the joint?
Frustrated 2011-06-06 20:44:47 Unknown
Calling about once each day. Nobody on the line when I pick up. Area code is Delaware. Called back got a recorded message about a magazine subscription I am eligible to receive.

These folks have called me at work every day, 2-3 times per day, for several weeks. Even when I have answered, there is a period of silence on other end so is obviously auto-dialed. I have tried calling back to ask for my name to be removed from their list and they don't answer. These people are very annoying.
Spock 2011-06-06 20:44:47 Unknown
They keep callin, asking for someone who does not exist? Every stinking day!
roscoe 2011-06-06 20:44:47 Unknown
They call and don't answer when you pick up.
Sherlock Holmes 2011-06-06 20:44:47 Unknown
press *T and then extension 2202 or something in the 220X realm. You can ask for them to remove you.

Magazine telemarketer. Now blocked with my VoIP service. *Love* my VoIP service. Now has over 200 junk caller numbers in the block list, and it now lets me block entire exchanges. Junk callers get busy signal, which wastes their time.

did the case solved thing and found out it was a magazine subscription. when you dial the number and don't wait for the directory just enter *8 then extension 2202#. I real person will answer, probabley Priscilla and she will help you. I just did that and it worked. March 2, 2011 at 3: 15 pm.

Get on the do not call list website and file complaints. That is the only way to get them to stop. I tried to call the number back and it said that the mailbox is full. I filed 14 complaints today since my phone recorded every call, date and time.

Some free magazine. I have told them more than once we are NOT interested yet continue to get calls.
TK 2011-02-18 19:58:00 Unknown
took the advice dialed *T [*8], then dialed 2202 and got Priscilla, and bingo, got her to remove me!
Michael Harris 2011-02-18 19:09:19 Unknown
I get several calls every day from this number--and I am getting tired of it.

Listen you dumb azz baztards from Washinton Technology - I don't want your crappy magazine. I don't even like your president who resides there....

They say they are offering free magazines and want my contact information.
Andrew 2011-02-16 19:06:14 Unknown
Answered the call. No one on the line. They seem to call at the top of the hour. Very interesting.
Melissa 2011-02-16 18:57:42 Unknown
I never answer unknown calls and they didn't leave a message. Not a number I've seen before calling.
Marty 2011-02-15 14:42:26 Unknown
They called and I answered but no one spoke. I hung up.
Rada 2011-02-14 21:11:12 Unknown
They keep calling. I don't pick up; no message left.

Thank you so much! I followed your instructions, dialed *T [*8], then dialed 2202 and got Priscilla, who helped get my number off the calling list. I thanked her.
I wouldn't have figured this out without your help. Most grateful! :-)

Call them back an press *T for their answering service to attempt to transfer you to another extension. The extensions for them start at 220X, so I left a message to be removed on 2201 and was going to do the same on 2202, but a nice woman named Tiffany picked up and helped me get my number removed. I was so tempted to take it out on her but she's not the one who signed me up to I resisted the urge to have a full on freak-out.

In my case its the Washington Technology Magazine that wants me to keep receiving their free magazine. I told them I don't want to keep receiving it but they keep calling back
STK 2011-02-08 18:16:23 Unknown
lol.. mil-spec. Anyway, I just got this call as well.. automated. they disconnected.
TGF 2011-02-08 14:46:17 Unknown
I started getting these the same day as phishing e-mails tried to get through my secure (mil-spec) firewall.
anoyed 2011-02-07 19:38:45 Unknown
This number just called and hung up when I answered. 2:30 EST Feb 7th 2011
Muffin 2011-02-04 19:05:55 Unknown
I have a fax machine hooked up to my line and also use AT&Ts new system that allows me to see the number and the supposed name. When I get these I turn on the fax machine and let them here it. Tends to discourage repeat calls. Also try hitting the # key 6 or more times as that also trips up their computer.
D 2011-02-04 15:28:27 Unknown
Same here - I answer and they disconnect.
LMG 2011-02-04 15:00:02 Unknown
Same-they call every day around 10am. I answered once but no-one was there!
Baily 2011-02-03 21:24:27 Unknown
Perhaps it is just a computer verifing that your number is indeed a functioning phone. Then when some telemarketer wants to spend a few bucks, he sells your number, my number and anyone else who answered their call. I'll even venture to guess that soon we all will be getting even more strange area code originated "Mystery Calls" as I like to call them. Cheers
