Like they said above, same old crooks as "Card Services", but spoofing a real Visa number. I think I've found something that seems to give them some trouble. You might try it. The responses from the actual persons to whom I have been connected have been revealing. These crooks hire a lot of people, most of whom do not stay when they realize what is going on. From news reports, it is common for the crook bosses to tell the new hires that their pay checks for the first week or two must be held for accounting reasons, get a couple of weeks of work out of them, then disappear or just refuse to pay. When I am connected to "Angie", as soon in the conversation as possible I say "You know those people aren't going to pay you, don't you? That's why they told you that they had to hold back your first checks, and why they tell you to lie about where you actually are. They are crooks, and they are trying to use you as long as they can for nothing and before you catch on". Many times, in the middle of this, the supervising crooks terminate the conversation, if they are eavesdropping. However, I have had several dead silences, followed by "Really?" or "D-----, that explains it". I've even been thanked! You will also get the co-conspiritor "Angie" who drops all pretenses and becomes personally abusive to you, admitting that they knew what they were up to all the time. In any event, if you can run off their employees by educating them, you have done the employees, yourself, and the public a service. Try it, it feels good.

People need to be aware that this number does belong to VISA.  If you call it back you do get a customer rep from VISA.  According to them, they do not call customers using this number.  They do not call out.

What's happening is that someone is running a scam.  They use a computer to dial, they spoof the CallerId to display a real phone number belonging to VISA.  If you make a complaint about the number to the FTC, they will trace the number back to VISA.

If you don't might the annoying calls, then ignore the calls, don't pick up.  They will probably continue to call.

If you do pick, don't press any numbers.  If you press 3 0r 9 or whatever number they tell you to, they know it's a live number and they will continue calling, this doesn't stop them.

If you do pick, after you hang up dial *57 to request a trace.  Then you can contact you phone company and tell them the date and time of the call and that you put a trace on it.  They will give you the actual phone number that call.

The number displayed in Caller Id is not the number that dialed you. The information is data given to the phone company to display.  Someone can call you on a phone number and tell the CallerID to display that they are President Obama and called from 123456789 if they want to.

If you trace the call, make a Complaint to the FTC and include all the information.  Good info to give them is the date and time you received the call, what is displayed on CallerId, what the real number is if were able to place a trace on it, if the call was a prerecorded message and anything else you may know.

The only way to stop the calls is to give the info to the FTC so they can track down the people who are really making the call.

These calls are not only annoying they are illegal.

Yes...it is a NEW number for credit card services or one of  their sister accounts.....
The recording starts: Hello, since you have been on time making payments to your credit card account, we have a great offer for you. Press nine to speak to a representative......

So, I press (9) and when they answered, i proceeded to push the phone key pad in their ear.....it took about a minute before they finally hung up. Then I blocked the number.

This is the 22nd number I have blocked so far...."on my cell phone". And, yes i have reported everyone of them and nothing is done....!!!!!!

I wish anyone who works for this/these company(s) the bad luck of pissing the bed at night until they quit their job. :)

303-967-1096, VisaAssist, called me this afternoon on my cellphone.  How they got my number I have no idea.  I do not have a VISA or a Mastercard Merchant account of any type nor do I have a Visa debit card or credit card.  I didn't recognize the number and did not answer.  I have also recieved calls on my home number, both of which are on the National Do Not Call list, and each time they did not leave a message.
