I've been getting calls from this number for the last couple of days, and every time I pick up, there's nobody on the line. If I try to call it, I get a "We're sorry, this number has been disconnected" message. This morning, though, I got something interesting: it was the same number, but in front of the area code, it had the number 011 appended. Google tells me that this is a common exit code -- a number one has to dial to get a line outside of the country they're located in -- and interestingly, that most of the countries that use it are islands in the Caribbean (the only one I saw that wasn't was, oddly enough, the US.) That might explain the accents people are talking about; this seems like an offshore scam of some sort, and I think they made a mistake by not covering up the exit code when they called me this morning.

They called my cell today; didn't leave a voicemail. No idea how they got my phone number, but I won't be answering. If it persists, I'll have them blocked. I'm always so annoyed with these losers.

They called my phone and work number and I don't know who this it!

I rec'd a call today stating i was approved for my $1,400.00 loan, as soon as i said i did not apply for one the lady hung up on me. i tried calling back and the line was disconnected. i put a security feature on my credit history so no one can run it without of my authorization.

At& T will not help!

someone has requested a Payday loan using your checking account info, they will try to verify it by tracking your phone# to your account info put your bank on alert not to make any ach deductions without contacting you

Calls everyday this year (2012), no message.

Number keeps calling! last four day's can't understand how they had gotten my number. I just wish they would leave me alone.

Keep receiving calls from this number. I don't answer and they never leave a vm.  I decided to call the number back today and it says the number has been disconnected when they just called my phone 3 mins before I returned their call!  Annoying is a nice way to put it.

Yes...just called me @12:30 pm on 12/12.2011.    Trying to make a 1500.00 payday loan to me,   Same guy has called B4 and I asked him to remove this number from his list but of course he didnt.  Always a  foreigner trying to speak english

I am pretty sure this is one of the same numbers with the other scam numbers.  This one called and asked for someone I did not know but I think that they were just checking for valid numbers to add to their scam list.

The other numbers are 213-725-5216, 201-552-1501, and 662-278-0610.

If you get calls from any of these numbers do not give out any information.  Usually they say they are a payday advance company.

Received simultaneous calls to my office phone and cell phone at the same time.  I declined the cell call to answer my office phone, since I did not know who was calling, and they hung up as soon as I answered. It may say its a Colorado number but from what I could hear in the background, it's just another scumbag call center routed from India.

So far today I've gotten 8 phone cals from people with heavy accents who leave messages about a debt for which they claim I will be sued and even jailed. They are from 5 different numbers, including this one. I'm sure it is because of payday loans. This happened a few weeks ago and when I started researching debt collection scams and tracing phone numbers, the calls stopped.  Hmmmm.....

Answered it, and a woman with a strong accent asked for Nicole (not my name, nor anyone I know).  She apologized and hung up.  Hopefully that's the last of that...I tend to doubt it, considering what I see here.

They have called three times, never leave a message!  I tried to call back and it said it was disconnected.  Best thing to do is block it from your phone!

The first 3 times they called it said nothing and the forth time they called it was a man looking for Carmen brown.
