This is a follow up to the previous post.  I called 302-526-5412 and spoke to a person who called herself Megan who said she was employed by Erickson Wade & located in Phoenix Arizona. She further stated that the "appointments" would be scheduled at 875 AAA Blvd, Newark Delaware and that the travel agency that sponsors & conducts the program is called STS Travel. STS Travel is not a listed tenant at 875 AAA Blvd.  She also said that no purchase or commitment was necessary to receive the airline tickets which were worth a max of $700.00 each. After I ended the call I checked on the status of both entities on Arizona & Delaware & learned that neither entity has filed the documents to do business in either state. I will not deal with a business that fails to comply with the most basic registration requirements.

Wow!  I would definitely say this is a scam. My letter is EXACTLY like the one Valarie, JKinNorthTexas, and the others posted.  The date, name, verbiage, everything is the same.  This is a con job.  I just threw it in the trash.  Thanks everyone for blogging.  This has saved me precious time and money.

My husband recieved a letter today in the mail from this Erickson Wade Co with a Samantha Cox being the Vice President of the Travel Awards. They too, said they had been trying to contact us and that this was their last attempt. Thanks for the info. Since me nor my husband will not be contacting them back, I guess my two "free" tickets will be going to the ALTERNATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the same letter that many others have gotten with the same claim that they "tried to contact me."  I have one day to reply.  I have no idea how I got on that sucker list, but I don't intend to take the bait.  After all, the letter advises, "Certain restrictions apply."   It doesn't say anything about the prize or the circumstances of my selection, and Erickson Wade has NO useful info on their website.  Great on promises, but devoid of information.  Coincidence?

But they do seem to change there name alot. Here are a few. Spencer Burns, Hammond Reed, Donovan Rick, Lambert Steel, Peterson Burke and guess what they are all the same. ERICKSON WADE is just another name from these scammers. Please do not call!!!

Hello all, my girlfriend recently received a letter from Erickson Wade. We live in Philly so it is feasible for us to visit the company in Delaware. We are thinking of going "dressed up"---I may wear a sombrero, etc. I thought it would be fun to audio-record the session and to ask questions that let-on I know it's a scam, etc. Basically, I want to waste their time for sport and comedy. Does anyone think this is a *bad* idea----could we be harmed legally or financially?

If nothing else, they're getting a crank call.

It's a scam!  We got a letter from "Samantha Cox" of Erickson Wade. Same letter, same logo, different company and different VP.

Beware, contact your local BBB and by all means DO NOT accpet their free tikcets offer...it will have serious strings attached.

My wife received a "Erickson Wade" letter that is identical to those mentioned above. The letter contains the Delaware telephone number 302-526-54123 which comes back to an unpublished land line located in Dover Delaware. Persons and/or corporations who do business under assumed or fictitious names are required to register with the Delaware Dept of State; the name "Erickson Wade" is not registered as of this date. I have sent the letter to the consumer protection section of the Attorney General's office

Warning you don't actually receive a free gift by attending any vacation club presentation. You get a Rewards card from a different scam company.
1. The free $100 bonus gift by definition is provided once you select one of the reward's vacations. You can't just say send me the $100 cash, gas or restaurant certificate.
2. You start with registration fees, all replies must be done by expensive certified mail, every thing is subject to change and availability until you run out of time or finally give up after sending in money for taxes, pre-registration etc..
Through the offer away and you'll save a lot of money.

Got the same letter but it was from Richardson Blake at 800-369-0282. Called the number, they set me up with an appointment at 'The Vacation Station' downtown for a presentation. I guess Richardson Blake gets a fee for everybody they set up with an appointment. Went to the presentation, it took about 90 minutes, it was for membership in a Wholesale vacation club. Declined the offer and got a brochure from Premier Choice rewards offering a Reward Choice and a Bonus Choice. Going to mail it off tomorrow and see where this thing goes. Note: the presentation is similar to a Time Share presentation in that they want you to join before you leave, if someone is vulnerable to a pressure presentaton or a good salesman - then they should not go. I haven't done any searching on the Wholesale vacation club they offered, so I don't know how good or bad it is.

Got a similar letter and visited their "office on Park Center here in Knoxville. Did feel any pressure, great presentation and it could save money, but it would take a while to recover your capital outline. After group we went one on one, told them it was not something we could use. He said thank you and signed off my form. Stopped by the receptionist got paper work to complete for our free airline ticket. Now we will see if we get our ticket.

Did you get your airline tickets? I went to the same one in Knoxville in July, sent in voucher, and still no tickets, nor even a response. When called, they give the run around about calling some other scam "company". I wonder if the Knox County Sheriff cares? Might be worth a try.

anyone knows anything about them.  It offered her 2 free airline
tickets.  If no one knows anything, ill probably give them a call.
If so, ill let others know.

We got the letter - I've not called ...

Newark DE is really pretty close.  What's the catch?  Has anyone gone to pick up the tickets to see what they want?

I recieved it in the mail today 9/26  and they are giving me until TUESDAY to respond.

I'm sure this is some kind of marketing... perhaps TIMESHARES or Property sales or something.  Someone put me on a list and I get a few calls a week asking if I still want to SELL my TIMESHARE.

If you received the same letter as I did, read the first line " you have qualified "  It doesn't mean you have won but you qualified!! You will probably have to purchase or maybe listen to some pitch to buy some condo in Florida or something to that nature. If you had actually won you would be getting a certified letter.
Take a look at the web site listed at the bottom of the letter and make your own judgements.
Good luck!!!  If anyone has gone to get the tickets let us know whats up.

Was scammed out of over $4000 dolars on a similar deal from another "travel" company. My advise is if it is too good of a deal then it is a scam. I would not even waste my time calling them (I too recieved a letter). BE WARNED!!!!
