While I applaud the fact you quit, you should also know that people do not appreciate cold calls that violate the DNC list! People are fed up with it and expect business's to actually use the DNC lists and leave them alone! After being violated repeatedly and bombarded with calls that refuse to remove people when asked, along with all the illegal scams, extortionist and down right fraud calls made, they get mad!  So its a two way street..  Be on the receiving end of this for awhile and you won't be a happy camper either!

I put them on block on my Panasonic cordless phone by pressing edit until I get the complete phone number including the 1 before the area code. Then press save. Next you get the the option to put them in your phonebook or call block. Of course chose call block. Next select Yes. Then chose save. My phone will save 30 of these calls. Then I earse them and start over.

If you have your owner maual it will show you how to block out of  area calls, unavailable numbers, and all the stuff doesn't give you a clue who made the call. If you don't have your owner manuel you might be able to find one on the internet. GOOD LUCK !

Worked for the company, they are HORRIBLE!!!!!! We where trained to that no means not yet. and to harass people to get their info. Also just letting everyone know, most of the people they hire are fresh out of jail, and these people have access to countless names and addresses, dates of birth and so much more, its just not right.

Well, if you follow through on your threat to call people at all hours of the day and night, then WRT to the lack of winning lawsuits... there's a first time for everything!

Oh great -- and when you get your J.D. maybe someone will hire you to sue this former employer of yours for violating the Do Not Call registry!

How dare you call people "a$$holes" who are on the DNC list and are getting cold calls from this company and are unable to get their numbers removed from this company's call list!  People who legitimately compain about such things aren't the a-holes.  Look in the mirror before you start calling other people names.

Sorry to disappoint EVERYBODY, but this company his been in business for quite a long time and not ONCE has there been a winning lawsuit against us. So for all of you that say you are going to sue us at Bolder Calls, try it. We have the best legal team on the west coast on call.

ALSO, if you tell us to put you on the DO NOT CALL LIST and then hang up immediately, YOU WILL NOT HEAR the employee tell you that by FEDERAL LAW we have 31 days to take your number out of our system, which MEAN you CAN and WILL get called for 31 days depending on how rude you are to the person you called. haha. So be nice and lets treat eachother like human beings. Just because we work through a telephone and not face to face people seem to believe they can be more rude.

WELL GUESS WHAT!! If you REALLY want to be a dick to us and piss us off we will WRITE DOWN your name and number PERSONALLY and call you like crazy  at all hours of the day and middle of the night while you sleep.

My suggestion is that you treat us like human beings when we are polite and professional to you or I will call you when I get off and be just as rude.

I think most people have a very dim view of telemarketers because of their scare tactics!!  Just what is a "typical American a##hole", anyway?

Take a moment to look at what you just wrote. You sound like a typical American a***ole that is "too good" to do a job such as telemarketing. The truth is that I work for this company and who would have thought a telelmarketer would be making $15-$20 an hour?!

And as for myself, I am a 4.0 student on the international honor society and have been awarded scholarships for my academic success towards pursuing a J.D. This is a PERFECT job for me while I attend school. Not only do they provide tuitition reimbursement but they are flexibile in their scheduling.

And for the record we do not sell anything when we call and we do not collect any financial information. We ask simple questions about your CAR insurance to see if we can provide lower rates or better coverage. It's a quote, don't be so sensitive.

We Are college students and we are working there because they pay a fair wage, work with school schedules and offer tuiton reembursement dont be upset with your caller because we dont choose the numbers we call.  A predictive dialing system handles all the dialing, all we can do is hangup as well and disposition the call as: Contact Unavailable, Answering Machine, Do Not Call List, Wrong Number, Not Qualified "because we can only offer people 21-64 or married to someone that age execpt florda which is 21-80 married doesnt matter" and Not Interested.  I am sorry we happen to call when you are putting your kids down and when i am told that, i say, "im sorry have a wonderful evening" and let you get back to your life.

Telemarketer
I just had a call from a local number in Tomball, Texas.   713-568-5925
I looked up the number and it's a house in a subdivision, owned by Patricia L. Lunsford.
The address is 19811 twisted creek dr.   Tomball, Tx 77375.
I called the number back and.....you got it---Boulder Calls !!
The recording said thank you for calling Boulder calls, press 2 if you would like to be taken off our call list.

Now, how do they do that? And is Patricia L. Lunsford a worker for them?

to all the people complaining about getting so many calls from Boulder (spelled correctly) Calls. It was what they are paid to do. The best way to stop getting calls from them is to actually say take me off your list. then wait for them to tell you it can take up to 31 days to have you removed. They get all the numbers from the insurance companies. And they don't know if you have been called 4 times before the computer doesn't tell them. they are required to hear from the person they are asking for a spouse that they are not interested. they also don't get a say in who they call the computer calls for them. There are also 4 ways that they are allowed to call someone on the DNC list and if they are calling you it is because of one of those  four ways. i.e if you have a cable company that sells there list, or if you sign up for a giveaway. IF you ask them to put you on the DNC list they will do it. NONE of them want to pay an $11,000 fine and you get $500 of it, all you have do is say please do not call me again. it should work just fine. and if you get a call again ask for a supervisor. It is simple and there is no need to freak about one small business. Furthermore the number they call you on is an outgoing phone number only it does not take incoming calls. If you want to speak to a real person then google the office number.

Oh, good, a Bolder rep stops in to put in a good word for the hard-working scammers at Bolder Calls. Yeah, I answered the call today. The nice hardworking lady, who couldn't tell me who she worked for, got quite indignant when I told her my private information is private and I would not like to disacuss it over the phone. I wonder how my Insurance Agent will like this when I call her on Monday? Might just have a problem with BC using her name.

keep getting the same Boulder CO calls and I think I know who it is. Someone in my family who needs money desperately and will call any fool who will fall for those crazy tricks of someone giving pertinent info about myself  and my social security number and homeowners info and other very critical info regarding such personal data. I never answer and hope they think I have left the country or am deceased. They have been waiting for me to be deceased and it is so scary. I am still here though.

I got a call from them. They hung up before leaving a message. I called the number back using 1 prefix then the number, and got an answering machine asking if I'd please leave a clear message stating I do not want solicitation calls if I do not want them. I left a proper message, stateing I do not want these calls. Should I get calls from this number or any veriation of this number, I will report the number accordingly, and that I have read repeated statements of harassment from this company. I will not put up with it, and it will take a total of one more time before this number will be filed as harassment. :3 So we'll see. I'll enjoy it if they call me back.

I'm sorry "anon" but anyone who works for a cold calling phone company that buys numbers to try and sell product is either a elementary school dropout, a criminal or an illegal that can't get a legit job. Stop defending this pathetic excuse for a "company", go get your GED, and start contributing to society..

I understand you're trying to defend them because you work there but those of us that are on the national do not call list and have asked numerous times for them to remove us from their list are not getting any help. Add to that the amount of times they call a number and either hang up or don't bother leaving messages at all. Either way, it's cold calling at it's worst.
So in a nutshell we shouldn't have to say "don't call me" as you suggest, nor should we have to listen to the "person" on the line. If we are on the no call list, then the law is being broken. That's the simple truth. So when these people call and are rude, or hang up then they don't deserve our patience in return. I do not nor will I ever be nice to any company (or person) that cold calls me trying to sell me something. If I wanted insurance quotes, I'd call the insurance agency. It's just as bad as teh people who leave flyers and junk on your door right next to your "no soliciting" signs...

I keep getting calls too.  What I don't get about all of this is what could possibly be the benefit to them calling people constantly and then just hanging up.  I would get it if they were actually trying to sell something.  I feel like this is some kind of reverse hacking scam or phone scam that is somehow going to end up costing us in one way or another.

Got a call from this number today. The person on the other end stayed silent and refused to speak. I called the 1-800 number mentioned earlier in this thread and asked to removed from their call list; hopefully it works. My number has been listed with the do not call registry since 2007, so I should not have received the call in the first place... its obvious that they are not honoring the registry.
