Well, its Dec. 5th 2012 and these "people" are still at it. Called me and said it was Publisher's Sweepstakes. I was half asleep when they called and they asked if this is "my name", I said yes and they said the reason they are calling is to notify me that I am one of the finalists in a sweepstakes. Yada Yada Yada.. They knew my address and name like most people have said about this type of call. I told them they woke me up and they immediately hung up. Hopefully this is the end of it. I have ordered things online in the past and I guess about a million people have my name and address along with these f'ers. I'll just add them to the list and hopefully this is the end if it. Anyone know if anyone has lost anything monetarily or go screwed in another way by these people? I hope it just ends with this annoying call and thats it. X X ::Crosses Fingers::

I have recieved two calls from this number and they are claiming to work for Publisher's Clearing House - which I belong to so didn't get suspicious right away. They asked me several personal questions and then asked me to pay $3.95 a week for 48 months. I told "Denise" that I didn't want the subscription but that I would gladly take the other things that I had won. She told me that her "supervisor" would be calling back. I went to lunch and came back to 2 missed calls from this number and 2 more missed calls from an "Unknown Number". When I tried to call back the line rang an rang and when someone picked up I could hear voices in the background "selling" and the individual that picked up tried several times to hang up on me. Well, evidently they're "giving way" magazines, a diamond watch and enetering me into another drawing!  She knew my address and actaully had the audacity to call my work telephone!

It seem like  when ever we buy those as seen on tv  time as in exercise programs abs machine cooking ect... they give out our information to third partys who want to scam us. I guss we shouldn't buy anything from tv or on online from the depict site.

Same story as Mel and not saying. I got the call today and the date is March 31, 2009. The had all the information and everything, except the expiration date of my card is and the cv number on the back. I just got through a call with my bank and they said that no bank enters you for sweep stakes. Heads up everyone they might have your adress and stuff but what they're really trying to get is your card number, expiration date and cv number!!!!

I got the call a bunch of times and stupidly i agreed to the address because distracted, but then i told then i was moving in two weeks. It was really creepy. I hate it. in this day and age when information is so easy obtain. I turned down the offer for magazines and they asked me if i had a credit card, i said yeah, but it was cut off months ago.

received a call about 6:57pm wed july 29th from this number, didn't know the caller so let it go to voice mail. none left and when i went to call it back no answer. reading the post below seems like a common problem. i do recall a few days back a lady called me and was trying to get me to buy a magazine subscription and that I could be in a drawing for milions of dollars and how would i spend the money and if i would like it in a lump sum or in payments. well, fortunately i told them i didn't need magazines, she then proceeded to ask me what magazines i currently get sent to the house now. i told her the ones i get i wasn't getting anymore. she then wanted to know whick magazines i would be interested in out of 5 that she named off. i told her NONE of them cause i don't have time to read them. PLEASE DON'T TELL THESE PEOPLE ANYTHING THAT'S WHEN THEY GET THE INFORMATION OF WHAT YOU LIKE AND THEY WILL KEEP PRESSING. after she got upset that i wouldn't buy anything she tried to transfer me to someone else. that's when i hung up. i don't have time for this kind of stuff and if you all get these kind of phone calls that would be the best thing to do. JUST HANG UP! these people can and will say anything to you over the phone so don't give them the power!

Received this call @12:05 p.m.  The caller I.D. showed PS.  The lady speaking said that she was from Publisher Subscriptions.  My name had been selected to win one of these prices:  25,000.00; a boat; SUV; Living Room make-over.  She needed to verify my address and the drawing would be December 31,2009 New Years Eve.  Also that I had 3)subscriptions that I had won: Rachel Ray, Cosmopolitan and a third.  I told her I didn't want any of the magazines...she said fine and deleted these choices. She said that she was from Texas and her sister was from Davenport, Iowa.  She talked about the cold and how could we stand it.  She hoped that I would be getting a call saying I had won my prize selection.

A lady called my cell phone and said that my bank or credit card company had entered me in some kind of sweepstakes.  She said I was a finalist and rattled off a bunch of potential prizes I could win.  The creepy part is she knew my address and said that something would be mailed to me.  I told her she was calling at a bad time and she said she would call me again later.  Not sure if she will actually call again, but at least this time I will know not to answer!

Just got the exact same call today - turned down the weekly magazines and she kept pressuring me to pick a "grand prize" (trip, cash, car, etc.). Promised the same watch in the mail. I only have one credit card and it is through my local credit union - my bank assured me that there was no "National Dreams" sweepstakes that they entered me into with out my knowing. This is a scam for sure.

Telemarketer
I got a call from 310-241-0012 saying my bank or credit card had entered me in a giveaway for Dec. 31 and they were sending me a diamond watch in the mail for being a finalist. When I agreed to the terms of paying for OK magazine she agreed and quickly hung up. Then I had a call from a restricted number and she tried to get my husband's information and my credit card number. She told me I needed to stay on the line to get a tracking number for the "watch" I was going to receive but it was a series of questions saying how much I am going to pay monthly and she tried to get me to agree to pay 39.90 for the next 24 months!!!! That is almost $1000!! Is she crazy. When I told her she was crazy that I was not agreeing to those terms she got really hostile. I told her to cancel but I am afraid I will have some problems later down the road.

i definatly think these people are trying to scam you into the bi weeklys, possibly even magazines. dont agree to anything at all, not even the free prizes. hang up. do not give out any information. never ever listen to a telemarketer, hang up, they all want to scam you, so they can keep there job by making enough sales or make commission, ect. i am not sure how these people plan to force you to pay for this stuff unless they try to bill you in the mail or charge your credit card, if they have your credit card info. i bought something online with a throw away credit card, so i am not worried if they got that information and try to charge it, they will find out there is no money on the card. i am worried if they try to tamper with the conversation if they recorded it, or if they try to bill my house. they promised me i wouldnt pay for anything, i wish i didnt even answer the phone now, because i dont know what they are going to try to make me buy. they will not get a penny out of me. i just hope i never hear from them again, but i will post on here if they do send me something in the mail, so everyone knows what kind of heartache to expect.
