When I told them that I was on the do not call list and that I just had surgery and could they please take me off the list, the ignorant jerk on the other end said "awwww....isn't that too bad" and then laughed in my face. I called him a nasty name so he called me back 3 times and said that he was going to continue to call me over and over again. The 3rd time my husband got on the phone and threated that if he ever called this house again he would hunt him down and break his face....needless to say he hasn't called again, until today someone else called and it was a woman, I told her the same thing and she said "so what, we'll do what we want" then started mock me when I talked, I called her a DB and hung up on her.

These people need to be taken DOWN!

305-971-5167 has called my house repeatedly about once a week for more than 6 months. Finally I picked up the phone and pressed 1. I spoke with a guy and told him that I wanted to be taken off the call list and he asked if I was afraid of the dark and said that he was gonna get me over and over again. He wouldn't get me over to a supervisor so I called him a sick individual and hung up. If anybodies ever in Florida they should pay this guy a visit!

Maybe we need to start fighting back--click one and then drop the phone on the floor--or slam the phone down --I don't think these lowlifes are going to come all the way from Florida to beat you up. Or maybe a piercing sound into the phone--filing with the gov't does no good--they don't care--I've been getting these calls from a number of different numbers in Fl with the same result--the number doesn't receive incoming calls.

They call me all the time. I was so fed up that (instead of hanging up right away)I dialed "1" and spoke to some guy who wouldn't answer any of my questions, like "what kind of company are you?" He hung up on me.

Got a call from these guys April 13th. I have had repeated calls from them, pressed 2 to remove, but that doesn't work. This time I pressed 1 and a man asked if I wanted to lower my rates.  I told him to put me on their do not call list now. He said "no".  I demanded again and he called me a "crazy b__". I replied with an expletive. Then he responded with a very vulgar sexual invitation. I hung up and immediately filed a complaint with donotcall.gov.

I suspect this is a Scientology front group as I have also been receiving phone calls from Scientology and they have operations out of Florida as well. Anyone else having the same experiences?

I've turned these idiots in each time they have called and still nothing has been done about the phone calls.  I even signed up for Privacy Manager with the phone company because I was told that if on caller I.D. either the phone number or the name of the person calling came up UNKNOWN that the calls wouldn't get through and my phone wouldn't ring.  Well, guess what = that doesn't work either.  I guess the only thing I will be able to do is just get rid of my phone period.  I'm tired of getting these calls all hours of the day and night.

@Archie. It's possible that they are spoofing the caller id name, in other words the name they are sending is 'unknown name' so the caller id thinks that is the name of the calling party. You should check your phone package and look for Call Screening. That allows you to block specific numbers from getting through to you.

Just got a call from this number, pressesd 1 for an operator. She asked if I was calling to reduce my credit card rate. I said No, this is a scam take me off your list. She said f*** you and hung up.

These people use caller id spoofing software. The CID is false. Pretty impossible to figure out who they are. It may get to the point that we all have to use some sort of software that allows the user to indicate whose calls will ring through and all others are blocked

When I said I wasn't interested, the guy said I was stupid, that I deserve everything bad that happens to me in life and I was a f'n idiot.  Thought it was illegal to talk like that on the phone.  I just don't give any credit card number over the phone.  I only asked them why they didn't already have it if they called me and was affiliated with my card.  He said he was in the military for 10 years and had a degree in financial services.  Professionals don't usually explain themselves by listing qualifications you have no way of verifying.  That's when I was sure I had a squirrel.  They must have a lot of innocent victims.  Surprised to see the abusive language is common at that number.  This is telemarketing at it's worst and there should have been arrests by now.

If donotcall.gov has done nothing after who knows how many calls, who do you contact in Florida?  If you got an address from google.earth, do you contact sheriff, local police, or politician or everybody?  Somebody can fix this.

Go to whitepages.com and do a reverse phone lookup.  It's free.  You will get the names two people with that number and their address in Miami.  Should we contact the phone company and police about the repeated filthy language and terroristic threats?  It is all against the law.  Phone company should at least pull the plug on them whether we are in Florida or not, they and police have a situation to attend to.

Probably a "phishing" scam: trying to get your credit card info

I was just called by someone asking if I was a telemarketer. I had no knowledge about this. I no longer have that phone number 305 971-5167. I canceled that line back in 2008 and I never used it for business purposes. I had the line for two months. I don't know how to correct this but I am not behind all this. Any suggestions.

Let it go  to the answering machine, but picked up to listen in.  No evidence of anyone there.  Yes, I am on DNC; how is this even legal?!

Caller said he was calling from Visa customer service and was offering to lower my interest rate.  I said that I don't pay interest and he said that I did as he was looking at my account. I have never carried a balance or paid interest so I knew that he was lying and this whole thing is a farce.  I actually get calls from this group often and I am tired of them bothering me and I can't control or shut them out.  This should be illegal.

Does anyone know how to locate the phone company that issued this number?  If I could find out the phone company(ies) that give phone numbers to these guys I would complaint to them to cutoff service.

Received another call from this number. Recorded voice states I'm behind payments on credit card and to press 1 to speak with a representative. Then says press 2 to take advantage of lower interest rates. Pressed 1 and talked to a representative to qestion what card they were referring to. Male voice said VISA or MASTERCARD. As soon as I told them that it would be difficult to be behind on something I didn't have, I was hung up on. This isn't the first time they've called, but despite telling them to remove my name, they keep calling.

This caller said that he works with the big banks.  When my wife asked him to remove our number from their call list he told her she should slit her throat.  Then he threatened to beat her like Chris Brown beat Rhianna.

I've received calls from this number as well and when I answer there is nobody there.  When it rolls to voice mail they don't leave a message. When dialing the number back it says it is "not in service to RECEIVE calls."  Total BS.

I just ignored the call and the message to my voicemail was to the effect that this is the last chance I have to lower my credit card rate before the time runs out. I figured I should google up the number and just like so many other callers in the recent few months they are just the phony type. I guess we all need to start reporting them and demand they be put out of business soon!

Got that same phony credit card call numerous times now. They hang up as soon as I tell them I want to be taken off the call list. Sometimes I can't even finish saying it before they hang up on me. One girl told me that until I listen and 'act nice' she is going to call me back everyday. (so far every 3rd day now)

I called the Better Business Bureau. Was told to play along with them and act like I want to take them up on their offer only long enough to get their company name to report them.
