Got a call to my work phone.

Keeps calling me at work and home. I have not taken out a payday loan. My boss has even ask them not to call. They will call back a 100 times, today they got  very vulgar with me. and said things about my children. They are b*****ds.I did contact the police department and am contacting the Attorney Generals office. They are crazy.!!!!!!!

I received a call at work today from this number. From "Office James Turner" who had a middle eastern accent and told me that he had to inform me that I may be in trouble, I told him I could not have personal calls at work, so he asked that I call him back after work because" he had to tell me"  needless to say I will not call him back then he will have my cell number! creepy that they can do this

I have a week receiving calls at work from a man called Richard Clay.  I spoke to him today and he insulted me, when I let a co-worker speak to him, he hung up the phone.  He stated that I need to pay for a loan I did not apply for.  He spoke very rude and even used foul language.  I would like to know what can I do about this.

a middle eastern person called multiple times and will not fax nay information regarding the so called case they have using my social security number. They are nat able to provide any information on the case.

I answered after called about 3 times in a 1 minute period.  I am glad to hear it is a scam.  I was trying to figure out who I had not paid back.  The funny thing is I have laryngitis and should not have answred the phone could hardly say yes.  Called me many names all I could do was grunt and them hu.

same thing keeps happening to me i told them gonna contact my local law enforcement and file charges cause they threatening my life and the sissy hung up such brave souls

The reason he is telling you that you received this loan is because he stole your information from a payday loan website and that's all he needs to attempt to extort money from you. From what I can see from reading other posts on this site, if you tell him you'll have your lawyer call him, he may stop. Then, if you can, have someone you know call and say they're a lawyer and start reciting the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), below is a breakdown of what is in the Act:

That may work to stop him. If he believes it's an attorney, he might back off. Try it, it can't hurt. The worst that can happen is he will still call...

I keep getting this indian sounding man that says his name is keith on one phone call and then he said his name is john on another phone call. He said that I owe a loan that was taken out for 300.00 from payday loans. I do admit to trying to get a loan and i was denied for it and he states that I had received it. He wont stop calling me. SCAM SCAM SCAM..

Two weeks ago I received a call from this "company" from a number with a TX area code...  Same speech, same scam.  Today, my office and my cell were called from THIS number with the same song and dance telling me the Sherriff would be coming to my office to arrest me and I would be fired from my job, etc. due to this "unpaid payday loan".   The scam continues.  This is incredible!  I hope less people are falling for their scare tactics.

Both times I've been called I told them I know they are full of BS and scammers.  They keep trying though!

This number has called our house an obscene amount of times harassing us with obscene language. We filed a local police report and also about to file with the Attorney General's office. Told these a**holes that debt is not a criminal offense, it's civil and bring it on. It's been a constant fight with these f**ks for over a month from different numbers. They've called as "Officer O'Neil," (Funny, doesnt sound Irish!) and also "Officer Walter," (Doesn't sound white either!) These are middle eastern scam artists trying to scam innocent people's money through threats and fear, DO NOT give them money, information or the time of day. Said they were known as Dept of law and investigation.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!! Filed a Police Report and Reported them to the Attorney General's Office.  When you don't give them the information they want they use obscene language..... Verbally abusive....

This is a scam!!! I contacted my attorney and they assured me that this was a scam.  I have since filed a police report and have reported them to the Attorney General's Office

I GOT A CALL TODAY FROM THIS NUMBER. A MIDDLE EASTERN MAN WITH AN AMERICAN NAME. SAYING I NEEDED TO CALL THEM RIGHT AWAY. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!! THEY'VE BEEN CALLING ME FOR MONTHS. I TOOK OUT A PAY DAY LOAN MONTHS AGO AND SOME HOW THESE PEOPLE GOT MY INFO. ALL MY LOANS ARE PAID OFF. PLUS THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO TELL ME WHAT LOAN COMP. WAS FILLING AGAISNT ME OF SEND ME ANY INFO REGARDING THIS CHARGE!!!!!!!!!! THE MAN CALLING ME WAS NAMED OFFICER WALTER.

Got this same call on my work phone today, except this time it was a lady calling. She stated her name was Michelle Anderson

this number came upon my office this morning and it had the same familar middle eastern person tellling me i need to call them right away and it had the same signature as "i wish you good luck". It seems these people get shut down at one phone number and start up at a new one.it is driving me carazy
