This is a number from China..apparently a large scam going on where you will get a missed call and when youvcall back you will be charged huge rates!! Try not calling back.

I've gotten a call today, from the number 818-666-1697. It sounds like the same guy who called me from the contact number 323-570-4065. They also previously called me from 814 326 9205. The guy who calls has the same voice and says the same thing to me each time, that if I don't pay a loan back that they're taking me to jail.

So the following phone numbers are associated with one another in this whole payday loan scam:

i got a call from this number like 50x and it is making me mad

@emily claire - actually google voice isn't all that.  I have google voice on my cell and the call got through - you are missing the fact that they can still call the actual number for the phone, as they did, and it bypasses google voice. If your phone company won't block it you are SOOL

I received this on my voicemail.  IT was a recording in spanish.  Reported to Do Not Call Registry - which it violated in a number of ways.

I hope everyone is reporting it.

They called me 2. I have verizon, no message no nothing. They said unallocateds when I called back. They called me in february, and I have a verizon ,whose in Illinois

I'm in Texas.  Caller left no message, from Delaware. I blocked the caller so caller can't reach me again.  If you have Google Voice (a free service, just look it up) you can block any caller with one click.  I love that.  I have both my cell and land line phones plugged into Google Voice, so I can block anyone I please.

Same as most everybody here.  Got call on Cell Phone and when I answered, no one was there.  I am do not call registered.

I'm also in Las Vegas and have been called by this number on my cell. I don't answer and they never leave a message. Not my loss!!!!

Received a couple calls in the last week from 302-861-8989.  Woman who speaks spanish.  I know this is a SCAM caller!  I'm a T-Mobile customer.

If you get the chance to answer just hang up right after.

They have not tried to contact me again once I answered and hung up.

It is a telemarketing call to learn spanish?
I kind of thought it was funny when I finally heard the pre-recorded message but at 7am in the morning and multiple calls a day IT WAS NOT FUNNY

I like the idea behind this post!  Problem is you would probably be the only one the FCC would investigate.  Unless everyone who has filed a post (37 pages as of today 2/6/12) would do it.  And it seems the number changes so frequently, so the violaters stay ahead of the game.  Not sure what they get in return though.  Just a lot of pissed off people!

KEES CALLING IN SPANISH--EVEN THOUGH PHONE NUMBER IS ON DO-NOT-CALL LIST.  WHAT CAN BE DONE TO STOP THESE CALLS?

It is Sunday for crying out load this is the second time this number has called me. I do not answer calls that I am not familar with. Of course the caller does not leave a message. I live in Las Vegas I ported my number ftom AT&T to Cricket.

Wouldn't surprise me the carriers aren't simply add to their profit margins by placing these calls to use up our minutes and are obviously doing so using a computer to mask their identity and location).  Yep, time for the FBI to do more than investigating 'us'.
