We have 18 location and these people call each location and get someones name and fool them into thinking they are our copier dealer. They ask about the copier model and then send toner saying that a named person ordered it. It's tough will 18 locations to insure people don't talk with them.  I useally get a call after they ship the toner and we don't pay. I tell them thay have 7 days to pick up their shipment or I will start charging  storage charges on unsolicted product. they generally get it picked up.
the company is Reliable printing or reliable toner out opf the Denver .CO area. they use a california company for the billing to hide themselves. the billing is MDS. the nuber reliable used was 303-744-9456

Guy called and asked for me, before letting me finish what I was going to say he rudely interrupted me and said "well I guess you are not the one who makes these decisions" I hung up on him. He called back and was rude the second time I tried to explain I was not interested and hung up. He called a third time in a row and I asked him to remove our name from their calling list and he would not let me speak to a manager. I am looking into reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Hi, I am the receptionist at General Plastics.  I received three calls from this number.  I told them I was not interested in all three calls.  The gentleman (not in my opinion) talked over me on several occasions when I wanted to tell him to take us off his list of calls.  He is very rude and they run this scam where they first put on one person, then when he can't handle the heat from us, the other one comes on and starts the scam all over again.  I told them I wasn't interested.  They call back and say we got disconnected,  NOT.  We hung up...

OMGosh, i just talked to these people today. Told them i didn't want anything. I get a ton of these calls and told him we only use HP cartridges. Said no several times. And stupid me, i agreed to 2 small cartridges for a desktop printer. I was SO sucked in by this guy. I've been scammed before and told him not going to do it again. He was SO convincing and so believable i did it! I thought I'd just go online and check them out and found all these posts. Well, guess when i receive them i will refuse the order and wash my hands of it. I could kick myself!

SMS
This company called trying to sell us ink supplies.  They were very discourteous when I informed them we already have an ink contract.  "Angela" just slammed the phone down.

I don't think this is a reputable business otherwise she would have known this is not unusual for printing companies.

FYI...I chose SMS below but I'm not sure what SMS is, except Sales Marketing Service (or something like that).  This was definitely a sales call.

"Evan" from 303-447-0697 @ Reliable Printing called and insisited on talking to the owner of our company.  He became rude when I wouldnt interupt the owner to put through another unsolicitted sales call.  He became more upset and rasied his voice, so he was disconnected. He called back right away and again asked for our president by name, but wouldnt advise who he was.  Caller ID and voice was the same as the last call.  he again started with the unprofessional and familiar dude type lingo, then got nasty.  Somehow the receiver got hung-up again on my end - Gee I hate it when that happens.......

Received numerous calls from hard salespeople.  Initial sales process was a little pushy but I received great product which offered unbelievable manufacturer direct savings.  I never take the time to report good experiences only bad but I was so taken aback by the results of this company I had to post.  Now we use their products exclusively at our many locations.

The person just called me asking who was in charge of purchasing the ink/toner supplies for our company. I told him, that would be me, and all of our equipment is leased and our supplies are included. I told him that we weren't interested, thank you, and hung up.  He called right back, with a RUDE louder tone in regards to me not giving him 30 sec.!! Harrassing... Then he hung up on me after I told him I would have the owner call him back.

A guy called asking for our owner by name. He sounded like one of our customers so was being friendly and said "May I ask who is speaking? I recognize this voice."  He said "OK Great" with a rude tone then hung up.  Does he actually get paid to do this? We get called repeatedly from these numbers.  I hope he finds purpose and meaning in life!

(I suspect "Franchise Owner" posting above must be part of that company.)

They call over & over to hang up on us when we ask basic questions. ( Who is this , you have to speak with purchasing, etc. ) News flash Reliable printing, it's 2010 & companies have caller id !! I would never give your company the time of day after the couple ridiculous attempts you have made to do business . I would not accept free supplies from your company at this point!!! You run the most unprofessional sales team i have ever seen in my 10 years of purchasing.I suggest you have a training seminar on how to make "cold calls" before you have to shut your phones off permanently !!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - BEWARE - THIS IS A SCAM

They have called and called - they use several different phone #'s that are legit, to a different business/company.  IT IS NOT THEIR #.  Sometimes the 303 area codes shows up on the phone, but when you call ANY of the #'s back, it either does not go through or it is to a totally different business.

This company has SCAM written all over it.  They get your name and address and just send you the toner and bill.  DO NOT PAY THE BILL - If they call or payment, we tell them it was an unauthorized purchase and we consider it a DONATION.  Thank You Very Much.  Then hang up.

16 Ways You Can be Phone Scammed

18 Nov 2008
When we started 800Notes.com we had no idea that telemarketing fraud comes in so many flavors. The variations include 'cramming', 'slamming', credit card scams, calls from telemarketers pretending to be IRS, sweepstakes and lotteries scams, advance fee  loan scams, phone toner scams, fat finger dialing scams, and area code phone scams.
Typically the goal is to get you to reveal personal, bank account information, or to make you do something that will result in unwanted charges on your account. Individuals and businesses are equally affected by these scams although the schemes might be different.
In this article I will outline the 16 most popular phone scams. I am sure there are more, so if you have been a victim of a phone scam, or you know of a phone scam not mentioned here, please share it with me and the readers in the comments.
Send this article to your family members, co-workers, and employees. Give it to your teenage kids and elderly parents (studies show they are the most vulnerable to the scams). As the old saying goes, "Forewarned is Forearmed".

10.    Phone Toner Scam: The scam artist poses as a warehouse representative or vendor and makes contact with a targeted company. He will say "This is (first name), I need the model number off your copier". If the person who answers gives this info, the scammers will try to set up a shipment of toner. Of course, the deal is so good that the offer is based on a limited supply or limited time, pressuring the employee to act fast and get their money's worth. Upon delivery, both the employee and the company are usually in for a big surprise. The price of the invoiced toner is 2-3 times higher than expected, and the scam artist threatens with legal fines if the company fails to pay.

We have have been receiving calls from this number off and on for the last month or so usually no one ever responds, bu today somoeone was actually there. The caller identified himself as Mark calling with "Reliable" and wanted to speak to our office manager. When I asked him what the call was regarding he became very rude and said that that was between him and my office manger. I told him the office manager was not going to take his call unless she knew why he was calling. He then asked if I was the phone screener and I replied "I guess you can say that" he than said "Well I guess I can't do business with your company" and hung up. We are on the do not call list. This is definitely a scam.

I just had my second call from this group.  I told them I might call them back and asked for a return number.  It was 888-241-6899.  The same you had.  Person I talked to said her name was Willowsong.  She gave me the spiel that other manufactures only filled their cartridges partially full and then used a filler in the rest of the cartridge.  Reliable's cartridge was filled up to 95% giving us 2 1/2 times the yield per cartridge.  The cartridge we use would be $124 per cartridge but because their's lasted so much longer it made the cartridge only about $40+.  Willowsong also threw around how they were OEM certified and that their cartridges were manufactured to the exact specifications as the HP cartridge I was using. She just sounded slick and I decided to google Reliable Printing.  I'm very glad I did.

called me at the school where I work.  I gave him a cartridge number, just for kicks.  He called me "hon" (strike 1).  When I called him on it, he told me not to get myself ahead of the game...didn't know why that would be inappropriate.  Then, told me my life must suck if that insults me (yeah right), finally told me not to "get my panties in a bunch" over it.  Not professional at all, and a scam to boot.

Okay...I did some "investigating" on this company...some of this information can be found on BBB's website....and some in this blog.

Two entities: "Century Computer Products" and "Reliable Printing Solutions"

Address: 2230 Michigan Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90404

Phone numbers (that actually get to a person): Reliable - 888-241-6899, Century - 800-409-9990

According to the woman who answered the phones at the 888 number, Sales calls center has no "inbound" calls.

I called this 865-429-8501 (which I found in the blog). It lead to a man named George Christopher Mills (GC Mills) who works for a company called "Davis Print Group". According to him, "Reliable Printing" was bought out by Davis Print group and went out of business in 2007. He states that he started receiving reports of a scam using the "Reliable Printing" name in 2008, and that he continues to receive random calls regarding the impostor. He also states that his company had hired detectives to search 2 states (Colorado - which it seems the call center is located, and California - which is some other office) find these people which turned up no results. During the course of our conversation, it would seem that the impostors activities are having a negative impact on his company. He also said that if I happen upon more information regarding these people, or needed to, if I could contact him.....I'm thinking...maybe I should have asked for the investigators information.

Website: NONE

Well...that's all I have for now.

this guy Steve Elliot (his# always comes up as private) claiming to be from Reliable Printing in Boulder Colorado has been calling us for the past few months very insistently wanting to send us ink/toner supplies. he's always verrrrry persistent. he insists that he wants to send us 2 free ink cartridges and if we like them we can pay if not we can pay them back. the ink supposedly does the work of three cartridges that we normally buy.  it seemed like a good deal but when i asked for his website he said its rpsinc.com so while i was on the phone with him i looked that up.  it's some railroad company. then when i tell him that he says oh wait they don't have their website up and running yet. ha whatever.  i've been talking to him for months, and they don't have a website up and running. then i find this site and find all this stuff about them.  this is totally a scam!!! i told him not to call anymore.

Okay....Reliable Printing called me again today....the guys name is "Larry". (he called from a different 303- something number - Sorry!) I told him that I googled his company and they didn't have good repertoire, that they has many (a total of 126 something) complaints with the BBB and that our company only does business with "reputable" companies. He was busy trying to talk over me, saying things that "its not 'uncommon' to have an "F" rating on BBB", that the only people who go to BBB's website are "complainers" and "whiners" and likened the authors of the complaints as persons who go to a restaurant and complain about "cold gravy"...I'm sorry, but if I wanted cold gravy...I would stay at home! He then was saying things like, according to BBB's records, there wasn't a complaint that was improperly handled and blazie blah and that he can handle any type of questions that come up concerning there reputability. I said "I'm sorry, but we won't be using your services." He kept saying that I wasn't being "fair" because I was judging them on past experiences with different companies. I said again that we won't be using his company, and he kept saying "You aren't even listening to me! You aren't a good listener XXXXX (my name)! You aren't a good listener!" I said "No. You are not listening" and hung up.

Something in me wants him to call back while I have this page up, so he can respond to all of my questions regarding each post!

Hope this helps!
