Guy called and asked to speak with my husband.  Told him he wasn't available, but that this was his wife.  Idiot then asked if I could talk to him about our AT&T bill.  Knew right then and there that it was a scam, because our AT&T account is in MY name!!!  I would be the one they would talk to first anyhow!  Never told him that though. Guess I "forgot". LOL!   I let him go through his "pitch"  about lowering our long distance bill, waiving fees etc. He asked me to hold on while he transferred the call to their account verification manager.  I told him to hold on and then asked him if he indeed worked for AT&T.  He said he's with "Axis", and that they were contractors for AT&T.  Said it would show up on our bill as Axis. I just laughed and told him that I knew AT&T didn't use contractors, and moreover, we don't even have long distance through AT&T.  Only local.  We use our cells for long distance, but didn't tell this fool that! LOL!  Too bad that there will be way too many folks falling for this scam.  I'm sure they will be calling back, but I'm always ready to have fun with these fools.  Next time, I'm gonna pretend to not understand what he's saying.... LOL LOL LOL

received call from 302 450 4746 on April 23, 2014. Wanted to discount my Verizon bill. Asked for dob. When I asked for id number or verification of his status w Verizon he hung up. All they wanted was dob as they already had Verizon information from someplace? This was attempt to steal id. When I called back they offered to put my name on do not call list. Did not do that because my tel number verification might give them even more information than they had before. This number has been doing this for several years according to some of the blog posts. Where is the AG when you really need them?

Try at least 1991, which is when I first registered.

Called my house, pretended to be Verizon saying they were changing my phone plan & lowering my bill by 30%. When I mentioned I was under a contract & how could they just change it cause it would void my contract. She put me on hold came back on, asked if I was in a bundle, I said YES. She then said she can't change it & hung up. I'm worried because I used the word YES. Been warned they can record you saying YES then embed it into a recording like you agreed to a contract. Ugh. I knew better than to answer the phone. B*****d telemarketers!

Be careful with this one...they want to steal your personal information.  Person claimed to represent Verizon and was going to reduce my bill by waiving the $14.00 monthly fees and also taking 25% off each long distance call made.  Just needed my DOB to validate account information.  No way was I giving any info...since that might be enough for him or someone else to steal my identity.  They already had my address and phone number.

I forgot to mention it shows up on my caller ID as Pay Processing.

I received a phone call from this number claiming to be my telephone service company claiming to lower my telephone rates. I was asked my birthday and address. I was then transferred to another associate. Then when I told the lady I did not agree to the terms I was transferred back to the same guy who called me. Then I hung up.

Seeing this caller id several times during day and today in the evening and on picking up the call was cut off.This caller need to be stopped

So...i was taking a nap when this number 302-450-4746 called, and said they were a Verizon Rep. I answered half asleep and pretty much went with everything the lady said and i agreed to "lower my my phone bill". I was then transfered and agreed to everything the other guy said.

After realizing i may have been scammed, i called Verizon and they said it was def. a scam.

If anyone else fell for this like me, please help! What should i do, what will happen.

I usually answer these calls and kindly ask them to remove my number from their system, but this time i happen to be caught off guard

Informative thread.  I got a call from this # today and it left me uneasy enough to Google it. The man stated he was from Verizon. I thought it was weird that he was calling from Verizon by my caller ID listed "unk name 302-450-4746". He began to tell me that he was going to discount my current plan. When I questioned him, "you say your from Verizon" he said yes and then disconnected.
Something smells bad here.

Caller called and asked if I knew that I could get long distance services cheaper than I am currently getting them:  They hung up when I asked who were they calling for and if they were with AT&T.

Caller claimed to be with Verizon and wanted to offer me lower long distance rates, dropping about $50 from bill. I asked three questions, got no answers and they hung up. Asked them to send me email and they hung up. Remember folks, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I just got a call with the same number 302-450-4746..and the woman claimed she wants to cut my AT&T phone bill by 45%..whe I asked her if she speaks for, or work for AT&T, she replied that " they're contarcting with AT&T ".
I answered by telling her that then " the bill will be higher if you're contracting ".
I told her afterthat that " I don't have time to listen to her" , and
hanged up.

I got a call from this number and it says vitelity and the person says over my answering machine hey Mrs L MrL and then hangs up. Is this a bill collector or what?

Must be a scam since they wanted to lower my long distance rates on my AT&T phone bill. He said he sees I'm currently paying 13.95/month for long distance on a land line. No I'm not.....I don't have long distance on my home phone.

Received a call from this number about 4pm the last 3 days. Upon answering, no one says anything and hangs up. You can hear background noise so I know someone is there. Just irritating, really... Caller ID reads Private Number.

Isn't it sad when you know the number looks familar you come here and see that I reported the same number in January (and that is only on page 1 of the two pages here).
Didn't answer so don't know what i is about but can guess from here.

I continue receiving calls from this number and I have asked them to stop calling. My phone is registered on the do not call register and I have told them of my phone status yet they continue calling.

If this number call you 3024504746 you can call it back and it will give you a number to call to be added to the do not call list 18883821222.

number appeared again as "private number"  I see I reported it in January as well

Received a call saying they saw my husband and I did not use our long distance calling from our ATT landline and that they could give ups a much better deal.  His name was Byron Smith and he used the name "Capitol Access Verification."  I tried to write down his code that he was giving a person named Nate.  I only managed to get the first 4 numbers...7070.  I almost fell for this, but my gut feeling said something was not quite right, so I hung up.

They call once a day. Either hang up or don't leave a message. I've tried calling the # back to no avail. I am on the "do not call" list, but it doesn't stop them!
