They somehow got a hold of my comcast phone number which I have never used anywhere cause I don't have a phone hooked up to it, they have been calling that number for about two years, somehow got a hold of my cell number.  I'm gonna block the two numbers i think, i can block individual numbers on sprint.

Second call received from this "company" except this time called from 252-375-3449, same "affidavit number" and all.  Listed as a wireless call from Greenville, NC. Bad luck for them, I do have access to an attorney, so I don't need their good luck!

ditto....they called my elderly parents saying I had 24 hrs to get in touch with them in W Virginia and had a case #.  I called our county court, said I had no prob in county or state, then called military police and they said I had no prob with them or NCIS or FBI.  I reported it to FBI

Rude, threatening phone calls.   No people on line. Dead line on call back.
Weird, happened right after my email and website was hacked. How do I make them stop.
Said a warrant was out on me. Etc.   Call my attorney... Etc... And have a nice day

I got the same message from original post from phone number 304-400-6117 and then a few days later they called again with phone number 252-375-3449  Just wanted to post the second phone number because I googled it and found nothing.

Got a phone call 3/18/13 Stating that I was being sued and to call them within 48hrs regarding Malpractice case pending. I chose to ignore as I find this highly unusual to be informed by robocall. I will wait to recieve certified letter instead if this indeed is for real. Looks like this is a scam.

Debt collector.  They do a basic search for names then contact everyone with that name looking for people with delinquent accounts they have purchased.  Should not be allowed to harass people like this.  I am all for collecting bad debts, but go after the right people.

THE MESSAGE FROM THESE PEOPLE IS A SCAM.  I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND TOLD THEM THAT GOOGLED THEM AND THEY WERE A SCAM. AS SOON AS THE GAL HEARD THE WORD SCAM SHE HUNG UP ON ME. Left a message stating that I was a respondent in a case and had 25 to 48 hours to respond. Something about a restraining order or bank account seizure. Even have me a case number to reference. When I called had 3 choices, bank seizures, restraining orders or settlement. My choice was 2nd and got busy signal every time. Probably for the best. When I first listened to the message, it was a digital recording of my first wife`s name, who I've been divorced from for more than 14 years.

I live in San Diego, California, and received an obviously fraudulent recorded call today (Monday 03/11/2013, 2:26 p.m. PT) from "Unknown Name," 304-400-6117. The exact wording of the recorded message follows. Note that the very first few words are what I believe to be Tagalog (I spelled it phonetically), which is spoken in the Philippines. I could be wrong about that. In any case, those words were probably not meant to be heard and were spoken by a female (synthesized?) voice. The second part (the majority) was spoken in an articulate female American voice.

"b?-?-br?-him-uh (emphasis on the br?). This is the civil investigations unit. We are contacting you in regards to a complaint being filed against you. Pursuant. The Claim and affidavit number J000-0000, where you have been named a respondent in a court action and must appear. There is a contact number on file which you must call: 304-400-6117. Please forward this information to your attorney. In that the 'order to show' cause contains a restraining order. You or your attorney will have 24 to 48 hours to oppose this matter. The claim and affidavit number once again is J000-0000 Call 304-400-6117. Thank you and good luck."

If anyone knows what language the first few words are, please comment here. Whoever is responsible for these types of calls needs to be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

My husband's ex mother in law got one of these calls and is saying my name was in the recorded  message. Does anyone else have this story or are there lies going around?

I got the exact same call today. It must be a scam.

I just received the same message from the same number. I live in TX. I am going to consider it a scam.

Below is a link to filings against this company already from the Better Business Bureau.  This is a bonafide scam.  I called the attorney general's office fromt the State of West Virginia as suggested by the BBB.  They were very helpful and I filed a complaint (its free).  This kind of stuff just burns me up!  Don't fall for it. It seems that if you have had a payday loan in the past, they get your phone numbers somehow through those systems.

Please file a complaint with the FTC and BBB.  Just google them and they will come right up.  We need to get them closed down.  In some cases, they are trying to collect on debt that is already paid and debt they don't own.

They called me today as well and left an electronic voice mail from an electronic "person." When i called back it went as it did for all the rest posting regarding this company. I asked "Are you attorneys?" And Derrick replied "We do work for attorneys." I asked "Do you have a website I can look at?" And he replied "Our clients know who we are so we don't have a website." Wow! Mafioso!! S.C.A.M.

I got a recorded message on my voicemail stating they were the "Civil Investigations Unit".  The message said there was a complaint filed against me.  They said it was a restraining order.  They provided a claim number and their call back number, which was the same number on my caller ID.  They told me to give the claim number to my attorney and I had 24 to 48 hours to oppose the matter.  When I called back, the message stated that I had reached the offices of "American Document Service".  I was told to press 1 if my assets had been frozen (or something like that) or 2 if I had received a message.  After I pressed 2, it just beeped.  I called back and tried pressing 1, but it did the same thing.  I'm going to the police department tomorrow to see if I have a restraining order against me (they won't tell me over the phone) and if I do not, I will ask the police how to proceed.

I got the same message, computerized stating the exact thing.  I don't know what this is about.

This number contacted me on my cell phone, my daughters cell phone and my mothers house. I called it and the message says they are American Document Service.  I believe this to be a scam and will handle it as such. I'm also reporting them to the BBB and the police.

I recieved the same phone call and it scared me too but this Mr. Hill said that I took a credit card out in 2009 with a bank and I never did any such thing so I asked him which credit card and what bank and he would not tell me he preceded to tell me that this company would be taking me to court and this is a civil matter and they would be suing me for the balance I owe them. I was livid to say the least but he would not give me any other information.

I recieved the same message and I spoke to a Mr. Hill. He told me that I took a credit card out with a bank back in 2009 but I told him I did no such thing. I wanted to know who it was but he would never give me that information and would change the subject. Just telling me that there is a civil suit pending if I do not take care of this balance then the company would be filing charges against me and I would have to go to court and possibly forced to pay $1200.00 to get this settled. I figured it had to be a scam so I checked the number and I have found all of these other messages as well. All that recieved the same phone call.

Rec'd multiple calls from 304-400-6117 with disturbing message re a claim & affidavit, order to show cause containing a restraining order, etc. etc. The message was directed to deceased member of household whose name is on property deed. Unable to contact anyone at the #, answered as "American Document Service" but all extensions are busy. Have rec'd messages several times over the last month.

I just received a call and my son comes running to me telling me "mom there is a person leaving a message about a restraining order." I am FUMING, re do the message get the # off of it and call back. First time I press 2 busy tone, 2nd time I get a guy, reports a name, not mine and then tells me "they may also go by this" they are talking about my Mother-in-Law! Now I am even more upset because I am worried about her. Call her, she has no idea what it is and what I am disturbed about is I am supposedly the reference she has put down. I know she would not do that, because if I can distinctly remember is she doesn't even know our home address because she always uses our cell, but he knew my name!!! I hate these type of calls and someone needs to stop them!

Just received a call from this number.  Unfortunately, they have all of our information.  I ran a credit report and nothing shows up owing HSBC a thing as they said we did.  I told them to go ahead and send papers as I will take that address and use it if something shows up or money is taken from any account or anything is added to credit report without our knowledge.  I WILL PRESS CHARGES AGAINST THESE KIND OF PEOPLE without thinking twice.  We work very hard for what we have and will NOT stand by and watch someone else ruin it because they are just too LAZY to work.

same scam they told me i have a restraining order, I owe then $1,600 hundred dollars, my account is going to be frozen and that I have to appear in court....this is in West virginia, I am in Puerto Rico.

they seem to be using the same # for months at a time. i've seen posts about this number from sept '12 to feb '13, so maybe they are just stupid.
