The whole point of the call was supposed to be that I'd been entered into a $100,000 sweepstakes and because I was entered, I got the free gift of a watched or vacation voucher, and a subscription to a free magazine.

Ok, so they just called me on my cell phone and I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number and they didn't leave a message. After looking up the number and finding this website I blocked my number and called them back. They said my name was eneterd for some sweepstake and I cut her off right there and told her to take me off the calling list. She asked for my full name in order to take me off of the calling list. I told her, "why do you need my name if it is already entered into your sweepstake then you should have that right!" she then began stuttering and I hung up. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, IT IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!! I recommend ignoring their call if they do call you!

i work for this company and feel really bad it is a scam they are selling magazines and the name of the owner is richard barto. he has been charged with 13 counts of fraud and is on probation. he also has convicted felons that work for him and have been caught using customer's credit cards for personal use and never filed a complaint! please be careful these magazines cost 897.00 and none of your account information is secure they don't even have computors. there is only one computor that processes your card number on a program called bank tech. the telemarketer's still have to use hand held phones and call off of sticker's with your name's and adresses wich he get's from his adopted father dave barto in georgia. please be careful!! also it is illegal to use and purchase cell phone numbers! i am turning him in for that

poeple this is a scam and theres a very easy solution to all your problems. cancel your credit card and get a new one with new information so they cant get it. this worked for me and i wasnt chaarged a dime. they cant try to find it because its a scam and they would have to come clean to get your new info from the bank. moral of the story, ask your parents before you enter into a scam talk to them about the product they have a good sense of what is right and wrong. :)

I just got one this morning! I answered and I told her ive had this call before & Im not interested in their magazines or prizes! She supposedly said she will put me on the "do not call" list, yea right I better not get this call again.

Unfortunately for me I must answer unknown numbers because I do enter contests and things like that & I HAVE won some concert tickets which were legit so I just have to be really careful.

They called me at least twice, the second time the lady was really nice and I thought she was from PCH cuz she said something about being entered in a contest and I had recently signed up for that through the website. She went on to say I was eligible for a hotel voucher and like, five magazine subscriptions for only $14.95 a month blah blah blah no obligations, cancel at any time. I have been trying to save up money to go to Disneyland with my boyfriend for a couple years now so I thought, sweet, free hotel. I stupidly gave them my credit card number, they already knew my address, and I just got a letter saying that I was being charged $74.75 a month and I had to send in a slip of paper to "release" my prize to me. DON'T DO IT PEOPLE! THEY DON'T ANSWER THEIR "CUSTOMER SERVICE" NUMBER.

Was sitting at my computer and heard my husbands phone ring. I saw the number and thought it may be some one from his work cause they are all from different areas. The lady on the line originally asked for a Dexter then asked for my husband by name. When I asked who was calling she told me it was Brittany. Asked my husband if he knew any one by that name and he said no. I told the caller he was not available and she asked for me to have him call her back at that number.

So, yes it was because I had a Mastercard. I haven't called back and they haven't called me. I think the rep put notes on my name that I was going to research it to be sure it wasn't a scam. So they probly know I'm not going to fall for it, so they don't was their time.
To 69Dude- that is a great idea! I should call them and say "Hello, Can I help you?" like they do when they answer!

I had a missed call from the same #, and I called back and some girl with a heavy accent (country) said it was AMS (she said AMS didnt stand for anything)in Peoria, IL and its a sweepstakes company. Said theres no web site. Also said I was entered in a $100,000 drawing and for participating in the drawing, I have a choice of a diamond watch or 3 day, 2 night trip (she named off about 10 places). I asked her that if I wanted the trip, what do I do? She said they take my address to send me a "vacation certificate" and when i'm ready, to call the # and they'll make the reservations. So I told her I want to do some research first about AMS and that I'd call back if I found out it wasn't a scam. She said ok and all I have to do is call back, tell em my name and they'd send me the certificate.
I'm doing research on AMS and the only thing so far about a sweepstake is American Mortgage Services and you enter to win a trip to Hawaii.
I'll keep lookin...

I just received a call from that number and the caller told me I was entered into the $100,000.00 free give away and I was also receiving a diamond watch or a free trip to Hawaii, South Carolina and a few more places.  I just hung up but this is annoying to say the least!  She also had to inform me she was calling long distance from Peoria Illinois, like I cared, she called me on my cell phone so therefore she used my minutes for nonsense!!!!!!!!

unfortunately my boyfriend was suckered in by the free hotel certificate. they insinuated that the magazines were about $3 something a month. we get the letter in the mail 12/9/08 saying they have already taken $74.75 and will continue for 12 months amounting $897.00. the cancellation policy stated that we had 3 business days to cancel the transaction without "penalty or obligation". They are trying to keep the $74.75 and send us the first batch of magazines, regardless of how adamant we are about not wanting them. They claim the publishers have sent our magazines out already, but it will take 8-12 weeks to receive them. So i called every publisher in our magazine bundle. Time, GQ, Car & Driver, Playboy, and ESPN. None of them have any subscription information for my boyfriend and encouraged us to promptly cancel and dispute this with the bank. Upon receiving the letter, the customer service line is 1800-219-2909, they seem to have nothing to do with any sweepstakes, just magazine sales. I also asked what AMS stands for, they answer was nothing apparently. The customer service line calls them selfs AMS magazines, 309 number calls them selfs AMS sweepstakes. all in all, its a huge nightmare scam.

i received the first call at work a couple weeks ago.  i made the mistake of answering my cell (first because i was at work, and second because it was a bad idea).  the lady was really nice and said i won a magazine subscription and also got to choose between a watch and something else.  i went along with it for a couple minutes but then i just hung up.  you can't reason with these people.  the second call came in today but i didn't answer my phone.  it was then that i tried the reverse look up, and read all these comments.

ya i got 3 missed calls the other day from a resricted number, then answered it the fourth time and it was these people, i talked to the lady for a while interrogating her and making her repeat information, and at the end i asked is this a scam and she said no sir it isn't, so i asked for a company or foundation name and a website i could look at to verify that and she hung up.

I then got the call again today this time the number showed up as 309-589-0622 and when i talked to the lady i did the same thing as to the last lady and she also botched up, and was calling me by 2 different names and telling me different dates at the end than she told me at the beginning for the drawings
