I receieved this message today for a craiglist post I did for my parents:

"Hello my name is Alex, i am interested in your unit on craigslist, please get at me with your final price or send me sms to (302) 858-0917 Regards,Alex."

This is a Deleware area code....not close to the state that the items were posted for pick up only. Thought is was fishy. Glad I googled the number.

I also got and email from this number interested in the "unit" I have for sale.  Wanted to know the best price for the item.  The item I was selling was not even mentioned in the email from him.  I was selling an item worth $600 and not an auto.  

I've seen many emails responding to my items for sale and when they use the word "unit" it gives it away they are more interested in scaming you.  I always till the potential buyer I need cash and that usually stops the emails.

I believe this number is involved in some type of pay pal scam where they are contacting people selling cars on Craigslist and asking address to have their agent pick up your car after they send funds via pay pal and somehow they make you believe the money is in your account and by time you realize its a fraud they have tried to pick up your car.

Also this person refuses to talk on phone and only wants to communicate via text or Craigslist which leads me to believe they can't speak English or don't want to give away foreign accent

They also represent that they are in the Navy reserve
