No, it's not the 'upsell fairy'. We don't have a cruise booked, but they still called us to drum up business. They're just doing their jobs. That's no reason to beat them up.

I put a Carnival cruise deal on "24hr courtesy hold" on their website.
I changed my mind and decided to let it go and let the "hold" expire.
The very next day a "personal vacation planner" called and left a message.

Yes, it is Carnival Cruise Telemarketing Calls. Trying to get you to buy a cruise.

They're legit.  I have booked and cruised with CCL 8-10 times.  On 3 occasions I got upgraded to the penthouse suite two weeks before our sail date...for a much lower rate than I could of done online.  Other times we couldn't afford another dime, so we declined when called for the upsell.

Its a personal preference if you wish to speak to them.  I would.  And if you don't want to be bothered,  just answer and ask to be taken off the call list, they aren't the normal annoying telemarketer.  They will listen and remove you as you request.

I just a call from this number. Here's the low-down.

It's not a telemarketer. It's a legit call. They are customer service for Carnival Cruise lines. Wife and I booked a sail for coming April. The agent was Mario. Very good guy to talk to if you have any questions about your cruise, itinerary and shared ideas on what our family can do to make sure we enjoy our trip and take advantage of the time at the ports and on the ship.

A number to definitely answer if you are doing business w/ Carnival no doubt!

Wish I would've answered...it was my mom in law calling from the ship to say hello!  Hmph!

So I too have a cruise booked through Carnival in the near future.. has anyone tried to see if there's actually a legitimate upgrade being offered from this number? If so, how much and how good were the upgrades? If it's actually worth it, I might answer the call.

Just give them a call and they will. Obviously you provided information on their website.

You or your wife probably did at some point. Just give em a call and ask to be removed from their list.

The DNC doesn't apply here because Carnival doesn't cold call.

I too hate telemarketers BUT if you have ever cruised with Carnival or filled out info on their website, they are going to call you to offer you specials, follow up with booked cruise information etc. So if you don't want them to call you, simply call the number back and ask to be removed from their calling list. No problem. They will be happy to do it. BUT if you are interested in a cruise, take a minute and talk to them. Great deals can be had.

Past and future Carnival cruiser

These jack***es just called my wife's phone at 12:45AM?!?  We have never booked, nor inquired, nor considered Carnival Cruise Lines and are both on the DNC.

I NEVER did business with these creeps,called them or visited their website  yet these unclean progeny of dubious ancestry continue to call my number. DAMN THEM TO HELL for all eternity plus 500,000 years!

Got the call toady, didn't pick it.

Carnival cruise lines calling to tell me what to print out for our upcoming cruise, as we have booked online.  No upsell.  Gave me 1-800# and extension if we have any questions.

Carnival Cruse Line need not call me.  Was scheduled for a cruise with myself and 5 other ladies.  They would not let me board with the same info that I had given them just a few months before.  Of course I didnt get money back either!!  I am really beside myself why a cruise line cant refund money on something we didnt do..  I understand Carnival is going down hill from a friend that just took a cruise.  They did not have the buffet OR room service.  I think I would look elsewhere.

Got two missed calls from this #305-599-2600.  I googled it to see who it was, glad I am not the only one getting these calls.  I was on the Carnival Cruise website the day before the calls. I hope they stop calling, since I will not answer.

I received a call from this number and they left me a voicemail stating they were Carnival Cruise Lines. In the message they asked if I would call back and provide them with my e-mail address so they can send me specials.

It's the Carnival Cruise Lines 'upsell fairy' as the number is known by on cruise boards. Must be close to your sail date and they want to put you in those BIG suites!

Have asked them to stop calling - I understand marketing is necessary, but they can email.

Rec'd a call initially from a "restricted" # at around 9:30 at night - didn't answer.  Then got a call from 305-599-2600 the next morning which I didn't recognize so didn't answer.  Did take a carnival cruise so good to see from a previous poster that it's their telemarketing dept.  Prefer they contact by email so will not answer this # in future as well.

Got a call.  Answered suspiciosly and sure enough got the 2 second delay before someone asked to speak to me.  I said "he's no longer at this number".  They hung up.  20 seconds later I got an email asking to call them.  I didn't respond to it.  Hopefully they remove me.

I am on the do not call list: please have them take me off there list.
