The card service scammers   WILL   "service" our credit cards,   BUT,   when they finish "servicing" them, they will have no available credit remaining!

The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers so they can rip us off. People that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

I just got another from this number.  This is crazy. This has gone on for months.  Complete fraud and no regards to anyone on a Do Not Call list.  Call came in at 11:12am from 302-764-3121, recorded message this is my final notice to low my credit card debt.  I pressed 1 for agent and she hung up on me when I asked for her name.  At 11:17am today, 5 min later, got a call from 210-306-1267 same recorded message on reducing credit card debit, I pressed I, I the lady for her name, she told me her name is Julie Maddox.  I started to tell Julie she just called 5 min ago, yesterday, the day before and so on, she hung up on me.  The government is not doing anything to protect those on the Do Not Call list as I have so many complaints.

YET another 'Rachel from card(member or holder) services' call,

If anyone gets through to these people, before they hang up on you, just tell them that you will be reporting them as per FTC File No. 122-3197  -  http://www.ftc.gov/news-events/press-releases ... nforcement-case

Then actually report them. I just did.. :)

These scammers won't stop until enough of them have been sued and have to pay hefty fines to put the others off..

This company calls my home multiple times every day.  There's a recorded message saying this is my final notice about lowering my interest rate.  I am asked to press 1 for more information.  I have twice now pressed 1 to connect to a human being; as soon as I start to ask them to stop calling, in mid-sentence they hang up on me.  Today I asked who they were, and the woman said her company, "Credit Services,"  handles  accounts for MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express; she claimed my credit card company referred me to her company for a  lower interest rate based on my excellent payment history.  I asked which credit card company referred me and she only repeated the list.  Then when I asked not be called again, she hung up on me.

I AM DOWN TO ONLY A FEW CALLS A WEEK. How does that sound!!!

"YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it).  And do not answer name unavailable ever as calls are now starting to say that often.  Another comment from this web site says: When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one.  Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.  Another comment was:  They sold your known active number to another scammer!!!  That is what they do when you call them back to opt out.  SO DON?T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED!

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers more to copy and paste to)

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It?s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller,  but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.  Another smart person on this web site said to save it to your contacts as spam 1, then spam 2, etc. so you can just ignore the call.

ITS OUR LIFE AND WE NEED TO TAKE IT BACK.
One person said to call forward selective to the FCC whose number is 1-717-338-2533

The Center for Investigative Reporting joined two news organizations in an investigation of groups that use telemarketers to raise money and what they found is that most of the money is paid to telemarketers, leaving the charities with little, if anything. (3%)

Not only that but reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually know the person calling.

                                                                                        DEBT COLLECTORS
This was posted on this web site:

The Fair Debt Collection Act (FDCPA) was put into place To give people legal rights when it comes to collection agencies and collection attorneys.  If this collection agency is calling you for a debt you owe or a debt that is not yours, they could be violating your rights.

IF YOU ARE BEING CONTACTED BY ANY COLLECTION AGENCY,  get in contact with         http://www.fdcpacompliance.com/           asap so they can determine what rights these bottom feeders have violated and take action.   More and more American?s find themselves being hounded by debt collectors as a result of our country?s recent economic downturn.  The good news is that harassment is an illegal act according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).  The great news is that each infraction is PUNISHABLE UP TO $1,000.00 TO THE CONSUMER for statutory damages, and possibly more for actual damages!  The offending agency also has to pay your attorney?s fees.  The only thing that the consumer generally has to do is help to gather and provide information.

Credit card scam.  If you have a land line, you can use your caller ID, SAVE the number, then you get a prompt to block the call.  Pick YES and they are forever done.  Sad, but you have to do this for every unwanted caller, but it works.  Spread the word.

(302) 764?3121 Robo call recorded 20 March 2014 ("This is Rachel...reduce your rate...consider this your final notice..." Credit Card SCAM)
Caller ID: "Wilmington DE"

Also called recently from:  (302) 764?3176 | (757) 264-1254 | (310) 318-1250 | (310) 821-8963 | (385) 208-8809 | (706) 805-1776 | (360) 322-6708 | (616) 980-2164 | (616) 980-2063 | (616) 980-2030 | (616) 613-2228 | (215) 383-3414 | (415) 333-9999 | (281) 966-5793 | (616) 613-2199 | (305) 389-5335

"Rachel" didn't wait very long since "Heather's" last call from a different number, even after assuring me, "...consider this your final notice..."

Yeah, I wish.

I also chuckle because I noticed they corrected their poor grammar used on previous calls "...There's no problems currently with your accounts..." (their script writer finally fixed the use of a singular verb with the plural subject).

Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethics, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of their latest offering:

[female voice] "Hello, this is Rachel at Cardholder Services calling in reference to your current credit card account. There are no problems currently with your account, it is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate to as little as 6.9%. Your eligibility expires shortly so please consider this your final notice. Please press the number 1 on your phone now to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rate. Or press the number 3 to discontinue further notices. Thank you. Have a great day."
