We've received many phone calls  from this number.  The message is always the same:  this is your LAST chance to take advantage of a 6.9% interest.  Press #3 if you don't want to receive any more calls.  I've ignored the calls, I've picked up and pressed 3 and these message continue.  We are on the do not call list (a joke if there every was one) and they keep calling.........twice today alone.  So sick of it but apparently there is nothing you can do to get them to stop.  SO when they call, we ignore and have yet another message to erase from the answering machine!

These calls come from CROOKS, so don't expect anything more than crooked behavior. Obviously the government doesn't care, since these CROOKS have been in business for years. Obviously the phone companies don't care.

The only way to put them out of business is to tell everyone you know to NEVER, EVER give any information to ANYONE who calls you out of the blue. Not for a charity, not for a debt relief program, NOBODY. Remember: You don't know who is actually on the other end of the phone. The only sane response is to NOT GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT.

Recieved FOUR calls from them in spite of being asked to be removed from their list. The last time, I got a rep who spewed the most disgusting filth into the phone after telling him to remove my number immediately. This filthy excuse of a man (and I use the term loosely -- real men don't have jobs like this, much less spew filth into the phone) stayed on the line even after I'd hung up so when I picked up the phone again to call the police, he was STILL on the line spewing forth filth. What a spectacular failure he is, and what a spectacular failure his mother is for raising him to behave that way. I reported the number to the FL Atty. Gen'l's office, to the local police station, to the FCC, and I called a lawyer and I'm suing the company for calling my home when my number is on the DNC list and for hiring a person who spoke in such a way to me.

I got a call from this number. Found this info on another site. I called Peerless Network of Florida (the provider for (305) 587-2165, I found a number to their main office in Chicago 888-380-2721 where you can leave your number to be placed on a do not call list. I found that they are an affiliate of AT&T and that Scot Kell (312-282-9323) made the agreement with ATT. Just forward this number to him. Spread the word.

They use the following names: Card Services, Financial Center otr Lower Interest. Pressing any number will not stop them. National Registry is a Joke. Here is a list of phone numbers use by them:

These are " Robot Calls" . Same recording.   They are ilegal. Collected the phone number list since Jan 2012. Tire of reporting them   Nothing is done. I made a resolution at the start of the year, all calls will go to my answering machine. Sometimes if I listen to the msg and punch # 3, I will hold it down until I get cut off. They will not call me from that number again but will use another.

I had the ringer turned off so I didn't hear the call come in.  I just looked at the Caller ID a few minutes ago and saw they'd called.  Card Services plus the number showed up on Caller ID.  If they're calling regarding lowering card rates, hahaha we don't have any credit cards.  I do not ever answer names or numbers I don't recognize as being legitimate businesses we have dealings with or people we know personally.  THESE SCUMBAGS WASTE THEIR TIME ROBOCALLING OUR NUMBER.

PEOPLE. PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS BEFORE POSTING!!!

YOU MAY THINK THAT SOMEONE IS CALLING YOUR SPECIFIC PHONE NUMBER.

THEY DID NOT. THEY DID NOT CALL YOUR NUMBER SPECIFICALLY.

YOU WERE RANDOMALLY "ROBO" CALLED WITH A SPOOFED PHONE NUMBER ON A CALLER ID FOR A SCAM COMPANY.

Important message to all those that have received a call from this number:

There are several companies engaged in scam business using auto dialers. They are ALL scam outfits. They spoof phone numbers of victims all the time. Sometimes, they spoof non-working phone numbers. The phone number you searched for is just another victim of these scumbags. I've done a lot of research of these companies. Actually, there are several affiliated companies, that try to scam innocent victims. They are either owned by the same people, or they sell their business model to other crooks.

One scam is about auto warranties. The other is about credit card debt relief. They even have scams about dish television, home alarms, carpet cleaning, political surveys, free cruises, and more. Their MO is the same. The use an auto dialer, and call thousands of random numbers. They have no regard to the do not call lists. Your demands or complaints to them are worthless. They will continue to call you.

They will not remove you from their call lists. Why? BECAUSE THEY DO NOT MAINTAIN ANY. THEY ARE CROOKS. THEY HAVE NO REGARD TO THE MANY LAWS THEY BREAK.

BEING ROBO CALLED BY A COMPUTER IS A FEDERAL CRIME. NEED WE SAY MORE?

If they call about a car warranty, the message says something as "This is the second notice on your extended vehicle warranty. Press one now to speak to a representative..." The message about credit debt mentions "This is Account Services. We are calling to lower your credit card debt. Press one now to speak to a representative..." or "The is an important call from your cardmember services. This is your Final Notice. We have been trying to contact you?." The message about carpet cleaning begins "This is Diane, would like your carpet professionally steamed cleaned?"

These crooks can be beaten! Here is an example of what happens if ALL OF US contribute to taking them down by following the steps below:
http://www.justice.gov/usao/gan/press/2012/02-09-12.html

So, now you want to get these crooks. WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THIS? If you want to stop these crooks do the following:
:
1) You need to speak to one of their customer service representatives. Pretend to be interested in either lowering your credit card interest rate or a car warranty, having your carpets cleaned, etc. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY REAL INFORMATION. Do not ask how they "got" you number. (Remember, your number was randomly  dialed by a computer)

Tell them you have $20,000 in credit card debt. Give them a fake credit card number, a fake name, and a fake SS#. If the call is about the auto warranty scam, tell them you own a Ferrari, or a 1937 Dodge (however, if you really own one of those two, tell them you own a Buick). Give a made up VIN number. Or tell them you have 15 rooms of beautiful plush wall to wall carpet. If they ask for your name and phone number, give them the info for the person you hate the most.

Your goal is simple. You want to engage them in friendly conversation to keep them on the phone for as long as possible. Be nice and friendly. Your goal is twofold. You want to learn as much as possible about them. They will refuse to give you a website, phone number, or maybe even a real company name. They will attempt to give you a generic name such as "Account Services," "Financial Services," or "Dealer Services." This is done for a reason, to throw you and the government off their tracks. Do not accept this. Keep pressing for info during casual conversation. You will need this (see below). Often when pressed for questions, they will hang up on you. Remember, they are instructed to do this. That is why you must not be confrontational. Be friendly and act as if you are genuinely interested.

Get the name of the company, and if you can, the city where they are located. Most of these scam companies are either in Florida, or in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

EVEN BETTER IS IF YOU CAN RECORD THE CALL.

Also, the time you take from them means them have less time to steal from someone who is unknowledgeable about their scams. They get paid to rip people off. Take away their time, and they make no money! I have kept them on the phone for up to 20 minutes! I realize that many of you do not have the time. But do you appreciate being taken advantage of?

Ever hear of Scambaiting? That is what you are doing!!! There are many entertaining web sites on this topic. For example, see:
http://www.419eater.com.

2) Get the details of these scumbags and post it on this and every other website you can find. Use only the information you get from talking from their representatives and information you get from public sources. DO NOT POST THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE PERSON THAT OWNS THE PHONE NUMBER ON YOUR CALLER ID. Their numbers were spoofed and they are victims.

3) YOU MUST REPORT THEM TO THE AUTHORITIES:

FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION!
Here is the link to file a complaint: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION:
https://donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

You can also file a report with the Attorney General of your state. See the links below to see how effective this can be.

If everyone that received a call from these low-life scumbags does the same, then the combined action of thousands of us can stop these crooks from scamming innocent people out of money.

Additional information: This is what can happen if everyone were to complain!

Let me tell you how I helped defeat a former scam company. Versadebt, that changed its name to VP Marketing, was scamming victims for years. I found the name of their company through conversation with one of their stupid representatives. And not only did I report them to the FCC and FTC each time, I also posted their contact information on the internet to make it easier for everyone to report.

Here is a story from Fox 5 Atlanta - WAGA that tells how WE took down VP Marketing, just one scam operation. Over 100,000 complaints were received by the FTC:
http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/news/i-team:-vp-marketing-sued-021710

If you get the name of the company,  here is how you can find their information if located in Georgia, with the search engine of the Georgia Department of State:
http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/CSearch.asp

For example looking up VP Marketing, the former scam outfit, we see that it is owned by Jason Eyer, the dirt bag shown in the Fox 5 video. Here is how you can contact this person, courtesy of public records filed with the Georgia Department of State:
Jason Eyer
1603 Mosaic Way
Smyrna, GA  30080
407-902-1950
407-902-9377

And here is the most satisfying evidence of how we can defeat and destroy these scumbag scammers:
JURY CONVICTS WOMAN IN $25 MILLION NATIONWIDE TELEMARKETING FRAUD SCHEME
http://www.justice.gov/usao/gan/press/2011/11-07-11.html

Remember:

1) Be friendly and pretend to be interested
2) Try to get the name of the company
3) Research the name of the company using public records
4) Post the name of the company everywhere on the internet
4) Report them to the FCC, the FTC, and the state Attorney General's office

Write our Congress and Senate. We need CRIMINAL penalties against the companies that are profiting from these calls. Follow the money, slap them in jail, no one left to outsource to overseas boiler rooms, problem solved.
Since they are operating across borders it should become a federal felony and should be handled by the FBI under the RICO Act.

How it works:
http://onthespotblog.com/on-the-spot-blog-stirs-up-rachel-at-cardholder-services/ ...
http://onthespotblog.com/tag/cardholder-services/

We need CRIMINAL penalties against the companies that are profiting from these calls. Follow the money, slap them in jail, no one left to outsource to overseas boiler rooms, problem solved.
Since they are operating across borders it should become a federal felony and should be handled by the FBI under the RICO Act.

These calls are coming from call centers in Costa Rica and India and they are using spoofed (false)
numbers, which in itself is illegal. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in
this country and they know that what they are doing is illegal. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC. Keep complaining to the FTC and FCC, and start bugging our politicians to pass laws to make it punishable in criminal court instead of handing out fines that they don't pay. Another course of action is to contact phone companies to find out why they won't block spoofed numbers. With today's technology that should be an easy thing to do, unless they are somehow profiting from the use of their systems.

Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small
print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone.  The Telephone Consumer
Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes
or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for
each violation.

People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office and also file with:
http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
If enough people keep complaining then maybe something will get done.

The FTC has already taken action against some of them however they just pay a small fine and are back at the same scam the next day:

calls. Follow the money, slap them in jail, no one left to outsource to overseas boiler rooms, problem
solved. Since they are operating across borders it should become a federal felony and should be handled by the FBI under the RICO Act.

They are identity scam artist trying to trick you into giving them your personal info in order to lower the interest on your card. They sound like they know what they are talking about because all mastercard and visa cards have the same certain digits as part of a account number. So if you say yea my Visa account they will go the one that starts with xxxxx and your thing wow thats right they must be with the company and so gain trust....before you know it they got all your info and are gone and cannot be contacted. The government really needs to put these kinda people in jail.

These are the same folks who I told to stop calling me last month...and they tried to hang up but didnt...so I got to hear the operator I had been talking with call me 'a stupid bi***' and laugh with his co-workers.

So...to file complaints with the FCC,

To file a complaint go to http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm    - have details about what happened and eventually....there will be action.
