I've had this call on 3/19/14 @ 8:33p. The caller i.d. says Insurance service. A recording trying to sell insurance. I've this call from several different numbers at different dates & times: 3/18/14 @ 8:29p (646) 558-6674 and @ 8:33p (417) 800-2304. I presume they will call again (as well the others from state side and overseas using state side numbers).

hese people call at least once  a week and I usually just ignore them after seeing the caller ID but they outdid themselves tonight, ringing up st 12.42am, when I was sound asleep. I picked up in the dsrk without checking the ID and was alarmed when no one was there. This is a big house and the phones are linked by intercom so my 90 year old father can summon me if he needs help. I immediately ran downstairs fearing something dreadful had happened to my father ,who fortunately was peacefully asleep, undisturbed by the phone, which I had grabbed  without turning on the light to see who it was.

I then rang the abovementioned number and was treated with a verbal assault, told to F-off and had the phone out down on me.

We are on  a no cold call list but a lot slip through the filter. It's bad enough when they ring during the day, but it's unconscionable for them to call in the middle if the night.

This number called today at 6 p.m. (Every day a new area code and number pop up.)  This one identified as Insurance Srvc--surely just another scam.  I get two or three new scam or telemarket number perday--have been keeping a list for over a year and it's beyond 3 pages now.  Have reported the entire list to government websites, but nothing seems to be done about it.  Hate to change our number which we've had for 54 years, and not sure it would stop these calls.  Have NO idea where they did our numbers or demographics--wondering if it is State agencies (like DMVs) providing or selling this info.  I hear the government is offering big bucks to some genius who can stop this stuff.  Hoping that happens . . .
