I got several calls from mr Anderson from Hopkins law firm his number is 1 (646) 340-8249. I told him I was calling 911 then he told me to s*** his*****! Wow unreal! Where are the laws to protect us from this bull?? So sick of these people!!

I have been getting the same harrasment calls. I just spoke with a legal aid today and according to a lawyer..we can report this to federal trade commission...website is www.ftc.gov. Goodluck

I got a call from this number as well as the 303-351-9669...the sad part is that the guy (with a thick indian accent) called me to my direct line at work. I did not understand a word he said but I did understand when he wants me to confirm if I live in such and such address and to confirm my ssn. He also left me a voicemail to my cell and today I called him. He said there is a legal case against me and so I told him to send me a letter since I have no idea that there is a legal case against me, so far i have not done something that resulted into a legal case. He then said he can only call me and not sent any letter unless I verify my information with him. I told him well if he is a legal firm like he said he is, he should send me a courtesy letter. He said he will make sure he will put me behind bars as I was telling him that I believe he is a scam. By the way, I called a legal aid and the lawyer advised me to file a complaint to federal trade commission...www.ftc.gov. I will definitely do this and I hope this will help us all.

For the last two day's I have gotten harassing phone calls from a "HOPKINS LAW FIRM" I recently tried to get a cash advance but never went through with it because I found out it was a scam. This guy had a VERY strong acsent so it was hard to to make out everything he was saying when I asked him what it was regarding and he said the cash advance company, it sent up red flags so I asked his name the adress of the company he worked for (which he didnt tell me) so I told him I was going to to contact the police to have them investagated he than told me that I was going to be put behind bars and his company was going to sezie anything I have of value! I want these calls to stop when you hang up on them they call right back again and again somtimes from a different #. Any thoughts on how to make them stop?

Yes this guy calling from 303-416-7065 is gonna get cought sooner or later. I tracked the number to a land line in Denver.

They had my ssn and addy when they called ...i told then if I'm being sued to send papers officually served abd the calls stopped

Our company is also receiving harassing calls from these idiots. They claim one of our independent contractors owes them money and they are going to report us to the FBI. They have cussed out several of our employees who and have also claimed to work for the American Department of Law (whatever that is).

This is a scam. I can't believe anyone would give them info over the phone or payment! Has anyone been able to get the calls to stop if so how?

Me too, I told them that I had contacted my attorney and they would be getting in touch with them.  Then a lady called me from a different number same company and I told them the same thing.  I knew something was funny in the first place talking bout SS#.  That was the major clue.  I am hoping that they call back so I can harass the hell out of them.  Do they really think that people are that stupid.  Never got any correspondence saying there was a problem, and then you have a thick accent, that can barely be understood.

I just received a call with this person, was saying he is officer Mike Walter. He said he was collecting from a pay day loan that we had. I asked for information about what payday loan it was and he could not give the information that I was requesting. He said it was confidential and that they do not want to do anything with us, that is why they forward it to them. This person has an indian accent. He threaten to call my finaces work and get him fired. I told him that I reported this to the police and reported to the Federal about this fraud going around and that they have freezed all our accounts to further investigate. He then got so upset and started yelling at me. He told me that we were criminals and that we will go to jail and that we will pay alot of money for not cooperating with him. I was asking for documents but could not provide them. He then told me f*** you bi*** and hung up. Later my fiances employer called and was asking for information about his supervisor, his employer then asked for documentation before giving any further information, he then said that it was not his job to provide information and that it was there job, he got upset at my employer and told her to do her job, and do it right. We made a mistake by providing my information and faxing the documents that he has requested. I have reported it to the bank as fraud, and they have canceled my account and will return my money, but will do further investigation. Also they have used numerous of different numbers, and they are: 303-484-4804 & 303-6478136. Be aware they are false people that wants money. They have all information about anyone that they call, and we are wondering how they are able to gather those information, and to top it off they are personal information. How could we stop this, we need to stop this. When they process my first payment the first time also, I called the number that showed up in my account and when I called the and indian guy name Ray Parker said how did I get the number, I then ask what collector was he and where he was from, he just gave me that he was a collector that process payment called VCollection. I asked for address he didn't provide it. He then ask for my account number, I said no because it was personal and I would like information of who process the payment from my account. He was stuck in answering my information. he then said he will get the information but will take him half an hour to gather the information, I told him it does not take that long to get the information I am requesting. He said he will call back, but never did. Lastly, when I went to the back and looked at the transaction, it came out miscellaneous business service. TOTAL FRAUD! BE AWARE.

got a call at work from a man with a thick indian he said that he is an officer from the department of law & investigation an his name is Robbin Wilson he said that i received money from a loan company and i need to pay them $400 dollars or they going to sue me for $12,000 dollars... i'm concerned because they have some personal information of mine and i have no idea where are they getting this info.

I got a call from a Mr Black, asking for a co worker. When I told him to stop calling her and harrasing her, he said he was going to send the cops to my office. He accused my co worker of theft and fraud. I told him it was illegal to harrass and falsly accuse someone. He got mad and said the police and the FBI were going to come for us, then told me he was going to transfer me to "officer Paul" When I talked to "officer Paul" I asked to speak to his manager and he trasfered my to another guy with a really bad english accent, and it just got worse from there! This is a major FFC fraud and Im going to report them!

my daughter has been receiving calls from this number also and he has been calling her work.I think it has become too easy for these scammers to get our personell info, there has to be something we can do to stop them. They are harrassing her at work, home, cell. Anyone that has any info on how they delt with them please let us know. He said he was with a lawfirm called paul Johnson and he was Paul Johnson, not with that accent

called me at work and left a voicemail - "Max Jordan" form a law firm (accent so thick I didn't understand half of what he said) and that I was being sued by a company (also didn't understand) and that my attorney needs to contact and I need to send copies of my identification to them...

I got a call from this number once last month and than again this month. They would not give me any information about themselves until I played along with there game. I have them the info they needed but they can not get the money from me. They keep calling my work though and using inapropate language to my employer and work mates. I am worried that I will get fired for this because he keeps calling and calling my work. he can not get ahold of me. what should I do  I told my work the guy is a fraud. He calls himself an officer but he is not.

i just fell into their trap. i got a call from a mr anderson stating that i owed money. he threatened to sue me and have my wages garnished, and possibly arrested. he also threatened to call my employer and tell them that i was a horrible person, and that i may lose my job. in fear of my freedom and job stability, i agreed to pay them and i gave them all of my information - credit card, address, pic id. once i did further research, i realized that this is some type of scam. i called mr anderson back and he got very angry. i asked him to provide me with the date that i supposedly got the loan and the name of the lender; he was unable to provide this information. he threatened to call my employer again and i told him to go ahead because they are expecting you to call. i immediately went to my bank and notified them about the fraudulant transaction. i hope i will get my money back! mr anderson ended hanging up on me.

I received a call from a Mr. Wilson from this number and he harassed my coworker for her to put me on the phone then he hung up on her, then I called them back from my cell phone and recorded the conversaion during the phone call he called me all kinds of names and now he won't answer his phone but it my turn now I have his number programed in my phone and I will call him every hour and curse him out.

I just recieved a call from this number, said I owed them money.  When I ask for them to send me information in the mail, they said they would send the sheriff

Collectors trying to be police officers.. everyone, if you can record the conversation or tell them to sen you the information by mail.. that way is evidence that they are pretending to be officers.. a felony.

I have also had a call from them today regarding a so called payday loan. When I asked them what law firm they were from and then googled it I couldn't find it and told them so. Once I did that he told me that he was going to send the information to my employer and let them know how sorry I was and hung up.

Jen so have today I played there game contacted my local police department then called them back and told Mr. Anderson to contact such and such detective and the department and he told me to " f***- off" how crazy so all afterrnoon at work I continue to call and harrass this mr anderson. Ask them to send you information in the mail and once they do it is the mail fraud and a felony.
It scared the crap out of me at first but now I think they should reap what the sow.

Same deal, some gentleman with a heavy SE Asian accent called my work, asking to S/W me... then asked to speak w/ my supervisor... my boss raked him over the COALS!!!  AWESOME to work for a place like mine... can't say the name but it's orange, we wear arpons and we don't cook.  WHAT A GREAT SUPPORT TEAM!

I had fun with these people and called them back numerous times. When I annoyed them enough times one of the "officers" threatened to kill me. Big clues were the fact that I asked questions and they answered with information that was over a year old.

I got a call from a caller with a heavy indian accent at my job saying he's officer Leroy from the Law office of some department I know these are a bunch of scammers. They're rude and ridiculous how do these people get our numbers

I keep getting this call.  they claim to be a legal department but will not give me any information.  They threaten to have police come to my work.  They say I have borrowed money from some payday place and that I am in default.  Never happened.

got a call at work from a man with a thick indian or pakistan accent stating he is Inspector Stan Johnson . state he is an attorney for the Hopkins Law Firm. He told me to get a pen and paper and write down a number he gave me. I did as he instructed and then I proceeded to tell him not to call this number again as this is my work number. He said dont call you about what? I said for anything at all and he said i am going to sue you and contact your supervisor and get you fired. I said. OK and have a nice day. and hung up. My supervisor has been informed of these harassing calls and am calling Home Land Security and reporting this call and many others that have been received. I am tired of being harassed at home and at work. Enough is enough. I have also contacted my attorney.

caller called asking for previous employee at business office. was told the employee no longer worked here. the caller started being very rude accusing me of lying and that he knew i was lying. that i better tell him why she no longer worked here because it was the most important question of my life. istated he was calling from something rosenthal something office. i told him that actuallyit wasn't and that he was being very rude. he then told me so what if he was, what was i going to do about it and i answered i could hang up and i did. very rude person
