended it up here...can you put your phone number on a do not call list to prevent more calls from these people?

This # is legit - it is Chase's collection's department (which most likely is outsourced). My office is actually across the hall from a collections agency, and I've heard them making their calls - they always use the name of their client rather than their own company name when calling for money. Anyhow, yesterday I got calls from Chase itself, with no voice mail left until the very last call telling me it was important I call that day. I promptly went online and paid my bill (which was overdue). I'm guessing that before the payment processed today, my account was turned over to the collections department, and that is why they are calling me - and usually they won't stop until they are told by Chase that the payment has been made. I always have the ringer turned off on my cell at work, so I'll miss most of their calls anyhow.

This number is indeed Chase collections.  They're hiding the fact that it is by using a different number.  They figure it's a way around people not wanting to answer a call from a creditor.

Problem is they cal incessantly and don't leave any messages.  When they finally do leave a message they give you a different 800 number to call which ALSO DOESN'T IDENTIFY who they are.  Then they want you to enter an account number.  Account number for who?  They never say who they are.

After pressing a bunch of zeros I was given yet another foreign call center staffed with people who don't care and won't even respond to what you have to say.  

Turns out the issue was already resolved but they kept calling anyway.  

STAY AWAY FROM CHASE BANK!

Called constantly, (6 times already just in the morning), not message left.  Same question, anyone knows how to block them?

I received a call from this number twice today and they didn't leave a voice mail.  I'm always curious when people call me from out-of-town area codes, so I googled the number and found several threads about it.  Wierd thing is, I have a Chase card and I just missed a payment, so I called the number on the card and the rep told me to pay it online because it would be free, so I paid online at the chase.com/creditcard website.  I'm nervous and will definitely call Chase to make sure everything is okay.

I get a call from this number anywhere from 1 to five times a day. They never leave a message. I called back once and got the Indian lady. She said it was Chase back and then I hung up. But the calls keep coming.

Getting calls 15-25 times a day for 2 weeks caller ID shows Out of Area or Unknown caller. Happens on both my numbers 1-5 minutes apart from 7:30am to 10:24pm. Answered yesterday and no one said anything. Today Sunday AM ID showed Wilmington, DE India female accent asked is this "My first and Last Name" as soon as I said yes she hung up!

They've been calling me every 30 minutes for the last five days!! I don't answer either because I didn't recognize the number. I'm going to call Verizon today to see how I can get this number blocked!

My question is why everyone listing about this number screens their calls.  I answered and this is (repeat is) a number for Chase card services, but for store based credit cards (you know the ones you get for in store credit at Home Depot and the likes). No I don't have a card with Chase, or anywhere else for that matter, so I know its wrong.  So I called customer service at Chase and a gentleman had used my phone number for his credit card.  They apologized and will remove my number.  And yes, when you call the main, published number for Chase it asks for your 16 digit card number.  I will update as the week goes on.

Received a call from 302-282-8004. Did not leave message. Would like to know how to "block" caller.

I have received 53 calls from this number in the past four days.

They keep calling.  One time when I answered, a lady asked for someone who was not me.  I told her no and not to call again - I continue to receive calls.
