They called my cell too, its legal for them to call our cell phones because they are a Non-Profit.  I really think this could be a positive thing judging from all the good responses.  Maybe we should all answer and see if we can actually clean up entertainment!!

Got a call from this number today.  The gentleman was very polite, so I agreed to listen to his presentation. Boy am I glad I did...they wanted to send me two free films to preview, all I have to do is give my feedback on the films. It is a company called "Kids First" and they are really trying to do something good.  How refreshing!!

Obviously all of the posts here about this number were made by the same person. "Oh, I thought it was illegal... I'm so glad I answered my phone... blah blah blah". And the fact that they were all posted on the same day?? Give me a break.

This number has been calling me and then I found out that they have been calling other people in the area. However,  when we answer they hang up right away. So I called the number back and there is no answering machine. Then, I started to get creeped out so I went to white pages, the number belongs to somebody in Denver, Colorado. I researched this Kids First org and they are located out of Santa Fe, New Mexico and do not use this phone number. Plus I went on to look at other websites like this one, and there are the exact same comments, same days, same names on them as well. Something is not right here. And it looks as if the same person is leaving these comments... so just watch out.

I have to agree with suspicious. I didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message. I don't know which of my numbers they called(I have two on my cell phone) but either way, it's weird. I've seen comments saying it's Kids First or Smart Television Alliance. KF, as noted, is based out of Santa Fe and STA is out of Washington, DC. Likewise, the comment pages all have the same comments. Someone should call Kids First and either find out of they do call out of Denver, CO and if not, alert them to the fact that someone is misrepresenting themselves as Kids First so legal action can be taken.

I got a call from this number, answered and the gentleman was extremely nice.  Agreed to the films although I am a bit leary.  The only info required was info you can get off the internet/phonebook.

My wife and I received and reviewed the movies, "Walking Through Egypt and The Bellflower Bunnies Vol 1".  I found these films to be excellant in their topic of taking responsibility for yourself and others.  The acting in Walking Through Egypt was the best I have seen in quite awhile.  I would reccomend these films to anyone seeking a good family film that is free of crude language that seems to be common today.

I find it very strange that because there is not any "negative" feedback on the blogs, people automatically assume that this is a scam, or that it's a company up to no good.  I got the call today as well...they were very polite, didn't ask for a credit card, or any other private info for that matter.  I am going to try out these "FREE FILMS" and see, I hope that I have a good experience like others on this thread.

got a call from this number on my cell phone... non-profit or not, People calling my cell that I didn't give the number too really makes me mad...

This company is calling all numbers in my area.  At least that's what they said.  Because it's a non-profit they are allowed to call our cell phones.  The guy was nice and I appreciate that they are doing something good.

It's sad that becuase they called our cell phones they are automatically some kind of scam artists.  I did tell them to send me the films. We'll see!

Calls over and over. Something about "Kids Farts".

I got a call from this number a while back, I did agree to recieve the free films and as it turns out they are really good.  They dont have any bad language or nudity, like you normally see in movies today.  Its a company called Kids First.  All I had to do was watch the movies and then give my feedback. I hate these forums because people use it as a place to bash good reputable companies!

Okay...seems wierd that they would call my cell phone, but apparently they are sending me two free films.

What I like most are exclamation points!! When you use them, you can make a difference in everyone's lives! Does anyone know if the DVDs star any funny actors like Sinbad or that one dude from the Police Academy movies who made all those noises? Brrrrr! Vroom! Vrooooom! Wonk! Bloop! Pht-phht-ppht!!!

I received a call from them tonight.  Every site I've gone to has the exact same comments word for word...it just doesn't add up.  Non profit or not I don't want them calling my cell.  I still have to pay for the minutes and I don't appreciate someone I don't know using my minutes.  I signed up for the do not call list for a reason...I don't want you to peddle anything to me.  If I want something or am in need of something I'll call you...you don't need to call me and tell me what I'm missing out on.

I got this call today - Very nice guy - but it almost seemed like a computer....it was kind of weird, but looking up all this stuff it seems legit. I am 21 and my husband is 25 w/ no kids, so they said they would send us a movie for our age range because its not only for kids, its for adults too. Which is good beause the stuff they have in movies for adults is getting to be too risque.

Oh yeah - I asked how they got the numkber - he said they were random dialing to get a true random selection for the feedback

yeah real polite my a**. they call and ask for you, if you arent available they say they will call back and hang up on you. total B.S.

POS - Keep calling asking for someone who does not live here - Called themselves the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.  Obviously a lie, and all the posts above mine saying KUDOS are crap and not real.

Boy, these comments sure sound as if they were put there by the company making the calls.  WAY TOO complimentary!

If these calls are random, then they are not abiding by Federal Do Not Call registry laws.  My number is on that list, and if you are getting calls from them and your number is on that list, they are in violation of Federal Law and subject to legal action.

Called and said it was Kids 1st and wanted to send 2 free movies. What they’re doing sounded interesting but wanted to know how they got my number and they said they’re just calling randomly. Told them to hold so I could look them up and they are legit. I got 2 movies for free and just had to give my input on them.

Got a call from "Kids First" on my cell phone...thought this was illegal, but after looking into it further, it appears that because it's a "Non-Profit" it's perfectly legal for them to call our cell phones.  Fortunatley the guy I spoke with was really nice.

I took this call two weeks ago, and agreed to the films.  They were so perfect for my 2 and 5 year old.  They were actually CLEAN!!!  Can you imagine that??? They called me today for tmy opinions and happily gave it.  Kudos to Kids First!
