Was asked to call ASAP about my account. Thought it might be fraud protection on a purchase I'd made. It was a pitch for upping my credit line. Important message...really? C'mon. This is why I left Capital One. The non-stop BS calls pitching more services.

This is Jp morgan/chase bank. All calls coming from that building come up 302-758-1000 no matter if it is card sevice, fraud,or whatever...My husband works in that building as a software engineer and if he calls from his desk phone it comes up the same.

Caller from Chase. Did leave message with a name and phone number (and a phone extention) to call back. Only issue - they were looking for someone else, not me. Call type of Telemarketer used, but this sounds like a legit call

They called my Google Voice# which I sometimes give out. Since no message was left, I'm suspicious. Chase has my email if they want to contact me.

Got a call this morning and couldn't take the call at the time so I told them I wasn't able to help them. When I got around to it later that morning, called Chase to provide them with the information and they assured me it was NOT them calling. The lady I spoke with said any time they call an account they note it whether they reach you or not and there was no indication that I had been called about any of my accounts. Kinda makes me a bit nervous since the caller knew information about both of my chase accounts.

called, hung up on 2nd ring - i've recently applied for a chase card, so maybe it was legit, but why wouldn't they leave message or wait 3 rings?
jason 2012-08-21 17:19:36 Unknown
this was a valid call from chase regarding a credit card account. after supplying some info, they told me a new card for which i had applied would be in the mail.
matt 2012-08-17 20:49:40 Unknown
I also got called and missed it and no voicemail. I did apply for a chase business card 2 weeks prior. I was called on a friday and I contacted them on that next day to find out my status. I was told I was approved on the actual day that they called from this number. Wondering why they would call if they approved me anyways? I would be worried a call asking for that type of information too.

Please do not call my cell phone anymore. Not interested. Stop!

I have been receiving calls from this number at home and at work. It's a scam call to try and get information about you and your CC information. Caller ID list 302-758-1000 from Chase. This is not Chase Financial. They ask to call back to 1-888-298-5263. Don't call it back. They are phishing for personal information. This is a scam.

I got a call this morning and didn't pick it up.....thanks Dave, what you said makes sense to me now!

Call from Chase Bank regarding a Marriott Chase credit card application. Legitimate call. However, it would be nice if they would leave a message when I do not answer.
MG 2012-05-24 16:18:04 Unknown
Just got the call. Did not answer. They did not leave a message. Legitimate or not - by now companies should know better than to call unsolicited and then not leave a voice mail, etc. This is is not the way to do business in today's environment. Scammers spend too much time trying to fiigure out ways to outsmart folks like us.

I keep getting unwanted calls from few numbers, such as 302-758-1000, 888-657-3998, 928-268-3060, 877-202-5429. I might get from many more. I already have signed up for blocking sale and ad calls.

I received a call from a company stating they were Chase...302-758-1000 and that I was approved for two credit cards.
Is this fraud or a scam?

Call to my cell phone from this number. No message. I do not have a Chase account or card.
bill 2012-02-15 18:57:16 Unknown
Didn't leave a message, but when called back, claimed to be Chase bank. I called Chase bank and they searched, but have no record of this number. It appears to be a FLATULENT number. If you get a call from this number, DO NOT provide any of your information, just hang up, and call you bank directly and report this phishing scam.
It Ain't Chase 2012-02-15 13:09:08 Unknown
Fake call claiming to be from Chase bank - I verified with Chase that this is indeed a phishing fraud and has nothing to do with them.
Notice all the shill postings claiming that the call is real - a sure sign of a fraud. There are numerous reports on 800notes of numbers claiming to be "fraud alerts" from a number of different financial institutions, all with large numbers of shill postings very similar to the ones here - likely part of a widespread fraud campaign:
Numerous other fake number all claiming to be from various banks - all with the same shill postings:

Concerned that this is a scam. Phone rang but left no message. My mother has recently received a call from someone requesting chase account info and fraudulent charges were made on 3 of her accounts over the course of a week.

I received a call just now from this number (Dec 8th 6:25pm ET). They asked for me and since I didn't recognize the number I said I wasn't available and asked them if they wanted to leave a message. The woman said "oh no that's okay we'll send him a letter". Didn't say anything else or who they were with.
I did recently apply for 2 credit cards, one might have been Chase and the other was Discover. I believe Chase didn't instant approval me and was supposed to mail me a notice, but haven't received it yet. Maybe she was calling about that????

Just received a call from this number moments ago, I answered the call and the other party hung up (we had NO conversation). Right away I checked the number on Google and this site came up..
Thanks All

Sorry for the typo. It's in fact and not infect. My smart phone is too smart.
Rao 2011-08-15 15:58:55 Unknown
This call infect is from Chase and I verified it by calling the number on my credit card and the customer representative mentioned that someone called you earlier today and updated that the customer is not comfortable with the call.

I would be careful on this one ... Received a call from "Catherine at Chase Lending Operations regarding an important matter" and to call back an 877# and reference account ending in "XXXX". I have several Chase accounts but none ending in the number referenced. I called back and was immediately asked for my account number. I simply said I was returning a call from Catherine. They then said that it would be regarding my Chase account. I said I had several. They asked again for account numbers. When I said I was not comfortable providing those, they asked for my Social Security Number ! I asked what it was regarding. They said "updating information". I told then that nothing has changed recently and if I needed to update anything I would get with my local Chase banker. End of call.

I just got a call from this number. Before I gave them any information, I asked that they verify themselves. They were able to tell me my last payment amount, my current balance, and the last several charges I made on my Chase account. I was still cautions and only verified that my business still existed, how many employes we have and which of the mortgages on my credit report--which they gave me, is my primary residence. Hope I was not scammed!
