Received a call with a message left onanswering machine from tnhis number.  Man had a heavy accent which was more difficult to understand; claimed to be from IRS with the criminal investigation department.  Identified himself as Officer Steve.  Indicates that they had been contacted bythe legal federation because my name had been used with a different social security number.  Requested a call back to a 202 area code number.   The number that showed up on the caller ID was for Tim Buchalski at 303-442-9287;  a few minutes later received another call from 593-428-7179 but a message was not left from that number

Caller ID said "Ronald Lamb".  Did not answer.

Just  got a call from this number telling me that somebody called them to get back to me because I have a health problem!
What the hell is this?

I DON'T EVEN ANSWER THESE NUMBERS IF I DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS, I LOOK THEM UP SOMETIMES AND  ITS ALWAYS THE SAME .  SOME PERSON WITH HEAVY NOT FROM THE UNITED STATES ACCENT.  I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY BOTHER ME

Indian guy called my mobile to inform me that i had been refused a loan and he would explain to me why! He knew my name! - I havent applied for a loan and hung up!

I just got a call and he said he was from Microsoft and was insisting they were getting signs that my computer was infected. I told him my computer wasn't on and he said the little messages are coming thru anyway. I told him I haven't had internet on for a month and he said that doesn't matter. I said if it isn't on you can't get messages.Finally after all his ways of me having a virus I said it wasn't even plugged in. He hung up.. :)

Got a call around 620pm accent guy ( indian or Pakastan type) , says from micresoft and wants to check problems on computer, I said its fine and told him he was a scammer and I had forwarded this call to police on other line , he hung up. Don't anyone br fooled by this latest scam

My friend got a call saying, "You are being watched stay away from drugs", caller id said U.S Westmillenn

Call and no one there; I am sure they will call back and maybe on another number.

I received a phone call from this number looking for the person who previously had my phone number.  He claimed he was calling from the IRS looking into a tax fraud associated with this persons SSN.  The name and number he left on the answering machine did not match what had appeared on the caller ID.  The number he called from was residential and the only information I can get about the number he left to call him back is that it is a land line somewhere in the United States.

same man calling saying he has pharmacy medicine to sell over the phone, told him NOT to call again and take my phone number off his list....

Heavy Indian accent male caller from "Microsoft"; asking me to provide personal information in order that he might "help" me avert a computer problem.  

We just got a call on our land line from this number, caller ID said Boulder, Colorado.  Fellow talked with a heavy accent.  Said he was from Windows, and we were having problems with our computer and Windows could fix it, we just had to sign onto our computer.  Husband told them that was odd because wife just got a new computer today and the professional who installed it didn't detect a problem.  

Husband asked for the guy's name and phone number and said he would call him back.  Guy hung up on husband.

This same fellow has called 3 times in last 3 days, each time with the same story.

This is a scammer. Report all calls to government who can take action against them. Go to www.DoNotCall.gov.

The rogues are still at it. Really hard to stop them.

I got a call from this number and said they were from Microsoft support group and my computer needs fixing.  I said I did not no them and they could not speak very plain English.  said they would call me back in 3 to 4 hours. time enough to check up on them..    then I found this site.  They told me they had my serial numbers from my computer.

I received a call from this number. The guy asked for me by my full name and then asked if I had applied for a credit card from a bank I've never heard of.

I got a call from this number, but it was because my dogs are missing...  he kept saying they had a gov't team that would find my dogs.  He also called from another number I saw on here, 718-377-9204.  Both times he said he was from the "Dog Rescue Team" and they could have over 200 people searching a 100 mile radius.  All gov't funded, but I could "pay them if I wanted".  Yea....  SO much bs, I'm so upset already about my dogs and they are trying to exploit me in my grief.

Two days in a row I had a call from that number. A guy with a strong Indian accent asks me if I speak English. Of course, I say no (!!!) and continue in French, or even Spanish. They tell me to visit their web site (which is similar to the one posted above but I did not really mark it down). I told  them that since they know I have problem they must have my IP address... they gave me my home address (funny to hear a French name pronounced by a guy with an Indian accent! At first, I did not  even recognized it!!!). The guy threatened me that since he had my address, he could "arrest" (that was his actual word) my computer. Had "fun" teasing him for a while until he finally hung up on me. Tonight, the guy was not as "fluent" in French and hung up quickly.

I too suspect they want me to visit their website to get a "diagnosis" of my computer while they would in fact infect it with a malware so they can get access to my usernames and passwords.

I got a call from this Indian guy saying he was from Microsoft support group and I have a virus on my computer and it needs to be fixed! I told him he was full of s*** scammer and to quit calling me and hung up on him! He then calls me back and said he what´s to f*** my mother & and sister at the same time and told me to f*** off! What a ?needs to get a life? dumb s***!!!

I got a call from this number.  I said the computers at my house have no problem.  Told him to tell me the IP address and name of the computer... pause, pause... then said "853453" the number you created yourself.  I replied - that is not an IP address... pause, pause... I did not hear the click but they hung up.

Hi over there!Got a ph. call and accent was truly Indian-kind of..asked if i had an opportunity to invest..if i gave a permission an investment expert would call at time which would fit to me.Jep,time fitting to me to steel my money with a fraud.We are here mostly too kind not to hung up instantly,but to these dudes is better not to give any extra secs...The name this time was Roy Lester?

Received a call from this # from a man witg a heavy Infian accent. Told me I was selected to get $8000 in free federal grant $. Said that a certain # of people who pay taxes on time and who are not criminals are selected.  Asked if I knew where a western union bank was and then said that I needed to pay a $325 deppait which I would get back within minutes. Wantes me to write down the information to send the deposit ..I hung up and he called 3 times within the hr. Also used a 607#

It was a blank call.. No one spoke.  The caller ID says "U S Westmillenn".

THIS IS A SCAM. Read about the your-PC-is-infected-corrupted scam here http://news.softpedia.com/news/Cold-Call-Tech ... on-150170.shtml They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., and say your PC is about to crash to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!). If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware, possibly a malware suite, that can spam, steal bank logins and personal info, etc. If they've remoted into your PC, the safest fix is to re-format your drive and re-install your OS assuming you have clean backups of your data. You can try scanning with various antivirus software but scanning may not find all the malware. If you don't know how, get help from friends or pay a local shop to do it. THIS IS A SCAM.

I just got a call from some scammers... they said with an accent, "are you the main computer user in your home sir?" I said yes, they said something about my computer sending out errors due to malicious software in my computer to microsoft, I said OH do you have my IP address? they said no we have your microsoft ID, I said ok what is it then.... CLICK....lol
