Got the call on Sunday afternoon 1/26/13.

Its a scam. I reported it to the police.  They tried to confirm information such as address and name. They got the wrong person because I had never given to the University.

I believe that these are UD solicitations. However, I've been receiving calls from them recently with no one responding when I pick up.

I get two phone calls every other day from this number 302-831-4483. I never answer, if you don't leave a message I don't call back.  Called back said not in service.  U of D asking 4 money I found out.

we had a family member (now deceased) who had been a donor to U of D for years so we're thinking that's the link to our calls.  like all above comments, no message, etc. we never answer #'s we don't know as we get many scam calls lately.  This call came on 5/9/13 @8:41pm

They are calling for annual donations from numbers that you cannot call back on.

Just got a call from the 4858 number; they left no message.  I typed the phone number into Google, and apparently it's a computer science professor's fax number?  So weird.

I have gotten calls from borh 302-831-4482 and 4858.  I have missed the calls both times, and they have left no message, but when I called back immediately, it said they number was not in service.  Now that I try back a day later, it rings once and then goes silent, but does not disconnect the call.

This is a university of delaware number. They own all of 302-831-xxxx. However, it's not a dorm number because those are 302-837-xxxx. It's likely the office of annual giving.

Same thing with me - I was called by 302-831-4489, I didn't answer, when my machine answered, they hung up.  Having read this, I won't be answering

Same thing happened to me. I got a missed call, no message. When I called it back it said the # was disconnected. I searched it on whitepages.com and switchboard.com. It said it was a landline on Elkton ave in newark, de. Its been a while since I've been around there, but last I checked that was mostly restaurants and shops. Although, isnt there a UD parking garage or something over there?

Received calls from both 302-831-4858, and 302-831-4489 with no message, and when I called also got number is disconnected; also received from 302-831-0070 and when I called back heard only a series of tones (as if someone were dialing on the other end??)  Have received 5 calls in all in the last 2 weeks, always in the evening.  When I have answered, they hang up, when I don't answer no message left?

Two calls back to back.  I called back with a hidden I'd and got a message that say the # had been disconnected.  Literally.  I calle maybe a minute later after they called.  They left no message.

I got a call today from this # today.  Could it be from the Office of Annual Giving?  Alumni office?

That's a University of Delaware number.  Probably a student calling the wrong #.
