I received two calls so far. First time I hung up, second time I didn't answer (was busy). Researched it a bit further.

It's a non-profit (http://www.coloradohealthinstitute.org/). I'd like to point out to a previous person commenting on this thread that this is not the Governor "wasting millions of tax payer money" on "information grabbing surveys". The CHI seems to be an independent organisation.

I looked at their health reports from the last few years. The always conduct surveys of around ten thousand residents between the months of April and July and produce a report. So this ties in with the time of month they are calling now for the new survey.

I find the information they collect very valuable and next time they call, if I have time, I will answer their questions. I like the idea of a non-partisan independent group collecting FACTS which our lovely elected officials can use to bring forward health care related policy changes.

Called on my cell phone at 8:30 P.M. on 01-21-14, asking for Gabriella, no one by that name has ever had this number. Why would someone from a Government office call at 8:30 P.M.?  I ask the lady that called to please make a note that their was no Gabriella at this number.

Same here, very courteous, said I could refuse to answer at anytime.

Indeed this is a health survey by the Colorado Department of Health.  When contacted in mid-December, we informed the caller, that we did not care to take part in their survey.  End of discussion-at least that is what we thought. From mid-December 2013 to mid Jan 2014, this department surveyor has called us up to four times a day, every day of the week, anywhere from 9 am in the morning to 8 p.m. on a Sunday night.  This is extremely rude.  We put the number in our "Caller ID" Block List.

I answered this call once, and asked him who he was..  He said he was taking a survey for the Colorado Department of Public Health. I told him that this was my family personal cell phone and we had all our phones on the no call. I asked him how he got this private cell phone number. He said they had software.  I guessed that they just randomly run numbers on a computer, and no bother to run them against the National no call list. I just hung up on him, and I would think that would be sufficient. However, since this call I have 6 more unanswered calls on my cell phone. This is ridiculous. If they have a random software, why don't they just move on. I don't participate in surveys anyway. What is with the Public Health department - harassing people on the private cell phones now. Bad enough when all they had was the house phone.
Surveys calls are par with telemarketing in my book, and these calls should be banned!!!!!!!! Stop calling people that don't care to participate in your surveys. Cell phones go everywhere, at the office, in my meetings, etc. You are just a nuisance!!!

Please remove my cell phone number from your random calling list. Your repeated calls are considered harassment. I pay for call minutes and if I mistakenly answer your calls again, it will cost me. I don't consider your repeated calls a service, even if I were a CO resident. I don't want calls from my state's Dept. of Health, either. I don't answer personal questions on the phone with strangers.

I answered my cell phone without looking at the caller ID on the weekend. I said I am not a CO resident and do not want to do surveys. Then she gave my number to someone else who called on Monday morning and wanted to notify the Dept of Health in my state. I said I do not want to do surveys and do not want anyone calling my cell phone agaom/ She ignored me and began asking questions.

Call repeatedly -- no message left -- reading notes above someone claims it is a Survey by COLORADO HEALTH DEPT. etc -- Also state they cannot stop calls because it is a RANDOM caller --  Gee GOV. HICKEE -- Guess I cannot spell your name correctly because I use a RANDOM speller !! Just think of all the TAXPAYER MONEY being wasted on this bunch of BULL CRAP !! Randome equals ROBO calls which have been outlawed - except of course for "so called" SURVEYS !!  Hey GUV. Hiccouch -- are you going to personnally pay for all those people who have fallen prey to IDENTITY THEFT in COLORADO !!!! AS you well know, or personally are part of the ring that makes COLORADO NUMBER 1 for Identity Theft !!! I have received several phone calls on my cell phone from someone asking personal health questions. This is very invasive and annoying. I receive these calls at work, during meetings, and there is no good time to receive a call that is not welcome.

When I ask to take me off the list, I'm told they can't since it's randomly chosen.
I am on the do not call list for a reason.
They should not be allowed to call me. I've never used their services.

Any legitimate organization would not continue to harass folks and they would respect the phone numbers of those on the no call list.  It doesn't matter whether you're selling an item or not.  If someone is on the no call list, they don't want to be bothered with ANY garbage calls.  Yes, that includes so-called random surveys.  PS..the quality of life in Colorado has ended up in the toliet bowl.  That's my anwer.  Consider yourself blocked.

My elder mother informed me that, some one from this number 303-692-2190 has been calling her trying to obtain her medical information over the telephone.  She subsequently, informed this individual that, she would not disclose her medical information to a stranger.  However, the person was a bit rude to her.  As she informed me of this practice, I immediately contacted the number, and no one who want to speak to me unless, I was an elder person at the my mother's residence. Nonetheless, I requested that my mother's telephone number be removed from their contact list, otherwise a legal action will be taken.

They call on my personal cell phone which I use for family emergencies only.  They also call when I'm at work.  I would prefer that they use an online survey. Obviously they do not want to collect any substantive demographic information since they use random dialing.

I recall receiving a letter from the state saying i would be contacted for a health insurance survey by the State of Colorado.  Unfortunately, I don't tend to answer my phone and no message is left.  I suspect it really is legit, though (as a real survey, for the state, I mean)

I too received a call from this number.  I told the woman obviously reading a script that I wasn't interested and hung up.  They called back a few seconds later and I didn't answer.  No message was left.  That isn't random.

When I said I did not want to participate and started to hang up, they said "this is important information."  I was wondering who it's important to. I do not feel comfortable giving information to some random person on the phone. If it's legitimate, shouldn't people be permitted to participate voluntarily and online or through the mail if they choose to?

This IS the State of Colordo Health Dept. Survey Dept. They are taking a random medical survey. I called this number back and the representative I talked to said they could not take me off the calling list because it was a "random" dialing. But I am getting the call daily which is being blocked by my Panasonic phone. I persisted and told him I did NOT want to take the survey and to take me off the list. He finally conceded and looked up my number and said he took me off their call list. 11-8-2011. BE forceful and demand they will take you off.

They started calling 2-13-11, they called every other day and never leave messages. Spoke to them 2-23 and told them not to call again.

The began calling in December.  I answered and they said I had been randomly selected to participate in a survey.  The first question they asked (which I don't recall now) seemed so invasive that my gut went on high alert.  I hung up.  They continued calling all day, everyday, morning, noon, night.  I didn't answer it again.  They seem to have finally given up.

The link Curtis provided reflects a survey for parents of children and a health survey.  I have no kids.  This seemed so invasive to me.  They didn't even ask if I had kids.

They leave no messages and call on the weekends

Called numerous times, never left messages when machine picked up.  Other times when I answered, wanted to speak to "the oldest female resident" - asked if I was that person, and wouldn't give any other information when I said no.  Just wanted to know when that person would be available.  I live with my elderly mother and don't feel comfortable letting them speak with her as she is not well and easily confused and may give information that could lead to identify theft.  The caller says they are from the Colordado Department of Health?
