yeah, i also got charged on my bank account to.  but it was only for a 2.95 fee.  it said the name of the company was PURCHASE CLEAR RIVER LLC CLEAR RIVER LLC, and they are based out of OR,USA.  Wish i could figure out who made this debit and how they got my info.  luckily it was only 2.95, and not a large debit

I found charges on my credit card from Clear River.  This company is associated with:  EPOCH.COM & Skype. Epoch.com (800-893-8871)is the parent company or associated with Clear River LLC (309-740-1651), KCSOFTLLC.COM (509-461-1156), STOCKIMAGESPOT.COM (765-997-1160), and PL PROJECT COMPANY (424-785-1586).  All of which have managed to deduct moneys not owed.

Never got a call but was charged 4.95 on this card that hasn't been used for several years and is in a vault. Chase MC quickly issued a new card and paid the 5 bucks.

Like others I did not receive a call, but was charged $4.95 on 5/5/08 by Clear River LLC, including this phone #.  Just had to cancel/reissue my card.  This was a card used ONLY for one subscription and one club fee.  My card company (the largest in world) also told me that this is "a book company" and asked if I'd purchased anything from them.  Shockingly, they don't track the companies that customers complain about.  I directed them to this site for education!

I have Limewire but, I do not have my credit card info on my computer at all.

Hey! I might have a lead on this company.  It is possible they are working through Limewire (music download website) that automatically configures your computer to share most of its information.  It is possible that someone is able to hack in to your system and steal any bank info you may have on your computer.  Anyone else remember downloading Limewire right before they were charged by this jerk?  Just a thought.

Didn't get a call and I would never give my cc number over the phone unless I initiate the call and know who I'm speaking with.

I was charged $4.95 on 6/19/08 and plan to call my bank right now.

We need to find out who provided our credit card numbers to these people or if they are getting them from somewhere they shouldn't be.

I dont remember whether i received any call from these guys but I was also charged by these guys on 6/16/08. I am not even using the card since past 4months. I am wondering how they got to know my card details. I was charged for $2.95 and when i call the phone number, it says your call can not be completed.

Like others, I was charged $4.95 on my charge card, posted on 6/16/08.  Don't know how they got the credit card number but it is fraud.  I have started the process for chargeback to get my money back.  Just call your credit card company and tell them this is a fraud transaction.

Didn't get a call but my VISA got charged $6.95 on 6-12-08.  Never heard of this business.

As all the others, I was not called.  I got the same charge of 4.95 from Clear River LLC.  Noticed it on my online banking right away and filled out an affidavid at my bank and have already received refund.  Hope the b*****ds are caught soon.

Samething Happened to me and I am in Iraq Yeah,  got to dupport your military members.   Never got a call but charged 4.95

A debit was also made on my checking account for $4.95. I called the number on my bank statement - 3097401651 but I got a recorded message that I barely could understand that said something about a website. I called again today (May 15) and now I get a operator message saying the number can not be completed as dialed.

Just an addition to the above post.  I didn't receive a call, but the number was listed after the CLEAR RIVER LLC debit transaction on my account for $6.95.

My purse was stolen in Houston, TX on May 11,2008.  Before I could get cards canceled a debit was made on 2 accounts.  Thieves are at work in Houston.

Another one here! No phone call, but the $6.95 charge appeared on my credit card with the phone # (supposedly a bookstore).
