I get calls from this co. all the time. I've asked to be placed on there DO NOT CALL LIST every time they call. Last time the person gave me the PSSSST sound and hung up on me!!!

I'm in Virginia.  Has called here 4 times, no message, and if I answer, no one on the line.

This number called, but i actually got a PERSON! *gasp*
I said "hello" and the woman on the other end of the line says "sorry, wrong number" and hung up.

I'm in PA and they called 3 times left no message.  Freakin idiots, because I'm already verizon subscriber AND have verizon high speed internet !!!

This number has called before a few times and then hung up on us with no one there.

Today however, a woman on the line tells us she is with Verizon and they have a special offer we might be interested in. Before she told us what it was she said she was having trouble with her computer and would have to call us back.

My guess is they were checking to see if this was an active phone number so they can resell it to telemarketers or use it for their own sales.

Something is very fishy, take caution.

Have received calls from this number twice today - first time office noise in background but no one talked to me, then hung up.  Second time, No answer from their side when I answered my phone.

Wow, this is strange. I typed the 309 number in google and it brought me to this thread. I've gotten two calls from this phone number today, caller ID just says "Illinois". No one on the line. Very weird that other people are getting the call. I'm in Maryland.

I called the number back and informed them i did not wish to be bothered. I also informed them i had enrolled in the national do not call list. I was told "that does not apply to companies you already do business with, and they could add me to their internal do not call list" which could take up to 30 days.

We had been getting calls from them even after telling them we did not want to switch over to there internet. So i call the # back and asked to be placed on Verizon's Own Do not call list. Do to there PC call system dues not work vary well and will hang up the callers or no one would be on there side to pick up and talk to the ones the system would call.

Same # they where trying to get us to switch we are Vrizon other than Internet
Told them that last week but they keep calling and doing hang ups

Called this morning when we were home, left no message.  Called again in the afternoon trying to sell us Verizon High Speed Internet.  (We are a Verizon land-line phone customer.)

I live in Maryland, and just received a hangup call from that same number.  It is from a landline in Bloomington, IL.  To find out more I would have to pay 14.95 to one of the Internet tracing services.

Same thing happened to me today - two calls, no answer.  Illinois area code

Received a call from the above number today.  Phone rang twice and when anwered, they hung up.

I too am a virginian, and i have recieved calls from this number where none is on the line

Caller ID says Illinois - no message left by caller and no one on line - called 3 times today within a few hours

Calls several times a day, no message left.

I also am a Verizon customer. The caller hung up and did not leave a message on my answering machine. When I returned the call, I got a Verizon sales department voice message indicating the call was an attempt to contact me to review (trying to sell in other words) the latest in what is available in telecommunications options. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry and I plan to contact Verizon custmer support to make them aware of this issue and that I am not pleased with the fact that I get sales (telemarketing) calls from them and in addition, go as far as hanging up without leaving a message.

They call and hang up on my recorder. I'm already on the "DO NOT CALL" list. Didn't have this problem until I recently got verizon internet and verizon cell.

"collection agency" I get these same phone calls too. They are dirty & will use any deceiving method available to harass you. There are ways anymore, to even change what "appears" on your caller ID's. The Cancer Research is another phony BS collection agency (least the one I'm receiving phone calls from) that's been harassing me & "they have it showing" Cancer Research on my caller ID. The "technology is out there today" to do this. If you can get their US mailing address, send them a certified "cease & desist" letter to stop contacting you, "it will stop".

They have called multiple times for the past week or so...When we answer no one is on the other end..let the machine pick it up no message is left....also in Maryland

Called twice today. First time it was silent, second time I heard 2 Hellos. It was an office noise in a background.

They call multiple times per day and never leave a message?????  Who are they really? and what are they really doing???

Received 3 calls from this number today...hung up on my husband when he answered the third time.  Illinois on caller ID.  I live in WV.

I did not answer a call from this number; when it went to answering machine, they hung up leaving no message.
