Message left can't hear anyone talking

It's the DMV calling to warn you tags are about to expire or have expired.

At least one collection agency has tried every trick to get someone to answer here. (we won't)  

This is probably another way to see if any bait will work. They may be wondering if we even have a ringer on when they call. After a thousand attempts they must have figured that they're wasting manpower and bandwidth calling us for years with no answer. If the state gets no answer then they may drop you from their list.

If it was the state they'd certainly leave a message since so many people who work miss the calls, and to avoid having to call back.

same here, i received two calls from 302-739-1052, the 1st was on Saturday, November 16th @ 5:39p and the 2nd call was today, Sunday November 17th @ 5:38p. i tried calling back but all i got was a busy signal. if it is the DMV it's not a good service.

Got call three days in a row from this number 739-1052 area code 302 around 5:15 to 5:30.  Same experience.  No message left and in calling them back no answer or a busy signal.  This is terrible.  How do they get our numbers.

Both of our vehicles are due for registration; 1 in May and 1 in June.  I have been receiving weekly emails from them as well.  Nice service but why wouldn't they just call once and leave a message; makes no sense.  I would expect more from the DMV ;)

Update: They called again on Friday and Saturday evening at about 5:30pm (but not today, Sunday).  Both times I answered and there was no one, not even a message.  I put the phone on mute and waited to see how long the line stayed on before being disconnected.  Both days the line stayed live until I finally hung up after about 70 to 80 minutes.

I called the number several times today and it would just ring for about 2 and a half minutes... no answer.

If it is DE DMV, then there is something major wrong with their notification system.  When I have time I'm going to call DMV at another number and complain about the harrassment I'm getting from 739-1052, DE ST OF.

I agree that this is probably the answer.  The registration on one of my motorcycles expires in 45 days and DE does now have a call/e-mail, reminder system in operation that replaces the old snail-mail reminders they once used.  That said, they should be leaving a recorded message and be done with it instead of the repeat calling.  Next time this number calls here I'll try to answer and come back with an update.

I keep getting the call also at 5:15 every other day. No message, so today I stayed on the line for about 10 minutes ....hello....helllllllo.....he-LO! Finally hung up. Saturday afternoon fun!M

It is the DMV. AND IT IS AUTOMATED.. So, no message and no way to call it back. Just relax. It truly is a courtesy call, either about your license or registration of a vehicle is about to expire. You forgot to check/uncheck a box somewhere on your last renewal. Call them, they will not call again, and the next time you renew, read the fine print.

Got called by this number (302-739-1052) at 5:25. I didnt get to my phone in time to answer it. There was no message left in my voice mail and when I tried to call "them" back all I got was a busy signal. I have given my cell phone number out to family only and I'm on the do not call list. Upon trying to look up the phone number I came across a bunch of other people that have been called by the same number. WHO IS THIS and how are they getting a hold of peoples phone numbers? I havent had this number 2 months yet.

Just left me a 3 min dead-air voicemail...

We do have reminder calls about renewing your vehicle or license in Delaware.

Cant be the DMV.....No way someone would be calling from the DMV on a sunday! let alone after 5pm during the week! LMAO GOVT work weekends or after 5pm???

FYI...It is NOT DMV, we don't have "courtesy calls" in Delaware, and why would someone from Delaware be calling out of state people to have their car inspected...we don't get our cars "inspected" like they do in other states.

I guess you're the one making the calls! Is it too much to ask to leave a message? Went to Wilm DMV yesterday and got my fill of all the DA's!
