I got a call from this number after I received a fraudulent student loan bill from I company posing as Sallie Mae. I mailed the fraudulent student loan bill to the real Sallie Mae. The person who left me a voicemail form this number said it was the Sallie Mae fraud department. So it's supposedly their fraud department but who knows. Could be the fraudulent "Sallie Mae" who sent me the fraudulent bill in the first place.

The phone number is for Sallie Mae. It is their credit department. They are calling to confirm credit information for someone at your home who took out a student loan for college, or someone who cosigned a student loan agreement for a college student.
