by now we all recognize the number....don't answer it ! I repeat....don't answer it ! after the 4th call, I turn my phone off for a while...hopefully they'll take a hint after a while. they know who they are dialing are NOT from MO as they have to dial area codes then our numbers...

It's a SCAM and there's a sucker born every minute. IGNORE THEM AFTER THEY'LL GET TIRED AFTER A WHILE.

This is a "Phishing Survey" which gathers information about you and your family and sells it to other scammers.  

I recieve calls from this number and I am on the do not call registry and sometimes I will answer and just lay the phone down on the counter, after a while they will give up and hang up!!

Stop calling my cell! It's sickening that they phone at all hours -when you call number back it is a survey .this phone number is from nuisance callers .

I'm on the DNC list and have been for years. I don't understand why I keep receiving so many unsolicited calls.

I don't care if the caller's purpose is legit, if they refuse to identify themselves on caller ID and won't leave a message they are automatically a scammer in my book and should be treated as such.

They are a survey company, so they have a legal right to call you, regardless of your being registered with the donotcall registry. The way to get this type of call to stop is to answer the call, interrupt the caller and tell them "I would like to be removed from your internal call list." They are then legally bound to stop calling you.

This number belongs to and is dialed by Luce Research http://www.luceresearch.com/ They are relentless. Regardless of what the survey is about, it's annoying. The Do No Call List doesn't bar survey companies, political campaigns, charities, etc, so this company isn't violating any laws. Maybe try answering the call and then provide totally bogus input. That'll mess up the validity of the survey results. Good luck.

Just received a call from this number today on my cell. I don't know a soul in Denver (where the call is from). I never pick up unless I know who's calling.

Left no message. Just another annoying scam phishing for personal information.

We have been called by this number numerous times in the past several days.  I called the number, and the recording stated that the company making the calls is Luce Research.  I left a message with our telephone number, stating that we do not wish to participate in any surveys, and requesting that our number be removed from their data bank.  Just to make sure, I've added this number to our call rejection list.  I realize everyone has to make a living somehow, and a "once in a while" survey may not constitute harassment.  These constant calls, however, cross the line.  This company needs to be fined.

Talked to the responsible party calling my #.  they admit using robot dialers, so the #s they call were not part of a list provided to them.  In additionm, Caine (Kane?) F, told me that the govenor gave them special right to call people.  After my many questions, Caine got his supervisor on the phone who told me the same BS story.  Then wanted to ask me questions about Boeing.  He did say he was adding my # to their do not call list.

LUCE Reserach is the companty they claimed to work for, but would NOT give me their #.  The # is from caller ID.

This is one of ten such phone calls I received just this month so far - I am next going to report all to DNC web site (not that it does much good) - between this and e-mail scams this is getting to be just ridiculous and a PIA.  Sometimes it is two or three times in a week just to find out if you are home.

Most likely this is just another slimy, scummy, grimy, lowdown, rotten, stupid, idiotic, retarded, effed up teleswine.

Dont pick up, dont answer, and definetly dont call back. Just ignore. Scammers use tactics like surveys to phish for personal information.

Plus, do you really feel that a telephone survey is actually being used? C'mon.

Survey callers may call you, but if you request to be taken off the list, THEY MUST COMPLY. Also, survey callers are NOT supposed to be calling cell phone numbers or businesses. That's against the law. Survey callers ARE SUPPOSE TO DISPLAY ADEQUATE CALLER ID AND COMPANY INFO ONCE RECIEVER PICKS UP THE PHONE. You are not to be guessing on who is calling. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW. Finally, survey callers are not to be using robo calls to do surveys.

It appears to be phishing for identities and or live numbers. If the call is out of area, wierd caller ID, or basically unsuspecting, DO NOT ANSWER.

Do you really feel that a survey is actually beneficial? not one bit. Telemarketing scams are on the rise.

I have a Contact on my iPhone called SPAM. It has a distinctive ring. As in silence. Just added this one to that very important contact. 10 calls from it in 4 days.

They call between 9:00 Am till 9:30 Pm, they don't give up, we hit answer wait a second & disconnect.  The numbers we don't recognize we don't Answer, but this one won't stop, most of the others quit fairly quickly.  We were running errands today (Saturday) just before we left, they called I took the phone off the hook & left it face down on the bed (you could not hear that annoying beeping that way) & we left it that way all day, till early evening, so they could not get through!  That is our plan for Sunday should they call again, anyone who needs us will try one of our cell phones & we will see their number & answer.  I will win this game one way or another, they are rude, obnoxious people & will get no time from us!!  I will contact the FCC if necessary, I will contact my Congressman, I will send letters, emails, anything I think will help, I will pass on any help I find to everyone who wants to hear!!  If we all do not answer, they will hopefully fold up shop & stop!  That is my GOAL!!!

They called me a bit ago. My only advice is not to answer calls from numbers you don't recognize. If you answer, this confirms a live person and potential victim. The Gov't DNC List is useless now. These phone scammers 'spoof' numbers or call from countries that don't support our laws. I look the numbers up online to see what people are saying, then add them to my contacts as SCAM. When they call back, I know exactly who it is. The less you answer these calls the less frequent you will receive them.

Unfortunately the DNC list is out of date. And the Gov't doesn't seem to have anything to stop them at this time. I have reported these types of calls for 2 years or more. And they still call.  These scammers sometimes call from countries that don't have to follow the our DNC guidelines. Others 'spoof' numbers (look it up) to make it look like they are calling from a real number/business. But often times, if you call them back the line will just ring w/no recording.

I would not advise anyone to give anyone their number, and don't press any keys to have them take you off their list. They won't. And now they also know they have a live person and a potential victim.

I only have a cell phone. I very rarely answer any numbers I don't recognize... esp if they are out of my area code. (which most are) I then look up the number online and see what others are saying. If it is a scammer number then I save it to my contacts as SCAM. That way when they call back, I at least know to ignore. I have over 100 of them on my list so far. They seemed to have slowed down a bit from the usual several weekly calls to maybe 1 a week. But today, I made the mistake of answering a call from my area code. They said something about painting (or?)... and I hung up. An hour later and I get a call from this number.

I'm telling ya, if you don't recognize them, don't answer until you can look them up.  And don't engage them. It just makes them angry and they will call more to spite you!

lol they called me at 8pm on a sunday while i watching the football game and im only 17. i get calls from these f****rs around 3 times a day, and i live in minnesota

Caller ID showed Survey Center caller asked to speak with a former
employee who had nothing to do with Marketing when I asked who she was
with she said Luce, when I asked what her company did, she said they did
research and I told her our company policy prohibits us from answering
survey questions over the phone

This number for the past 2 WEEKS! has been calling 5 times a day. They start calling at 10 am (and on days I don't have work I sleep very late and would like to actually sleep) stops around 2 then starts again at dinner time.

If you have Optimum.........just add the phone # to the blocked numbers list. I have over 10 numbers on the list and it works.
