What a bunch of morons. Called my cell phone at 4:35am. Too stupid to understand time zones. I am current on every bill I owe on, haven't been late on payments in years. Wish I had some of their home phone numbers to dial early,,, in error.

Keep in mind there is the Fair Debt Collection Act. There are things they can and cannot do in an effort to attempt to collect a debt. Look it up. Also, keep extensive notes of their efforts.

Just received a call from these jokers looking for my ex husband. I told them that they would not find him at this number and that I could not pass on any messages. He asked if I was Mrs. _____ . I said no. He said he really needed to get in touch with 'them' now and if they miss out it will be a sad fact.
Just crazy that these people lie to try to get information. If it has to do with my EX, then I am sure it has something to do with unpaid bills. BTW...the number he called was my cell phone... A number that I did not have when I was married.

When they call I ask them how much their paycheck was last week. Shuts them down every time.
| Lynne 2011-08-12 13:57:43 Debt Collector |
They called me too...they refuse to leave a message. I called back after hours intentionally & left a voice message telling them who I was and to send me a letter informing me of what this is about since they never leave a message. I told them to stop calling me until I get a letter as I will not speak with them until I get some kind of letter. They have not sent me anything & they keep calling me. I have since reported them to my state's Attorney General.

1st call she hung up on me when I said hello. 2nd call, She asked if there was a FENISHA there. I answered that I don't know of any FENISHA. Then she said: "okay, thank you Mr. (Blank)" and said my last name (prob by mistake) b4 quickly hanging up. very strange.

I noticed this number in my caller ID. I called and a representative told me the name of this company is Simm Associates. I gave her my name and all of my telephone numbers and she said they have no record of me in my system. I am blocking this number so they stop calling. They have never left a message.

It is Simm Associates and they are also calling me under a 1-866-572-8785 number. They call me each morning around the same time 8:30 am EST. Sometimes they leave a message, other times they do not. Today they pulled a stunt by calling a neighbor and I found a note taped to my door when I came home from work. It was handwritten and it said "call Mike Schmidt from Simm Associates. He said he has been trying to call you regarding the information you requested." I have no idea which neighrbor sent me this note. I am not in contact with my neighbors much. I am sending this note to my attorney. This company just started calling me on Wednesday and already they are getting neighbors involved (it has not even been a week!). I have received nothing in writing from this company.

Another debt collector that the mysterious "Phillip" gave my number to. Stated I am not phillip, there is no phillip here, and don't know any phillip. I owe no one any money, even my home is paid for.
Tip- If you cannot change your number (I can't....use it for business), get "mr number" app for your phone. You can block them all.

They've called before, but I actually answered this time, because I had just paid off a debt earlier today, and I thought it might be that company calling me back for some reason.
I answered and they asked for "relatives of" my grandfather. My grandfather passed away in October, so thinking it might be something real about his estate, I asked them to hold to give the phone to my father. Well he had just left, so I told her, and asked if I could take a message. She says, "So, it is Mr. XXXXX's son who lives there? Okay, that's fine." (At the point of saying that, I recognized this as a BS call, because the calls we get in actual regard to my grandfather's estate, they know that it is my dad that is the executor of the estate, so they know it is the son they're calling.)
She gave me a phone number, a name, and a file number and said it was in regards to my grandfather's estate. I didn't actually write anything down, knowing my dad wouldn't return the call, and it is a BS call. It pisses me off that they're using my recently departed grandfather as a ruse to get in. I told her not to call the house again, and if she wanted to get ahold of anyone to send it in writing. That nobody in this family deals with things over the phone for protection of privacy.
(For the record, my grandfather was retired Air Force, recieving full retirement funds there, retired captain of an oil rigger after that, full retirement from that too. He owned everything outright, and he didn't have any debts for anyone to need to be calling to collect.)
If these people call back I'm complaining to the AG about it.

I owe toyota 7k from a repo 3 years ago, I am about to call them to settle for 2k but these guys are easy to get rid of, i love messing with them and love making the girls that call from this place cry, i yell, scream, use racial slurs cuz they called me right? hahaha Toyota made the dumb decision to give a 30k loan to a 20 year old college student working 15 hrs a week making 9 bucks an hour 5 years ago so they are morons here. Just hit ignore, they eventuallyy give up, cant put it on your credit if you call the credit bureaus and put a fraud alert on your credit (i do this every six months gotta play the game if your in it) everytikme they called they said you have to pay by 430 today or we wil take legal action (this is a fear tactic) Ive gotten the same message a hundred times and nothing has happened, it costs them more to hire a lawyer than what you owe.

Constantly calling and harassing me even though they KNOWINGLY have the wrong number. They want me to find the person they are looking for. I don't understand why they keep calling, but It's apparently fun for them. The "Chavez" is a fake name they use to harass people. This has been on going for 7 months and I have even filed police reports.

They called last night asking for my son, who does not live with us, and said it was in regards to a claim he has. There is no such claim. From reading some of the other complaints, lying is just another strategy of debt collectors!

They called my employer and asked if I worked there. Rather than aswer yes or no my service rep simply asked why they were calling. They then asked to be transferred for me directly but my service gal asked what it was in reference to and they said they just need to speak to me about an urgent matter. My service rep then asked for their company name to see if they were a customer and she could help them but they responded by saying that they were responding to an alarm due to the emergency and they needed to speak with me right away. She put them into my voice mail and called me. I had no alarm situation so I researched the number and found this website. Never heard of Simms & Assoc. and have no idea what debt they are trying to collect on but firstly they should try contacting me directly not my employer and secondly I don't think it's legal to masquerade as an alarm security company to trick people into releasing information.
