Getting 3calls per day, every day from same disconnected number: 305-370-1211

I too have been receiving calls from 305 370 1211 - the caller said they are College Assistants working with a company called Degree Mentor.   The have a website http://www.degreementor.com/ but neither the phone number nor the email address is valid.  

One of the legit colleges they "represent" is Kaplan University which is on a moving banner on their website.   If you continue receiving calls from this number, I recommend you call Kaplan University at 1-212-492-5800 (EST - New York City) and ask if they are affiliated with Degree Mentor.  If they confirm, suggest they may want to consider disassociating themselves from Degree Mentor, as they appear to be using suspicious tactics to gather personal information, which creates a poor perception of Kaplan's legitimacy.   Kaplan's website is:  http://www.kaplan.com/pages/default.aspx

I had the same thing from that number.. just dont pick it up at all... who knows.. might be connected to a foreign number and you might get charged from it.

This number 3053701211 keeps calling.  Three time on the first day and every time I answered they hung up.   Two time the next day and the same thing again.  Today they called me and a female voice says hello I'm not in a good mood because this number keeps calling me and hanging up.  So I tell this person to stop calling me because I'm tired of answering there phone call and them hanging up on my.  As she calls my an @$$hole and hangs up. Insted of understanding why a person would be agree and explaining why they are calling.  Just trying to figure out who she is and what she wants from me.

I got calls from this # too.  When I tried to return the call, it's disconnected!!!  I'm also on the DO NOT CALL list.  How are they getting my number!!!  I have a fraud alert on my name with the 3 credit reporting agencies too.  But that won't even stop this garbage!  Someone needs to invent a "zapper" for these kinds of calls.  When we pick up and there is no one there, we could hit the "zapper" button and it fries whatever computer is at the other end....  Maybe they would stop calling then...

This is a boiler room of different scammers, collection agencies (American Collection Systems) and the method to disguise the number makes folks think that they are really in the U.S.

The first caller spoke to me in Spanish and I told them I didn't speak Spanish. The next day another rep called in English looking for someone who had jumped bail - I told that I was an employer and if they would give me a bonafide number and I'd give them information - it was American Collection Systems.

When I told the person that if they ever called again, I would report them as they had violated many, many regs (time of call, release of information, calling what they thought was an employer), the rep cursed me out in Spanish - my fib - I do speak Spanish.

When they wouldn't stop calling and spewing, I got a whistle - which has stopped the calls- temporarily. Now the caller id reads "AMCOLSYSTEMS" - same rep - different scam.

Be very careful with this outfit...

Same here, no messages and etc!!  Also called back - stated # NOT in service!

this number calls me several times a day for two to three days in a row then I wont get a call from them again for days at a time.  they usually call every hour on the button.  When I answer, I get either a hang up or dead air.  when I try calling back, the operator says the number is not in service.

Hey if you are lucky like me you can add them to your block list on your phone. I have tmobile and just clicked on the number then hit my menu button and added it to my block list.  I don't want to have this number calling me like everyone on here

This number has called me 12 times today. At least once an hour. I refuse to answer and they never leave a voice mail. Getting SICK of this!

I keep getting a call from this number several times a day. when i answer they hang up. when I call back I get "I'm sorry but this number is out of service" they NEVER leave a message. I am getting so tired of this number calling. I want it to STOP!!!!! I am seriously thinking about answering the phone and saying " hello the number you have reached is no longer in service goodbye" I wonder if that will stop them!!!

These people keep calling and calling and calling!!!!  I don't know anyone from this area code, so I can only assume it's a scam from what I've read here.

I've been desperately looking for a job and the only way they could get this number is from when I apply to various places online.  Be careful out there!!!  Who know what theoretical potential employer is selling your info -- or if they even are a potential employer!!!  Jobs.com (and similar sites) my left foot!!!

I may stick to the old walk in and fill out an application type of jobs.  These phone calls are getting stupid and wasting the few minutes I can afford on my phone!  Preying on the poor and unfortunate unemployed should be a criminal offense!!!

Up-side:  no one would want my credit right now!  Ha!  Take that scammers!!!

They called me 5 times today and I picked up on the last one and it just hung up.

I get this message every 3 hours and they call 3 times in a row. The first two calls I answered, no one on the other end. Called the number back and it said it was disconnected. I get the calls everyday, 3 hours apart and the calls come in 3's.

Ths number keeps calling me and  am about so sck and tred of it like seriously they call me in class when i am trying 2 sleep and it is getting annoying!!!! They blew my phone up today!!!!

This number keeps calling me every day multiple times! starting from 7:30am it's freakin annoying! I'm thinking of reporting it to the police as harrashment! I answer and they don't say anything!

This number just called and when I answered it no one was there so I hung up.  Think they are fishing for live numbers

Two calls in two days.  Ignored the fisrt one and let it go to VM, no message.  Picked up today and caller immediately hung up.  I'm calling back and just getting a busy signal.

This number has been calling for past several days. Will not lv VM. When i do pick up no one there. A real bother!

I did not pick up the first 5 times.  Then I picked up and someone asked for me.  I asked them to stop calling me.  I picked up 3 more times and demanded they stop bothering me.  I went out, and when I returned my telephone showed 8 more times.

One more idea, as I've since read the person who called the phone company and was told they couldn't block a disconnected number.  I thought it might be a false recording that it was disconnect, but apparently they know their tech, which it what it takes to access bank accounts, etc., too.

Idea:  KEEP A LOUD WHISTLE BY YOUR PHONE FOR THEM.  Act swiftly.

My daughter was getting calls from this number on her cell.  I just showed her how to reject the number when they call.  Phone rejects the number automatically.  They maybe calling but they aren't getting any attention or causing any aggravation.  If you are getting these calls on your cell you may have the function.  Hope this helps some of you!

I must have just been added to their list.  10 calls in 2 days.  Didn't pick up; no messages left.  I'll just use Call Blocking.

I have been receiving these calls from this number starting at 7:30 in the morning and up to 4 to 5 times in a day for about 2 weeks. When I call back its states number not in service. How can you make a call from a disconnected number.

I BEEN GETTING THIS CALL AS WELL AND IF THAT PERSON PICKS UP THE DAMN PHONE IM GOING TO SNAP AT THE PERSON AND HANG UP ON THEM.

this number called me all day yesteday and already 4 times this morning-called back bot in service-WEIRD!
