This magazine company is a SCAM!  They relentlessly called my business until I talked to them.  They roped me into the whole magazine subscription scam.  I have only received 2 of the magazines (it's been 4 MONTHS!) and they are now harassing me for payment.  I have told them several times that I'm not paying until I receive the 7 magazines I was promised.  They of course make excuses, such as "the publisher puts a hold on the other magazines until the bill is paid".  BULL!  I'm not paying for something that I will never receive!  I finally told them yesterday to just cancel the whole thing and I would get my own dang magazines...they told me that I am "locked into a 1 yr contract"!  I told them I never signed any contract and if they kept harassing me, I would call my attorney!  The dude I talked to, by the way, was very arrogant and rude, and kept talking over me...wouldn't let me get a word in.
Oh, and I thought it was kinda strange that the number comes up on called id as "Fuller Communications", but the bills they keep sending me are from "Commercial Readers Service".  What's up with that??  Fishy!

They harass me constantly to advertise in their publication which has no readership.

I've been relentless in asking to be removed from their list, and have reported them several times as I'm on the DNC List.

The most recent caller was "Terri" who despite several attempts would NOT give me any information about their company, including:  their real name, address, etc.

They are scum.

So, your defending yourself as a therapeutic massage? Little does the consumer know that the actual name of the company is Fuller Therapeutic 1100 Beech Street  Normal, IL 61761 (309) 750-3932.
OF COURSE your gonna defend YOUR OWN A**... lets see some REAL responses from REAL PEOPLE, and put your REAL NAME, not Deeguns Momma or some BS... The people working there are TOTAL Do***e Bags & Yes, they treat their employees like S**t...
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, they try to say your "locked in" for 3-4 years..
Well, Think about it.. they dont have your social security number or any other info that they SAY they do..
Its ALL a threat... so, let em threaten you... THATS ALL THEY CAN DO!!!
Its all a bunch of BS... I know, Ive been there, Ive done that...
BTW, H. Fuller Cos. stands for Harry Fuller, which sells magazines to businesses WAY OVERPRICED.. Do the math... $14.47 per month (x) 48 months = $694.56
AND...
UMG (or)  Universal Media Group Inc at 105 W Jefferson St, Bloomington, IL. Call them at (309) 829-7494.
Sells magazines to consumers @ about $1,000 a pop....
Again, WAY overpriced, and very impulsive purchases is what they survive on...
Just to let you know.. THEY do prepay the publishers IN ADVANCE for the full service term, so, since your not LEGALLY bound in ANY CONTRACT (& trust me, verbal dont count, its just a threat) WHY not let em send you some mags & have the big blowfishs' foot the bill...

Extremely expensive!  They want you to lock into a 4 year agreement for 8 magazines that come monthly.  That is way too many magazines for anyone to read!  So much unnecessary recycling.  Also, this is 2012 no one wants to sit and read magazines anymore!  That has gone out with mullets in the 80s!  Everyone in the WORLD has computers now.  And most businesses have flat screens on their walls in their businesses.  They need a clue or a new idea to bug people.

My number is on the Do Not Call Registry. What can I do about this annoying caller. They call all the time. I don't answer because I didn't recognize the number. Oh, wow, wait a minute, they called my cell phone! How could they have gotten my cell phone number? I'm going to get my cell phone number placed on the do not call registry and see if that helps.

Sounded like telemarketers. I could hear the sounds of many other conversations going on in the background.

Fuller Communications.

spammy/scammy hangups.

called three times...never left a message.

And NO, my business number in not in a phone book! I haven't used one of those things in over a decade. They harvested it from somewhere else. It's just like spam to telemarketing a home. It's still slimy.

If you only took a minute to listen to the point of the call you most probably would have taken advantage.  They are trying to help busy business owners out and their service is phenomanol, next time you may want to take a listen and see what they have to offer, its only to your advantage.

Commercial Readers service is for busy business owners who need reading material for their waiting areas, design ideas for businesses and to find out what exactly is being focused on.  Instead of dealing with six or eight different publishers  you deal with one company. The best part is, you can swap mags out free of charge.  They have an excellent publication list and I would be doing a lot more unneccessary work if were not for them!  There customer service department is excellent and I will continue to renew my service with them for the duration of my existing business.

Received a call this morning from this number (I don't have caller ID, so I *69 to get it).  The woman asked to speak with the owner, I replied that he is not available and that I am the manager, what could I do for her.  She said she had to speak with the owner.  I asked what the nature of her call was, she simply said it was regarding photography publications.  She again said she must speak with the owner and would call back.  I said I manage all the business going in and out of the company and to be more specific as to what she meant by photography publications.  It turns out that she represents several different publications.  I said that we already subscribe to the publications that we want and to please remove us from her calling list.

Sometimes house numbers can get mixed in with business numbers. When I was laid off from work for three months, I had to work for a company which sold advertising on high school sports calendars. All the person is given is the number and the listed name. The employee is told that all the numbers on the list are businesses, so they do not know when they call that it is not a business.
It is not a fun job to have. I hated everyday I worked there, but it was the only job available in my town. When they call thinking it is a business, try to be nicer about it. They truly do not know until they call and you answer that it is not a business.

Unfortunately people the "Do Not Call" list only applies to consumers and not businesses.......so if your cell phone is considered your business line, then you will continue to get calls from telemarketers.  Those are the FCCs rules.  I used to work for this company (I was there 3 years) and if you ask them to remove your name from their list, then they will happily do so......their employees work off of commission and don't want to waste their time with someone who does not want to be bothered. They do train all of their employees to remove ppl from the list that ask you to.....they REALLY stress this.

BUT the deal is good for bizs and it is legit.....they are not sneaky and even tell you on their verification call that you can't cancel and you have to give a firm yes.  As far as not getting ur magz....call and talk to the cust svc mgr and she will be happy to extend your service or find another publication....she will even personally send you a copy of ur missing mag from their ofc so you don't miss any issues.

I have worked there too myself, they are a ligit company, but the people running it however are phony. they only want people who can make them millions of dollars, and if you are there only working for a paycheck, your not gonna be there long. they hire people and 2 days later fire em, or keep em there for, oh 2-3 weeks then your canned, i only personally know 2 of them that have been there for more then 1 year. everyone else is gone. the business is totally ligit however, and they do offer a great deal, they underpromise and overdeliver. thats whats up. but they treat their employees like s***.

The problem with this service is that so many shelter magazines have gone out of business that they have nothing much to send me any more. I'm in year four and have been advised that I can no longer switch publications - something that I was NOT told at the beginning. So, I'm stuck with another year receiving publications I don't want. It's obviously not Comm Readers Svcs fault that the mags have gone out, but it's not mine either. And now, I have to pay to receive magazines I have no interest in? Don't think so.

Magazines ARE special business publications.  If you're an interior designer, up-to-date interior design magazines like Architectural Digest and Elle Decor are business resources.  Magazines are publications.  And the offer is special because it is limited to businesses only, not consumers.

Lots of companies use scripts.  That's not so devious, everything in the script is completely true, isn't it?  If you worked for the company, then you'd know why there's no cancellation policy.  And what are you saying about not receiving publications?  How do you know?  The reason there is customer service is to help people deal with issues like this.  I know the customer service people personally, and I know they would explain it and deal with it.  Nobody wants to have a business with a bad name.  I know people who have worked for the company for ten years who will tell you that it's a good, honest company.  Were you one of those people on the sales floor who just couldn't cut it and got let go after two days?  That would explain why you don't seem to have accurate information.

I work for the company right now, and I particularly hate telemarketing.  Go figure, right?  I was in need of a job when I applied, and was disheartened to know it was business-to-business phone sales; however, once I got started, I realized the company is totally legitimate.  Yes, they use sales techniques by selling a lead magazine first before dumping the other 6-7 magazines on you, and they outrightly admit that telephone sales are based on impulse buying.  But that's your decision.  You're correct, there is no cancellation policy--but if you ask, you are told upfront that there isn't one, and the reason is because the company pre-pays the publishers for the subscription... The business owner is also reminded this in the verification call, AND there is a written contract sent in the mail 3-5 business days later.  Now, in regards to NC law and other contract laws, I'm not an expert, and I cannot speak to how the company deals with these issues; however, working for a small business like H. Fuller Communications, I know the entire staff personally, and no one is there to swindle you nor lie to you.  We're all just working for a paycheck, providing a service that thousands of customers are very happy with.  One more comment: the sales team is specifically required to ask for the person in charge of making business decisions, and if we don't talk to them, we are wasting our breath and both parties' time.  So don't be offended--it's just business.
