Made all the requisite complaints to every agency I am aware of, federal, state and local.  I suspect that the phone number is part of some sort of spoof system that sends out fake numbers and manipulating the phone system to fake their location.  They feel very safe, which is why they are so reckless with their diatribes.  I promise you that they picked the wrong people to try this stunt.  They just became my new hobby.  They'll be seeing me or some surrogate very soon.

These people called me with as well with threatening messages, etc. regarding some type of fraud.  I saved their threats and called them back.  I am not an attorney; however, I know corporate finance law and went through a terrible drawn out divorce.  

We need to shut these type of scammers down.  As soon as I mentioned I'll get my attorney involved and how I committed fraud, they hung up on me.  I repeatedly tried to call them back and they blocked me.

How about a class action folks!  I am tired of Americans getting ripped off by these types of people.

I also received a call from this number and the person with a foreign speaking voice told me to get an attorney because I was going to jail and that I would have to pay over 8 thousand dollars for the entire process. I asked what this was about they said that I am being sued for unpaid loans and that I need to get a lawyer. They told asked me to verify my social security number and mailing address that they correctly read to me unfortunately I confirmed and told them this must be some kind of mistake or fraud. Then I began asking them questions about their law firm and their client. They told me the firm was Kelly and Campbell and the client was American Cash. After that, the person hung up on me. Now I am doing research on them. I called them back to let them know that I am contact the state?s Attorney General Office in their state to report this FRAUD. And I will file a complaint with the American Bar Association and Attorney Grievance Board. If they are legitimate, now the heat is coming down on them. I am not going to stop screaming until I get to the bottom of this. If they are not legitimate, They?ve hit the wrong one. Update: I found out that this law firm does not exist.

They called me today. At first i never really answered unknown numbers, but when they left voicemail messages they sounded very convincing. So then i called back the number 3092000943 and i talked to Eric Jones. This guy had a very thick Indian accent & i coudnt understand the words that he was saying. He then read me the affidavit that he had infront of me telling me right off the bat that i got a lawsuit from this payday loan. He then told me that they will call my work place and let them know what was going on. He sounded really fishy when he was telling me that the matter was strictly confidential and coudnt give me the exact name of their company. I asked him how come i never got a mail or anything in writing that i am being sued for? He then just kept going & going about putting criminal charges against me because the issue at hand is very sensitive knowing that they have my last four my social security number. I told him to call me back the next day because i know something is not right. So i did a little research and BOOM!!! I saw all these payday loan scams. Dont be fooled people!! Read the law ! Know it study it! I cannot wait for them to call me back & tell them i know they are scam artists!! I did report them to the police already and made a complaint on ftc website

I am a crime analyst for a city police department.  We just had a report from 5/7 from a victim in our jurisdiction related to this issue you all speak of.  It is a scam.  Report the incident to your local police department, do not talk back to the suspects, do not engage in a back in forth with them.  Our suspect used "Erickson Law firm" out of Chicago.  Our victim got in touch with Erickson, they are well aware of the problem due to so many victims and they have forwarded information to their State Attorney's office.  These suspects are so bold, they have used our victim's phone number to order everything from pizza's to his house, to actually calling in a fake robbery to our 911 and saying the suspect's phone number was our victims!  If you have had any recent dealings with americanpayday.com, that is probably the root of your problem.

These guys are so ridiculous and stupid!!  First off if you are going to try and collect money for a debt; know the laws!  There is no debtors jail, nor can you be arrested for "owing money" - come on really!

I am a paralegal, so when this guy said have your attorney call me.....I handed the phone to my boss.  My boss told the man to fax him the papers he had and what I owed and he would take care of it. My boss also asked for this guys address because he informed him he was doing business illegally and wanted to inform the police in that area.  The guy told my boss that he would provide the address if he sucked (you fill in the blank).  Who does that kind of stuff?  Plus, no fax ever came - big surprise there! NOT!

So as you can see.... these guys are truly scamers, pond scum, whatever you want to call them.  Just please, do not give them information or money!!

They threatened to throw my wife in jail on Tuesday morning, and that a want went out for her arrest either today or Monday, he couldn't be sure. These nut jobs have Ben calling me for 3 days this time. They did this to me back in January too. They made such threats to me and my family safety. Changed my number now they got the new one. Always starting with the same fraud charge threats and arrest. America names thick indies accents. How can I get them to stop. Single mom n scared to death of their physical violence threats.

Kept getting messages (foreign accept) for someone with different first name, but same last name saying that if I don't repond all they can do is "wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you".. must hear from me, yadayada.

"Elayne Marcus and Steven Smith" CLAIMED they represent "Errickson & Markoff Law Firm" and that this person borrowed money from "American Cash Loan Co." on line, and money was not paid back.  They have wrong number... I made them STOP recording the call (which they didn't disclose they were doing) and gave them A RASH OF CR**AP RIGHT BACK!!!!  GO GET THEM!!

just recieved a call from 309-200-0943 stating that my husband was going to be arrested in the morning for fraud and that he is in deep trouble and that we had to pay 8000.00 for legal fees and supposed unpaid loans. i told him to shove it along with various other explatives...

Please do the same as this is harrassment and they are threatening to do something they cannot do... who calls to let you know yu will be arrested??These people are nothing but scum bags and if we all get together we can win this.Just call the police and save any and all messages from these a-holes and call your states department of finance.

I get these phone calls all the time.  I told them to quit calling me.  That I know what they are doing.  Police won't do anything.

i got a phone call wanting to talk to my attorney and was wanting my attorney's information. when i asked why they said that they could not talk to me about it that they have to talk to my attorney about my case. and when i got smart with them they said that either i come up with some money or they will be at my house my tonight. i told them to come on and for them to make sure they know who and what they are dealing with. i have not signed up for any payday loans and for them not to call me ever again....they hung up!

They have called me several times cussing me out and threating me, i have told them if it does not stop i will report them yet they continue even at 2 in the morning.

this guy left me a voicemail and told me i am in serious trouble and need to call him back instantly and that i am facing most serious charges. he has a middle eastern accent and said that if i dont call him back all he can do is wish me luck and watch everything unfold around me. i only started receiving these calls from him after i filled out an application for a payday loan. the first time he called he said his name was trey parker lol and the second time he was kyle. obviously the name of a southpark charactor and producer. clearly they steal your info from an unsecured site and use it to scam you. little does he know i actually have an attorney. hope he burns in hell.
