Caller id read Cell Phone NE
Picked up because thought it was a friend.  "Hello, this is Rachel at Cardholder services."  I hung up.  Never have a seen a card call with "cell phone" on the id.  I think it is a scam.

Caller ID: "US Cellular"  -  This was a recording.  The female voice began saying that she was a Cardholder services.   Recognizing this was a scam, I hung up.  I was unable to identify the carrier.  One source reported this was a cell phone in Nebraska.  Another source identified it as a land line.  Who knows?

We received a phone call from 1-308-999-8888. They claimed they were going to lower my interest rates.  I was connected to a woman who asked which credit card I had. I replied by stating "You called me. Shouldn't you know which card I'm using."  At this time she hung up on me. I believe this is a scam. BEWARE!

prerecorded female voice says that i'm not in trouble with my credit card but that it was my last chance to lower my rate to 6.9%.   BULL.  THIS IS YET ANOTHER SCAM.  i am on the national do not call list.  doesn't make a difference to these parasties.  please do not fall for these "too good to be true" scams.  if they were legit, they would have said what credit card company they were calling for.

I have not received this calls but when people try to call it back, they are calling my home number. my number is 308 9998 but area code is 717. I did not call you! please make sure you are calling the number properly! Its a good thing I am a people person, but I am about ready to tell some off! I have called my phone company and they can do nothing for me, unless I change my number!  PS what does the number look like when it comes up on caller id.

Got this call in PA saying it was Michelle and that my credid card was okay, but wanted to "lower interest rate".  I really think this is a scam and I am reporting it to the police.

I received a call as a recording telling me that they wanted to lower our interest rates on our credit cards.  To do this you needed to go into the directory of numbers so you could give my information to someone.  I didn't, but it was weird.

I received a call last night from this number in PA.

Live in Pa, got this (FROM RACHEL) again .Called it back, said # was disconneceted, sounds like a scam.B

i got a call from this nnumber in PA as well....

I saw on my called ID that they called at noon, eastern standard time.  It also said "U.S. Cellular".  I checked this website to see if anyone knew who this was.  I live in PA.  No message was left.  I've found that sometimes these calls are from Talbots, Anne Taylor, etc.

Who is calling from this phone number? Anyone else getting calls from them?
