I don't have a credit card and have never used capital one for anything.  I have been getting calls from the following numbers and dates:  866-381-0453, 12/10/11, 866-929-5307, 12/11/11, 866-929-5306, 12/13/11, 866-929-5307, 12/15/11, 800-955-6600, 12/16/11, 866-381-0453, 12/17/11, 866-929-5307, 12/18/11, After calling them back each time telling them to stop and remove my number.  Most of the time they would say they can't unless I give them more information about myself.  Each time I have told them that they have my phone number and that's all the information they will get.  I have threatened them each time with taking some kind of action against this harassment.  Finally reached someone named Chris who said he remove my number from the call list.  Calls stopped until today; 800-955-6600,12/29/11.  All Capital One calls.  does anyone know how I can back up my threat?  This is getting crazy.  If you receive a call do not provide them with any information not even your name they will sell that info and you will get more calls from other places.  I do not have any debt or credit card or loan with this company never have never will.

Ha ha ha! Robo-Linda... very good. Yeah, I get offers from her all the time! I hate to be going thru this financial crisis, but Linda brightens up my day when I listen to her 6 daily voice mails. Fortunatley I can screen calls as they only have my cell phone number...

Wow, it's LINDA (Robo-Linda) from Capital One calling YET AGAIN with some GREAT OPPORTUNITIES if I'd only return her call. Funny, she called from Michigan, New York, and now California.. but she won't even say who she wishes to speak to. Or to mention that someone might be behind on a payment. All this at 8:22 in the morning.. it's gonna be another great day.

They say they are Capitol One but they are NOT. I've been called by the real Capitol One before and they NEVER ask for my card# because the already know it.
Now these people are calling my Mom and she doesn't even have a Capitol One card.
As a rule, you should NEVER give personal info to anyone that calls you. Better yet, if you don't recognize the number, DON'T ANSWER! Make them leave a message.

Yeah, its cap 1 they are harassing everyone now. I have gotten upto 15 calls a day Sunday through saturday!!! All that from them for missing ONE payment!!! Calls start at 8am est and end at 9pm!!

Got call, Capital One on my cell phone.  I added to my growing list of about 30 phone numbers from Capital One.  A company that goes to this expense of tracking down people are corrupt and don't deserve anyone to pay them.  If everyone stopped paying them then the government would be forced to do something.  Or do nothing and some will continue to pay nothing and don't use credit, pay for everything in cash.

They keep calling even after I have notified them that I am going bankrupt and gave them my lawyer's number.  Their customer service reps are all in India or somewhere like that.  They didn't have a clue what to do when I called to notify them.  I guess I'll have to ask the lawyer to send them a nasty letter.  They are not allowed by law to call after being notified that you are represented by a bankruptcy attorney.

If you owe Capital One and you don't answer their calls, they start calling from numbers all over the place.  I have received calls from Area Codes 508, 304, 310, 260, 301, 734, 909, 973 and 760.  All of them just show the city, state on the caller ID.  I think they are hoping they get lucky and we will answer because we will think it is someone else.  I never understood calling 50 times instead of one letter.  I don't discuss my accounts over the telephone, written mail only.  That way, if you threaten me or otherwise break the law, I have it in writing.

They even call early on Sunday morning.That is a bit out of line in my opinion.

This is Capital One collections - they called me to tell me my Capital One account was past due...of course, I've never HAD a card with Capital One and they were looking for some guy named Joel, so they had some misinformation.  But that's who it is, anyway!

No message, I called back and it said, "Thank you for calling Capital One. Please enter your card number."
