CallerID = Breast Cancer. Apparently the Breast Cancer Society which is a known scam that was even reported on by  by Anderson Cooper/CNN

Called me too.  I let them go through the spiel, then hang up.  Takes them longer that way.  Not answering does not work either, I tried that for two years.  Volume is about the same now as two years ago. Now I'm answering, and hoping one of them will say something prosecutable.

Still receiving calls from 309-623-4977. I have never answered and they have never left a message.  I wish whoever is making the calls would get a real job.

These people have been calling me several times a day ( up to 5 times). Caller ID says Breast Cancer S. I've never answered and they have never left a message.

keep getting calls from this number, how do you report someone whenon the Do Not Cal list?

I sometimes wonder if these calls aren't backed by the cell phone companies trying to get land lines phones removed entirely. Think about it. But as sure as this happened, they would start calling your cell phones. Some are already calling mine. Beats me how they even got the number because I don't give it out. Regardless, calling my land line is a waste of their time. Sure it's annoying, but only if I'm not where I can see my caller ID. I DO NOT ANSWER phone numbers I don't recognize. It's the only thing I found that works.

I just received a call 4/15 I told them I donate elsewhere for Breast Cancer and the woman began talking a 1000 words a minute telling me I shouldn't put it all in one place, didn't I know that women were dying all over from breast cancer and needed my help. I said stop, my mother in law past from breast cancer I think I know... she says oh! and hung up on me... WTF! I say that I lost someone and you hang up on me. This is why I research everyone I donate too.

Got a call last night at 7:41 p.m.  Didn't have my glasses on & thought it was my niece, otherwise I would not have answered.  The lady was wanting money for breast cancer.  I told her I'm not able at this time.  She was saying just $20 and I still said not at this time.  She wanted to send me something through the mail & she went through her script again & I continued to tell her not at this time.  She was quite pushy & finally she hung up.  This is the 2d call from this so claimed operation.  I donate every year to the cancer society.

they are scamers and want your money and they pry on old people it is a dam shame

I've gotten numerous calls also form this number and it is so annoying.  ONline says many people get these calls and that it is registered to another agency and is a scam.  

The Breast Cancer Society is one of the "charity" scams reported on by Anderson Cooper of CNN in June 2013. It actually only donates 2.4% of its income to cancer patients. The scam is run by James Reynolds Jr. whose father, James Reynolds Sr., runs a similar scam (according to CNN), Cancer Fund of America. The ex-wife of Reynolds Sr. runs the Children's Cancer Fund of America.

I have received many calls day and night from Breast Cancer Society so called as it reads out on my caller ID according to evryone else on this site they have same problems getting our name off their database I have a feeling  if you donate to them it will never make it to the Breast cancer  society especilly when they want  you to use your credit or debit card. I am contacting Attorney General of Illinois and the Better Business Bureau to try to put a stop to this annoying phone calling i donate lots to CANCER sOCIETY BUT THESE CALLERS EITHER GET A DIAL TONE OR AN EAR FULL FROM ME!!

scammers! "charitable organizations" are not exempt from the do not call list. if EVERY!!!!! person who looks these #'s up would quit being so lazy-a** and actually file a complaint we could end or at least cut down on this garbage!

Received a call from (309) 623-4977 of Breast Cancer Society, Rock Island just a few minutes ago (8:58 P.M. CT on November 20, 2013). I didn't answer?.and at this time of night...how rude.  I have nothing against breast cancer research, but come on! There's got to be a nobler, less intrusive way to fund this cause than via telemarketing.  
I received call July 6, 2013 ? Wanted a contribution and "encouraged" me to use a credit card.  I would not do this and they said they would send me a notice through the mail so I could contribute.  Nothing ever came in the mail.  It is a FRAUD.

BREAST CANCER SOCIETY raises funds (it is not a charity) If you ask their 501 (c) (3) number they will hang up on you! ? Assoc. Community Services. 3971 Hoover Rd Grove City, Ohio is a UPS Mail Drop.

i am tired of these comstant phone calls about 10 every day. we are not going to donate money to a cancer center and have repeatedly told them to stop calling,,

SO ridiculous. They will not remove my name and call at least weekly.

I have an unlisted/unpublished number so I don't get calls like this and rarely give out my home number so I'm not even sure where they got my number. Sick and tired of getting these calls on a daily basis!!!

I received the first call on Sept. 3rd at 1:24 p.m. from first one person and then was connected to another named Amanda asking for a donation to the Breast Cancer Assn.  They sent me a form and I sent them a small donation with a personal check, but thought it was strange they asked for my debit card # which I refused to give.  They have called me at least 2 times a day anywhere from 9:53 a.m.to 8:54 p.m. since then but have left no message.  I don't answer when the name shows on my caller i.d.  I have since put a stop payment on the check.

Just recieved a call (8-16-13) from the same people.  They wanted to speak to my  husband--when I said he was not available & could I take a message.  The girl got all flustered & hung up. and I am  on the do not call list as well, but as I understand the system, it is  that if a company is not "selling" anything the Do Not Call registry does not apply, so these types of calls are in the clear of any wrong doing.

Posting that request here has no effect since the caller is not affiliated with this website and most likely will never come here to look for comments on their numbers.  Since this appears to be a call for a charity, you must tell the caller yourself to place you on their Do Not Call list, they are exempt from the Federal and State lists.
