unsolicited call

SUCCESS!!!  I answered on the first ring tonight and the girl got out as much as the company she was calling from.....Atlantic Water!  I interupted her to ask her why she was calling and the call was disconnected.

I googled the company and found out that they're local....based in New Castle Delaware.....I called their offices back and asked if they telemarketed---they admitted "YES" and confirmed the numbers (544-7131, 7133 and 7138 are the ones that call here daily).  I DEMANDED that they take our phone# out of their system.  We're on the National Do Not Call list, and I SWEAR, if they call here again.....I WILL file a complaint with the FCC

We get calls from this number or related numbers (different last digit) regularly.  Most recently, the individual failed to hang up when we didn't answer, and the most unprofessional conversation was carried on on our answering machine.  Her employer should be embarrassed.  Telemarketers are, of course, not rocket scientists.  Who ARE these people, and how are they avoiding the Do Not Call registry?

Female asked to speak to the owner of the house. Didn't leave a name or anything and when I asked if she would like to leave a message she said "No, thank you!" and abruptly hung up.
