Ok so my brother called these people back and got this info.
"Robin Wilson" claims to be an attorney for a payday loan company. He ssys the only way to pay your sebt is by credit or debit card, money gram, or western union. They do not accept money orders. They said to choose person-to-person transfer and write it out to:
Christine Lindberg, Elmwood Park, IL. Fax the receipt to 303-200-7011. My brother was put on hold six different times in 13 minutes while they had three different people come to the line. They were in a panic cause he told them we were paying and they couldn't tell us the name of the company. The first person the line said Dept. of Investigation and the last person said he was an attorney for Cash Net.

Caller stated they were an Officer for Dept. of Law Enforcement looking for a specific employee.  When I returned call they didn't answer my question about what law enforcement agency they were calling from. Called three times.

They called me and told me that I had a payday loan out that was overdue & I had to pay it right now.  The thing is is that the email address they had I shut down 3 months before they said the loan took place.  He threatened my job, everything.  He knows too much personal information about me though & makes me really nervous.  He asked me if I had a lawyer & told me he expected a call back in 2 hours from him.  He has a fake case number & everything.  They are pissing me right off.  I think when he calls back I'm gonna tell him that I am doing his wife & calling it even!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  See how he likes that.

thanks for your comments. they just called me again and left a nasty message saying "if i did not return their calls i would be in a lot of trouble telling me to respond right away or else! and yes i would love to hunt them down but i am a Christian and a good person. i just cannot think that way. revenge is just not in my character. i just pray over it and hope they will just leave me alone this time around. but since it happened to me before they obviously have too much information on me already and would just like to know how they got my name and number in the first place. if there is an American company leaking our information out they need to be arrested and prosecuted.

i think that W. Jones has them pegged to a 'T'. they are not from our country and are somehow bouncing their calls off American phone numbers and they are in the middle east. most cannot even speak english which should be your first clue it is a scam. and he has it right, this is a type of terrorism in my opinion. if they messed with my girlfriend and made her cry i would hunt them down! but they will burn in HELL for what they are doing to good people here in the United States. and they say Americans are evil. i don't see us doing this kind of crap to them. but they deserve what they get. the old addage what comes around goes around.comes to mind. I really hope they get theirs!!!

yes this is the second time i have gotten calls from these kind of people. before it was from a Florida number threatening me. at least this time i could understand the person. he identified himself as officer Johnson. THEY ARE NOT INSIDE OUR COUNTRY THEY ARE CALLING FROM THE MIDDLE EAST!! these are attempts to get your information and rip you off. it is an old scam. like i said before this is the second instance in where someone calls me and says they are from the department of law and investigations and they are rerouting their calls from the middle east and bouncing them off numbers here in the U.S. i wish we could do something but i am afraid it is almost impossible since they are not inside the U.S. but i have not tried the F.B.I. yet. they may be able to help i am not sure. maybe Interpol could help us but i think it is doubtful. they will continue to call you. i think short of changing our number there is not much we can do about it. just so you know THIS IS A SCAM! YOU ARE NOT IN ANY KIND OF TROUBLE. SO DO NOT LET IT STRESS YOU OUT!! ignore them if you can if you have caller I.D. i can tell you this they are very rude and pretty much just mean people. i wonder what ALA would have to say about these kind of people. in my opinion they are terrorists in as such that they threaten us. they even scared the s*** out of my girlfriend and made her cry for an hour thinking we were in some kind of trouble. i had to show her my documentation from the previous time this happened to convince her i had done nothing wrong and was not in trouble. it affected my relationship and to me that is terrorism and harassment. they need to be stopped somehow!

I said this on the other thread for the other number they call from go to the website prankdial.com and just prank dial them a few times a day, if youre lucky they will fall for one and you will get a good laugh from the recording if you can even understand them with their thick accent!

Why do these people keep calling?  The indian gentleman that called said his name was Edward Leroy, okay like that's really an indian name.  He said he was from a law firm and that there was money owed on a payday loan.  I have no idea who these people are and no open payday loans.

You cannot go to the police...well, you can, but there is nothing they can do. and nothing the Attorney General of your state can do.  There is no actual address for these people.  Local police department said they use magic jack phones .  Magic Jack can stop the phone number, but they will just use another one and call you under a different name and tell you they are another company.   Montel Williams should be ashamed of himself for associating his name to Money Mutual - that's where mine came from:  those companies that Money Mutual refers you to.   Luckily my contract with the cable company runs out next month and I am shutting down the phone.  in the meantime - if they call at work, I am no longer working there.  If they call here again - I am deceased.

this was for a old pay day loan i had taken out in june of last year. he also wanted me to put something in writing with my info and cc number . when i didnt do it he continues to call and use profanity and very vulgar language .. i assumed they were out of the country because i could barely understand them ......l looked up the company and it gave a name of paul deines in Co.. I called the phone co they said to change my number

received about 40 calls from this number. I asked the man to stop calling he then used profanity saying
f..... me and to perform oral sex on him .... mind you i said it very nicely compared to what he said .... he then continued to call many times after i had to have my phone company to put a trace on the calls ....

He threatened me saying I got 15 minutes to send over the money or else he's taking me to jail. I hung up on him, then he calls back. I hang up and this goes around for a good 10 minutes. I start calling and hanging up on him till I think he turned off his line cause I told him this call was being tracked.

Do we get a hold of the cops or the FBI? If so, how do I go about that?

There are a lot of different numbers they call from.  If you have every applied or looked into one of those "pay day" loans, this is where they get their information from.  Even if you never received the loan they get you.  IT IS DEFINITELY A SCAM.  DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE THEM MONEY!!!!!!  If you can record the conversation do so, but I doubt it will help you.  The numbers they use have been traced by law inforcement and they are all dummy companies, but same people.  They will also leave messages on answering machines of people who you have used as references so you might want to let them know also.

Called threatening me, saying they knew were I lived regarding an outstanding bill my friend had put me on as a reference.  cursed at me every name in the book.  IT IS A SCAM.  I've called the FTC, made a police report and spoken to my attorney.  They've called 1000 times in a minute.  There is legally nothing we can do because they are out of the country.  Just dont answer the phone.

They told a co-worker of mine the same thing.... !!!!!   I think something needs to be done ??

They haven't called me back yet but I'm waiting for them to do. They told me to write a statement with my debit card information with expiration date, security code and a photo copy of my drivers license saying that I authorize ACS to deduct $1175 from my debit card. They told me that I have to fax this before 3pm today or else there going to sue me for $10,000 and take me and my old co-worker to jail. They got a hold of my personal information somehow and they're trying to get money out of me. It's so ridiculous.... It's funny. But they can go suck a d*ck for all I care. I'm waiting for that call so I can scare the f*ck out of them.

Report it to your attorney general. That is what I am doing because i got the exact same call today!!!

Got the same call they left a message. Yelling  at  me that I'll go to jail if I don't send my debit card information by 2 days then they will sue me. Then they started yelling and threatening me. It's irritating. They're gonna call me back, now I'm wondering if I should have a little fun and make stuff up like tell them I know there location andthat the cops are surrounding there building now. Maybe I should get a bunch of my friends andtell them to call this number all at the same time so they leave us alone for good. These people are so annoying... Just think they should eat there own sh*t. If anyone is down to join this telephone riot I think we should talk haha.

This Indian caller claiming he is a Law Enforcement Officer keeps calling saying that I owe some kind of money.  Its the same person that keeps calling me too.  These people are frauds, do not give any information out.  These people keep changing their identities to get people to give them money.

I got a call also & they was cussing at me & told me something about ask my father's !  Threating to put a friend of mine in jail for fruad  lol    They got well hateful with me also when i started to ask them where they are calling frm & so on.......    Should the police be called ?  they said they worked for the FBI    hmmmmmmmmmm.

I am receiving phone calls from this number as well threatening to put me in jail.  Completely a scam, when you challenge them they get very mean and lound then hang up on you.

I just got the same call, This guy that calls says his name is "Officer Tony Scott"  It was the same message as you got. Have you called back? I did and started to ask him questions and he hung up on me..

He has called me over a thousand times today

These foreign people keep calling me and leaving messages.  They say they are from The Deparment of Law and Investigation and the call is time sensitive.  What the heck and who the heck are these people.
