6/21/11 1259p pacific They call me with a different number weekly and sometimes daily. The number changes every time they call because they use spoofing. Contact the FTC @ 1-877-382-4357 and file a complaint. Also contact your state AG's office. THE FTC WANTS TO KNOW!
I get daily calls from different numbers that are phishing calls. Credit card scams, charity scams, etc,
I can track calls through my service, most of the calls are now these types. Help! ust be a computer-automated dialer, no message left.
When I pressed 1 to ask to remove my number from the list, the male on the line was talking over me and said, "I will call you back tomorrow, boi. Yeah, I said boi...BOI" Having watched too much TV this reminded me of prisoners telemarketing from prison like the HBO seies OZ. Hell who knows who has our numbers.
sick of calls
Stop Calling at 10:45pm!!!
You can report the number to the FCC on their website as well.. they have a form you can fill out for spoofed phone numbers.
Same as all the rest, got a call, didn't pick up, no message left. So tired of all these kinds of calls when we have DNC listings and these don't apply.
Brilliant isn't it? I just tried to call them back and the number doesn't exist. Wondering if we can report a number to Do Not Call even if we don't know who the company is.
Excuse me but, I am from Delaware and it is not the state that is giving these people phone service. Did you go thought the state to get your phone line?
It's the phone companies although, I highly doubt that these people are getting phone access through legitimate means. I have been receiving hangup's on my cell phone from 302-526-5354 and if I try to return the call I get a recorded message saying "You have reached a nonworking number announcement 14/8-8". If the number is nonworking, how is it that someone is calling out on it? My guess is that they are using software that allows them the clone the number for caller id's.
Interestingly enough, when I tried calling this number back today, with in 15 minutes of trying to return the call I revived another call and hangup when voice-mail picked up from 647-288-7559 which is apparently an out of country number. I have unlimited calling on US calls but, if I try to call this 647 number, Verizon tells me I only have 30 minutes for the call.
I am getting these calls daily, and can't get them to take me off the list!
Call came in 6/21/2011 at 9:28pm. Answering machine pick up call. Apparently the caller started a prerecorded announcement as soon as the answering machine picked up. The only recorded message on my machine is: "so press 1 now to take advantage of this today."
Someone keeps calling me from this number, sometimes 3 times a day, he/she doesn't even leave a message on my answering machine. I got tired of it and I dialed the number and after d second tone comes out a recording saying "you have reached a number that is no longer on service or have been disconnected already". I'm guessing this is a prank or scam from somebody, therefore don't know d number, have no family there no gonna answer d call.
A persistant caller.
CALLED ME TWICE I DIDNT ANSWER AND THEY DIDNT LEAVE A MESSAGE. IT SHOWED UP DENVER DE ON MY CALLER ID
I have received several calls from 302-523-1234 and they never leave a message. I try to call it back and get a disconnected message. I have already had several calls from someone that states the call is concerning my credit card. When I press 1 to tell them to quit calling the jerks hang up on me. Finally I pressed 3 to have my number removed from their calling list. Now I am getting the calls again.
enough is enough
Another trick - If they are repeat offenders here is a really quick way to get off their list.
Answer the phone as - "Detective Smith, fraud division, how may I help you"
WORKS WONDERS....I do not promote impersonating law enforcement - but this really works. They usually hang right up and never call again.
Have some fun with them.....Let them go on and on - ask their name then get a call back number 'in case you are disconnected' - Now push them to specify which credit card bank they are specifically calling about. Dont let them off easy with Cardmember services. Have them also identify the last 4 digits of the account they are calling about. They can't. IT IS A SCAM. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION.
The 'salesperson' I had on the call was running in circles for a good 30 minutes. It was fun to turn the ables on them.
Just got a SECOND call from this same place today. First call was from a different number 4007-505-9999 which is apparently a stolen cell phone number.
This s*** is pissing me off. it happens DAILY, multiple times a day. It appears that changing my number won't help!
Caller id said NA 3025261234 didn't answer and googled number thanks people for posting
good to know it's a scam...
We got this call at 3 PM today. Came from Dover, Delaware. Do not know anyone from there. First time we got this call. We are on the NO CALL LIST also. What can we do about this call?
Typical recorded message warning of a potential high interest on my credit card and that this was my second and final offer to reduce my interest. I Pressed #1 to talk to an agent. (I don't have credit cards with any balances). Ladies voice asked me if I wanted to reduce my interest. (I said 'of course') Then she asked me for my Visa Card Number. I asked her for her name. She said 'Pat Jones'. Then asked me if I wanted to have my interest reduced. I said yes! Then she asked me for my 'Member Number'. I asked her for her direct dial phone number. She said it sounded like I was not interested in getting my interest reduced and she hung up.
Call came to my cell, which used to be a landline number. Didn't answer. No message left. 12:04 pm 6/21/11
Lower my interest rate. Scam.
This number called my house, but I did not recognize the area code so I left it to the answering machine. No message was left. I searched the area code on Google and it came up with three towns in Delaware. I live in Colorado! My relatives only go as far east as Kansas and I got an unknown caller from Delaware?! Shady business...I STRONGLY advise searching numbers like I do. It's another easy way to screen your phone calls, especially for scammers like this.
Call saying it is from our credit card co.
Was greeted as a Credit Card Services
Finally pressed "1" to talk to human
Asked the guy to remove me off the calling list.
I just heard a hang-up click on the other end. A***oles. I have reported them to Do Not Call Registry again.
recorded message, only heard part of it, said this was my last time to take advantage
of the credit stimulas program, If I remember right I took a call from them
and they try to get you to hire them to get dept modification, their plan is NO GOOD
Lori in Wichita KS
No message, caller ID said N/A. I don't answer calls when they say blocked or sender N/A. If they are hiding who they are I don't need to speak to them.
CallerID info: 326-502-1234 NA
The recording says something like this is your last chance to lower your credit card debt. Ha! If only it were! It would make my day if they never called back. I pressed 1 this time to get removed from their list (on Don'tCall list anyway, both state and national) and got hung up on. It doesn't take much technology to keep track of who not to call; if this company won't do that then they are just being annoying on purpose. And if their telemarketers are threatening people, that's not right.
