These reps are pigs.... they called my office looking to speak to the owner I questioned them regarding their company and what they wanted and after beating around the bush told me for investments, exactly the calls my boss does not want, I told him I would take his number and that my boss does not take investment cold calls and if he's interested he'll return the call.  He made a disgusting sexual remark on the phone to me and hung up!  Really.... Does he think if when they call again they'll get put through?  Good luck a$$h@!e!!!

You can mark them so you'll know they're not someone you want to talk to by saving their number with a special code attached. Then you'll be told who they are when they call.

Apparently this company does *not* obey DNC laws.. and according to the posts above, they also don't remove peoples numbers when asked to either as they should.  They should report them to the DNC, FCC and FTC..   Maybe then they'd get the picture what DNC means!

Just so you know, Swan Energy is not a scam. You people posting this obviously have no idea how joint venture investment oil and gas wells are done. No I do not work for them, but I do know people that have invested. First off, drilling for oil and gas is not a 100% sure bet, and when you do hit oil , it takes time to get all the investment paid back and start getting royalties. There are other investors, drilling and production costs, etc.... Many, many other people are involved! That's why they want to know how much your worth, they won't take money from people that can't afford it.

I just got the package from Swan on 7-10-1012, and the lawsuit descirbes exactly how they have cold called me.  they pressured me to find out how much cash, and liquid investments I have to know if I have enough money available for them to not waiste their time on me.  the package has no details about past investment performance.  this is a scam.

You're right  she was driving and it was on vbtiare  and I could have ignored both calls.There was a critical call that I was waiting on today  but it could have gone to voice mail too.I do use voice mail when I am working with clients  I wear a headset and I don't presently have a car and I don't drive often when I have access to one so it's not a crisis point. Never a harm in not answering  I never turn it off though  just to vbtiare.

Why does Google say my IP address is soomene else's in the Google Phone Book?When I put my IP address in the Google search box, up pops up the Google Phone book at the top of the page listing soomene else's name, address, and phone number?  What a creepy feeling this gives me! This person is on the other end of the continent from me.  I then looked up this person's name  in Google Search and up came a technical page with ta message from this person explaining about capturing an IP address of a visitor.  OK   so why does Google think my IP address is this other persons?  It worries me.

You are definitely right about this being Swan Energy cold calling people trying to raise money for oil projects.  They have been sued in their own state (Colorado) only 2 years ago, and they are back in business doing exactly the same thing with the same scripts as before.

I let them send me their information packet and talked to them long enough on the phone to verify that it is exactly the same scam.  One investor in the lawsuit claimed to have invested $300,000 and received approximately $5000 in payments total.

Don't waste your money on this crap - the "house" wins everything in this rigged game.  Want to know if they are legit?   Just call your state attorney general's office and see if they are licensed to sell securities.   If not, then it's a scam.

Most of these slick guys will tell you that they're doing a "private" offering and that a "private" offering doesn't have to be registered.  This is BS.  


If you choose to do business with an unregistered company - you're nuts.   They'll run and you'll have NO way to get them.  By being registered with your state, the Attorney General will have their corporate info, their financial info and all of the contact info on file.   This is a public record that you can use to check up on the company.  Without it all you have is thin air at best.

I've been getting calls from Swan Energy Inc. and SEI for months now. They always ask for my husband and when I say he's not there they hang up. Last week my husband got the call and told them not to call again, and they are still calling. We are on a do not call list - both our cell and home phone. The numbers in include 303-951-8210 as well as other numbers that appear to be from the same block of numbers.

I think it is Swan Energy, Inc. trying to sell you a piece of an oil/gas drilling project.
It is probably a scam of some sort as they never leave a message if you don't answer the telephone and this industry is noted for such actions.
