This is Berkshire Capital Partners, BCP Tax, Berkshire Tax Resolution Group, they go by all kinds of names. I went to the trouble to research all these types of companies. Names, addresses, google research, BBB research, and in some cases supreme court research. Thousands of people hire these companies every month. I tried to be as impartial as I could, ?just the facts.? Some of them have multiple locations, and some of them have multiple names in the same location. 14 Linked reviews for all the companies are at the bottom of the article.

Just got a call from this number, a J Brooks from Quantum Finance asked is this XYZ company? (which it is) Then said she needed to speak with the owner about 9/16/08 state taxes. (ahem, I am the owner!! :) so I scribbled the message down. I know full well my state taxes are paid and my accountants would have long ago called me if there was any problem so I simply googled the number and here I am. It's a total fishy scam. I'm not saying there isn't a legi Quantum Financial out there (there is --I looked on google) but this is not them.

Just got a call from an idiot who said he faxed me yesterday (he didnt) and that we had talked (we didn't) and I had promised to contact the county tax assessor’s office! First of all, we’ve never talked; second of all, I don’t use a fax. These guys are spineless con artists. Not sure what they are up to, but it can’t be good. They need to work on their lines and delivery though because this guy was flat out stupid.

Company rep called, Brian James, claiming he was with the IRS Follow Up dept. and we needed to give him a call back. Such a ridiculous lie since we have NO problems with the IRS. I did call the company to ask them to not call and the girl that answered the phone was very nice, took my information, verifiied what number she was calling from her cpu system and who it was that was calling and said that she'd remove us. We'll see.

I received a call from Quantum Financial Solutions regarding an issue that has been resolved. When I told him I was not interested he replied, "I know you're not interesting"... :~/
...and I'm pretty sure Jack and Diane (comments above) have some association with QFS...

This company is a major scam, we got a call from "John" letting us know that we owed $26,000 in taxes.
At first we got really concerned, but after speaking with our accountant, and making sure everything was alright, we realized this was scam in the making.
John, called us for two days in a row insisting that we were in trouble, and that our accountant knew nothing, and insisted in fixing our IRS problems by setting up payments of $300 a month to pay our debt. After we told him no thanks, and that we were not interested in their services, the caller insisted once more, and started asking us if we were xyz company, in 1111 address, when we answered no, he hung up abruptly.

quantum is a scam!!!!....they called me too. I have had an issue with back taxed before, but they have been completly resolved. The caller on the line was extremely rude and even cursed at me, obviously this is not a real business, or on with ethics or standards. To all you morons who are defending this company it is easy to see that you are employed by this company. All the info they had was my name and barely had that right. Someone should shut done this telemarketing company, scam. The company might actually get some people to fall for their scam if they were nicer on the phone, instead of idiots who are probabbly fellons or dead beat dads, to sit with a ear piece in a call center.

In response to "Jack" above who wants you to review their record with the "BBB" PLEASE DP SO AND FIND THE FOLLOWING CURRENTLY LISTED THERE. YES THEY DO HAVE A RATING WITH THE "BBB" AND THAT RATING IS A "B-" AND HAVE HAD NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS LODGED AGAINST THEM IN THE FEW YEARS THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS. FAR MORE THAN ONE WOULD FIND TYPICAL FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY. I OWN A FEW COMPANIES OF MY OWN AND AM VERY AWARE OF THE TAX STATUS OF EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM AND HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE I.R.S. AND TO TRY AND SCARE ME INTO ANYTHING INVOLVING THE I.R.S. IS ABSURD! WHEN I DO HAVE A QUESTION FOR THEM ABOUT MY COMPANIES IF MY ACCOUNTANT CAN NOT ANSWER IT WE SIMPLY CALL THE I.R.S. AND FIND OUR ANSWER. TRY TO INTIMIDATE ME AND I HAVE NO REASON TO BE AFRAID THEREFORE MY ONLY CONCERN WOULD BE TO THE ETHICAL BUSINESS PRINCIPLES BY WHICH THIS COMPANY "QUANTUM FINANCIAL" ADHERES AND STRONGLY CAUTION ANYONE FROM DOING ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS WITH SUCH A FIRM!!!
TO YOU DEAR "JACK" I STRONGLY ADVISING ANYONE TO LOOK THIS COMAPNY UP FOR THEIR BETTER BUSINEES RATING IN THE FUTURE. BY THE WAY TRY ATTENDING NIGHT SCHOOL FOR ENGLISH SINCE THEY HAVE SEVERAL CLASSES IN COMMUNICATIONS WHICH SHOULD BE OF INTEREST TO YOU AND YOU SPELLING.

all of these comments above are CRAP!!!!! Quantum Financial Solutions is a real company that does great work for real people who owe back taxes. Look them up with the better business bureau and see there report there. These people above were probably ex-employees who couldn't cut it and were fired for one reason or another. So to all of these people above this comment......GET A LIFE!!!

Okay, Quantum Financial may be an actual company, but that doesn't mean they operate under legal nor ethical guidelines.
First you should know that I am a business professional, and I always answer my cell calls by announcing my first and last names as many of my clients use that to call me direct as opposed to using my office number. What this means is that the caller now has my name.
I just got off the phone with one of their people and this is my experience.
ME: This is Gary +myLastName
QFS: Hello Mr. myLastName, I am calling about your deliquent taxes to the IRS.
ME: Excuse Me? (While thinking "WHAT THE HELL do you mean?"
QFS: Yes sir, we are showing that you owe back taxes to the IRS.
ME: Who are you trying to reach?
QFS: Gary myLastName. That is you, isn't it?
ME: You know my name, who am I speaking with?
QFS: I am calling from Quantum Financial Services
ME: And you're telling me I owe the IRS back taxes?
QFS: Yes sir.
ME: That's news to me. What address do you show for me?
(REMEMBER THEY CALLED MY CELL PHONE, so the address
is not available publicly.)
QFS: (after a long silent pause).. "You are Gary myLastName, Right?"
(The caller skipped answering my question by answering the
question with a question. A telemarketing control technique.
By now it is obvious she is reading from a script.
I waited for her to answer, but she was trained well enough
to know to maintain silence until I answered...wait, wait.)
After a few moments of silence...
ME: That depends, how did you obtain my cell phone number?
QFS: Your number is on our list.
ME: Is my middle initial on your list?
QFS: No sir.
(So they don't have my address and they don't know my middle initial?)
ME: I see, and what kind of business is QUANTUM FINANCIAL?
QFS: We deal with deliqent IRS taxes.
ME: Are you calling on behalf of the IRS?
QFS: No sir, you name came up on our list.
Okay I could give you the entire conversation, but I think you get the picture.
1) The QFS Caller was READING A SCRIPT and trying to play on
the anticipated fear of the IRS...
2) The QFS Caller had little more information on me than my
CELL Number and my name. (A probing call could have been
made days/weeks or months ago... When a call goes to
voicemail they record the number and if you name is on voicemail
they record that and put both in their database for later use.
Any way their tactics simply didn't work on me because I KNEW beyond question the status of my taxes with the IRS. Since there is no back debt there was no FEAR. Had I been someone with a tax debt the ploy might have worked. Her goal was to open me up and to get me to give her more information. Was the purpose of her call legit? Or was she trying to STEAL my personal inforation?
Think about this for a moment...
An individual can have a deliquent tax debt with the IRS and still have money... If that individual were SCAMMED out of personal information such as a SSN and had their identity stolen along with money and credit info....
DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD CALL THE AUTHORITIES TO REPORT THE THIEFT?
Hi this is Mr. XYZ, I am calling to report that I was scammed by someone who called about my deliquent IRS Tax Bill...
If the IRS has not already caught up with them on their deliquent taxes, it is most likely they will be too afraid to report the scam becasue they are too afraid of the IRS.
That makes them the PERFECT Target....
And if you're thinking...
Tough luck, they didn't pay thier taxes who cares if they get screwed, you need to remember:
There are also some very innocent people who may not have an IRS deliquency. People who are only guilty of being too trusting, or simply who simply Fear the IRS enough to give up personal info.
NO, I don't TRUST QFS...
NO, I don't like thier QESTIONABLE TACTICS

Caller was very rude. First had placed an unsolicited call to my client teling them they had IRS tax lien placed against them. The client forwarded them to me, thinking they were legitimate. Upon receiving the call I immediately told them we were not interested, and they said "How can you say you are not interested when you don't even know why we are calling?". They then said they were working with my client in regards to a tax lien. I asked them if they had called the client or the client called them. I could tell there was something illegitimate about them. They said they client called them, then when I said I was going to have to confirm this with the client, they said that they had called the client. The they proceeded to tell me that I was obviously not doing a good job handling this and that they were going to advise my client that I was doing a bad job. I then hung up on them. They immediately began calling again and again. They were very unprofessional and very rude.
