I received a phone call tonight at 7:34pmEDT from phone # (916)382-7866 Name: "Brittany Adams" This is a Calif area code! Have received numerous calls over last 2 years from different "Officers" "Agents",etc.BBB does NOT endorse this company!!! This is a SCAM!!

Yes, I got a call from Westwood yesterday!  I called back because I have a dispute with a store here and a broken foot!  I kept asking why they were calling.  The woman who answered said her name was "Agent Gresham!"  I asked for her whole name, rank and serial number! I asked for the address. I got none of the items I requested, except they said they were in Waco. She kept talking and I told her that I had no debts.
Then she said it was from 2008!  I was in grad school. Eventually, she said that I had NINE complaints and it was FRAUD!  At that point I got angry and told her NEVER to call my house again!   But I noticed that she was calling from a cell phone (wireless with the numbers y'all have listed)!  She kept saying that she had video! I told her a lot of people did as I was a singer!  Then, I called my attorney!  He told me it sounded like a scam!  Then, I remembered that People Finder has all the information!  So, I'm going to the AG, to the police, to my lawyer, FCC, FDAC!   I may even have some fun and go to Waco and apply for a job and get the goods on them!  Oh, I intend to call the television station!

I got a call from these people and the recording said the same thing many other's have posted. I too have a payday loan from the Cash Store who at the time the loan was due refused to work out arrangements with me to pay them back. The casd store wanted all the money even when I explained to them how much they could draft from my account to avoid a returned check. Needless to say they still attempt to make a full payment draft which caused the bank to reject it. The then sent me to a collection agency who did the same thing..refused to make arrangements to be paid in full however in smaller payments on a bi-weekly schedule.  Now I have these people calling with threats. WTF! I never said I would not pay, only said I can't pay in full at this time but, I'm willing to make payments until I get it paid in full.  There's no need for the Mediation people to call to try to scare me, nor the collection agency to call to try to belittle I'll take my chances with a Judge at least I know they will be willing to make an arrangement.  I'm no deadbeat...I pay my debts these people have to understand that sometime paying something is better than paying nothing at all. I quess when you work on commission it makes you heartless!

Yes, this is a scam. They say they are "mediators" NOT debt collectors and in the next two business days I will be hauled into court. I'd like to see that happen. Even if I had a debt, the debt they claim is "small claims" business. Nobody is going to knock on your door or go to your place of employment and haul you away.

This was not this number that called, but the same company. Between the number that called, the number they supplied in the voicemail message and the number I was told to call, I was certainly given the runaround. Area codes from multiple states... RED FLAG!

I kept them on the line for 30 minutes asking them questions. They couldn't answer my questions but I figure if they are wasting my time, I'm going to waste their time and frustrate them in the process.

I asked for verification of debt. They (I spoke to two people) claimed they contacted me nine times and a few minutes later it became eleven times and then fifteen times. They claimed to summons me to court at my place of employment. I laughed because I work out of my home on most days. I teach at a local university part-time so my home is my "office". I asked which place of employment and they stated it would cost an extra $1,000 to release that information. I said I'd pay for it and to add it onto my bill. They threatened to arrest me and asked how I'd like to take care of this debt so that I don't get arrested. I said, "I need to consult with one of my attorneys about this matter." The tone of the conversation changed--almost defensive--and they gave me ANOTHER number to have my attorney call but that I better do it quickly or I'd be summoned to court. Now I'm calling all the numbers to see if they are even correct numbers.

I had some time to kill today. Having fun pranking these clowns. LOL

They did the same to me and yes I have an outstanding loan.  They told me the same thing and used scary tactics on me which worked.  I gave them my cc over the phone.  Ms. Manny Johnson has been taking money out of my account to paid for this loan. The first letter sent had so many misspelled words.  Recently they changed over to The Stage III Group and myself and bank called this number the person that answer said she has been getting calls all day with people saying  this company took money out of there accounts.  Come to find out Westwood Mediation change over to this company.  My bank decided this was a scam until further investgaton I've called Westwood several different times and days it continues to go into a voice mail. Please let me know if this is a real firm or they just took me to the bank.

Yup. Got a call from Mandy Johnson, too how about Mrs. Sullivan. Also about a Payday loan too. Called Westwood Mediation, they claim Mrs. Sullivan and Mandy Johnson, were fired. Asked Mr. Frank Styles to send me a email regarding this matter. I never did!!!!!   They are a scam. Stay they have offices in Houston, TX. The call always went to Atlanta Office.

This company Westwood Mediation uses several area codes....but they are located @ 3482 Lawrenceville Hwy in Tucker,Ga. 30084...owners Omar Smith and Edward Smith. These individuals owned and operated several scam agencies in NY. If you google Omar and Edward Smith collection agency sexual harassment against consumers you can read up on these dirt bags. If your payday loan is 200.00 these ppl will add 2 or 3000.00 and threaten you with the cops or being served to appear in court. STOP IGNORING THIS AND REPORT THESE ISSUES TO THE GOVENOR OFFICE OF CONSUMER PROTECTION @ 404-651-8600

Westwood Mediation use a lot of different area codes....but they are based out of Atlanta, Ga. Located at 3482 Lawernceville Hwy Tucker,Ga. 30084. If you google "Omar And Edward Smith NY collection agency suit for sexual harrassment case" you will see that these monsters was shut down due to a sexual lawsuit...as well as scamming consumers.....so they moved to Atlanta running the same game!! Everybody at this company uses a fake name. If your payday loan is 100.00 they will add on 2000.00 or more. Theses ppl will also say that your will be served to appear in court or go to jail if you don't pay!! Please stop ignoring these calls and threats, and report these dirt bags....remember these creeps already been reported and charged by NY attorney general!!!  FIGHT BACK!! This company who calls themselves Westwood mediation is a scam.They claim to be calling about an ace cash express loan that I paid years ago.When I tell them its been paid they say I owe and they don't care and they will have me arrested and take my family to court.They start telling you any fake threats to try to sate you into paying money you do not owe.When I asked them to mail me something in writing they won't and they ask for your email.They also called me a few months back claiming to be Grahm Noble & associate and they were doing the same thing.

Got a call today from 310-210-2804. Called me eight times and I finally answered.  Some gal said she was an investigator said there was a pending legal action against me about some check I wrote.  Told her I declared bankruptcy and she needed to talk to my lawyer.  She said that it had nothing to do with that and I told her not to call me again. I told her to bring it on.  She tried to call back two times until I informed her I would call the police.  She quit calling.  Dirt bags!!!!

FAKE POST by the scammer

They have also called me from 218-963-5328 after I blocked their 308 number. The person calling was "Olivia" from Westwood Mediation Group looking for an aquaintance of mine from several years ago who apparently took out a payday loan and neither had permission to use my name nor informed me that they did so.

i just called this number back and the guy said it was a banking issue, but when i told him my daughter is 17 i want it to stop, he gave me three different names and said she was done on a reference for a bank and wont stop and cant stop so i will report the number to local police and he started get rude.....this is a scam i am done with companies thinking they can do this...........

Just lately I have recieved calls from this number, saying i was approved for a car loan, only problem I never applied for a car loan and I am on the do not call list. I am going to file formal complaint somewhere.

It wasn't this phone number but it was this company that called.   The return number they left was 888-958-3653.  I googled that number and it came up with a bunch of Chinese websites.   That's the first red flag.    They also said the message was "intended": for ------------------ and that there was an outstanding debt and she had 48 hours to call back.      This call was to my elderly mother that just got out of the hospital and has absolutely no outstanding debts what so ever.     The lady said her name was Sherice Jones from Westwood Mediations, to call 888 958 3653 extension 622 within 48 hours.

When you call the number back, there is nothing.  Nothing at all.    These are bogus claims by bogus people that are praying on the public.    FIGHT BACK!!!

It is bogus...I had a lady named Mandy Johnson who on Friday told my mom all the info....strike 1(you released my personal info) then told my mom I had until 12 noon but told me 2:00 was my deadline....strike 2(different deadlines) then called again on Monday after my papers were to be sent on Friday...lol did a lil research about laws around online payday loans...you can close your account  without being sued it just goes on your credit as chargeoff

STOP CALLING ME ON MY CELL PHONE

I've received many calls from them for the past year.  I have called them back numerous times to tell them that the person they are looking for is NOT me and I have no clue who the person is that they are looking for.  The person on the other end who said her name is Sandy, hung up on me 2x's.  I called back each time she hung up.  I told her I was going to go to the BBB about this and I even plan on contacting the Attorney Generals office.  I'm tired of being harassed by this company on a daily basis when I am NOT the person they are looking for.

I too just got an automated call from Westwood Mediation. When I returned the call Margaret Baker asnwered and threatened legal action. I will admit I do have an outstanding payday loan and that's what she was referring to. She kept saying she's an investigator and it's up to her whether or not she pushes my file to litigation, basically she was pressuring me into giving her debit card info to pay towards the debt or she would have my local county serve me papers and possible charges of fraud.

I'm not proud to say that I have dealt with many collectors over the years but the good side is I can recognize scare tactics..things she would waver on, certain phrases, I could tell she is probably nothing more than a very polished collection agent however they DO have the ability to serve you papers. Its wise to not just blow it off and I'll keep posting here as I have updates.

They called me 13 months ago. At that time, I called back and told them I only have had this number for a month, and I am not whomever they want. I also stated to never call my number again. They called me again 6-6-2012 at 7:05 pm. This time I listened and took notes. They said they are Westwood Mediation and that I have an unresolved debt, etc. I called the number given, 1-877-260-7197. I tried to explain the same thing, and even gave the reference number from the recording. The person answering cut me off, was rude, refused to listen, insisting that I must listen to him. In order to be heard I yelled (he continued to speak, becoming load and belligerent) to say it is not problem and I was trying to do them a courtesy by calling. He continued, I hung up.

I've received calls from this number at least 2x.  I called back to find out who they are.  They say "Westwood Mediation" and threaten legal action.  
I called 3x to see who I'd get each time.  Each time was same person: Margaret Baker.  She called me back one time.  Caller ID showed she called from 1-254-227-6621.  I hung up on her.
I checked web to find out who they are.  No real info.
Blocked both numbers via my phone company.

I keep receiving calls from this number.  I spoke with someone once and asked for paperwork to be mailed for proof of the debt.  They told me that they do not have as it has gone passed that stage.
