This number calls me from the time the sun comes up until the sun goes down don't know how they got my number but am sick and tired of all the calls.

This phone number calls my cell and my work phone, i am not allowed to recieve these kinds of phone numbers on my work phone....i dont know who it is due to not being able to answer the call.

If it's a legit collection agency they will be polite and courteous, if they expect to receive any payment of any real debt owed.  If they are rude and crass from the get-go, they're something wrong and could be a scam or phishing.  Otherwise, it could be harassment if they break any of the rules, could report to the FCC or get a lawyer, etc.....
I was getting a lot of hang up calls and wrong numbers for the cell phone number that was "recycled."  This is a big problem, nowadays.
I found something that really works.  Forward all your calls to voice mail and use the generic voice message that doesn't state your name.  They usually do not leave a message if they're not legit.  If they are legit, they're usually extremely polite and friendly and professional.

why do they call and then hang up....prank calls from bored kids out for summer vacation???

getting calls from the same number....dont have a Limited card, or any lates pays...im getting sick of this tried to call number, wont go thru, and wont reverse....wish i could find out who they really are....does reverse to Denver Co...

Posting on thse sites only shows the rest of us the calls are bogus, which is good. But it doesn't resolve anything.

These are not legitimate calls. A debt collector will use the mail. There are laws about debt collection. Yes, some harrass, but asking for your banking info by phone is not a legitimate request.

Call the phone company to ask for a block on the number. Tell them that you are being asked to give bank account numbers over the phone and are being cursed at when you refuse.

If you use a cell phone, save the phone number on your cell phone with the name "don't answer", then ignore those calls. They will indeed stop.

Same deal as everyone else. I never answer unknown calls though. 303-255-5075. This # and one from 614 area code. These calls usually come in on Saturdays like today. If they're pfishing, you'd have to answer for them to get any info. Don't answer unknown #'s. Could be a us number with an offshore location. Tricky sons of guns they are.

World Financial Collection - They never leave a message, and if they do it's an "official sounding" lady's voice with an English accent: " Hello........ This is NOT a sales solicitation...... Please hold for a very important message........." Then there is silence and it disconnects.  It's always the same computer recording.
They have been calling me from 7 different numbers and I do not owe them any money.  In fact they have sent me a letter stating that I have a $5.00 credit and the letter shows in their computer.  When I talked to 2 different callers from two different numbers at two different occasions they both said they could see this letter in their computer but "headquarters" (whoever this is?) had overruled this letter.
Go figure.  I just ignore these computer calls now. Answering is a waste of time (I have probably spent 4 hours over the last year trying to resolve it and even sent a letter from my attorney).  We are now pursuing legal action to stop these annoyance calls since they are turning into harassment.

not going to lie, i have been recieving an increased amount of completey RANDOM phone calls in the last several months, and when I saw this one come up yesterday, knowing it was a scam number, i answered, belched loudly and hung up.

I started to recive calls from this number and similar numbers.  I haven't answered them yet but they do not leave a message.  This started a few weeks ago when I started to apply for several jobs on Monster and Careerbuilder. I'm certain that they are pulling numbers from those sites somehow.


Joan - there HAS to be someway they can track that number and where the money went.  I would contact the police ASAP.

Called on the day after Thanksgiving.  Did not leave a message.  I have relatives in Colorado and I thought it might be one of them.  I am on the on the do not call list.
I do not care to be bothered with solitations.

This number called me and as usual I picked up the phone.  Was a man indicating my child was injured at school and was sent to the local hospital.  Gave me this fright story about how he is being airlifted to large surgical center in city and was calling for insurance information to authorize emergency surgery.  After going over insurance information, I was told that the insurance was not fully covering the emergency operation and that my son would have to left without surgery until funds could be obtained.  I argued, got nowhere.  Finally, was told that I could would be allowed to make a payment to company and that my insurance would reimburse me--thus allowing my son to immediately enter surgery upon arrival via airlift.  Long story short, my child was never injured and was happily sitting in his class at school.  Person on phone was very good at keeping me online through-out the whole process with promises of directly connecting me to my son if I just held on throughout the payment scam.  In end I gave 123,342.86 dollars to these scumbags for supposed air transport, EMS services, Emergency room fees, surgical costs, post-op hospital care etc.  I was scammed and am no fighting to find these people.  If they call you--beware!

I think they get your number from something you signed up or registered for. I must've given my number somehow. How do you stop them from calling you?

Number called me twice, answered once and asked for me by name, said it was an important business matter. I just hung up.

JOAN, sounds like WIRE FRAUD.  I hope you contacted the police, state attorney general's office, FTC, or some kind of law enforcement.  Maybe this is a job for 4chan.org Anonymous forces.
