CALLED AT DINNER TIME NO MESSAGE JUST ASKED FOR MY HUSBAND.  DIDN'T OFFER TO LEAVE MESSAGE WHEN I TOLD HER HE WASN'T HERE.  I DON'T LIKE ANYONE TO CALL AND NOT TELL ME WHY.  IT HAD TO BE A TELEMARKETER BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ANYONE CALLING US BECAUSE OF THE DO NOT CALL  POLICY. I DO NOT WANT ANYONE CALLING ME IF IT'S NOT IMPORTANT. I DON'T ENTER CONTESTS AND I DON'T OWE ANY MONEY TO ANYONE.

Got this call today. I humored her and told her the prizes I liked most. She wanted me to subscribe to some weekly thing but I told her I wanted to pass on that and she didn't push. We'll see what comes of it. Something tells me not much.

Got a call from this number woman wanted to get information on credit cards hung us when my wife handed me the phone.

that number has called and using a different phone, they never pick the phone up instead it will rise g n ring! they too said we are one of the finalist in a dream come true sweepstakes. I asked them if this is a scam or a fraud and quickly said "No" so annoying to waste our time!!!!

I received a call from this number and they said I won a prize.  When I asked where did I enter this contest, she did not say.  I hung up on her.  I just received another call from them, but did not answer.

Keeps calling asking for me when I answer they hang up. Anyone know who this is

Keep getting calls from 310-241-2965. Anyone know who it's from?? They never leave a message.

i had the same call from this number and the told me the same story but i said that i have to think about it, later on that day i went to my bank account online and they charge my card what can i do to get my money back.

I received a call on my cell phone. They also told me about my bank or credit card entering me in a sweepstakes. The listed all the prizes, $25000, a vehicle, a trip etc. Then she said I would be getting 6 free magazines and then she named all the magazines. She wanted to confirm my mailing address. Then she needed some information about their "finalists". Yeah whatever. so I said I wasn't interested and she hung up. Sounds very suspicious to me.

I keep getting phone calls from this number on my cell phone. I finally tried to call it back. First it was busy for awhile, then when it finally rang no one answered and it just kept on ringing, no answering machine. I looked the number up on reverse phone look up and it is from San Padro CA, and it is unpublished/unavailable. I also do not know anyone from CA.

I just received this call from this number on my cell phone explaining how I too won a prizes from being a preferred customer from one of my credit card. I asked her what company she was from she said Publishers Headquarters. I said with all the scams going on I am not telling you anything. She said that they were in outstanding record with the BBB. Funny I can't find their name when I Google it. I told her to mail me the information and she hung up on me. I too called the number back several times and it was busy. I say complete SCAM especially with privacy law, my bank which is where I have my credit card through would not give out my information. Let you know if I get anything in the mail.

It's a SCAM. They told me my bank or credit card comany entered me to win money. a car, or a trip. They told me to choose one and they would enter me. Then they said I would get 6 mags for the purchase of 1 subscription and they wanted my credit card info. I told them no and they hung up. I'm pretty sure it's a scam

i got a call from this number yesterday and when i answer it, he/she doesnt talk and hung up. So i tried to call back but i got a busy signal so i kept on calling back and finally somebody pick up but doesnt talk. To my curiousity, i dialed again but still, if its not busy, it rings but nobody answers. Im pretty sure this is a scam.

I go the same call as described above. Very convincing person on the other end - I kept waiting for the information request. She had my name, address, and business cell phone number. The fact that she had all of this makes it sound very convincing. I work with security folks, so I was suspicious for the whole call, but she never asked for anything she really didn't have already.

It was when her "supervisor" called that the hook came - she wanted me to pay for one of the magazines with a credit or debit card. When I asked to be billed in the mail, she tried to convince me that she was legit and that I'd be protected by the credit card company, yeah, right and I have a couple of bridges across the Misissippi River I'll sell , cheap.

If I get the bill, and the watch , and the free magazines, I'll believe this.

This is the 3rd phone call from this company looking for my husband.  The woman says she has a contest award for him.  When she called this time, I asked her if she was a magazine salesman; her terse remark was, "No - I a sales WOMAN."  Well, guess what, IF there was some sort of prize for speaking with her, she can stick it.  I finally told her my husband does not enter contests and he's not interested.  Now if she calls again, I'll file a complaint with the 'do not call' list office of our friendly and always helpful gub-ment.

Ok so I kept on calling and calling this number (about 20 x's) finally someone answered and I'm pretty sure it was the female that called me. The company name is called United Reader's Service. They are with the BBB. Their website is http://unitedreaders.com/

I asked her why when I said to mail me information she hung up on me and she says how do I know that you did not hang up on me I'm usually hung up on as soon as I say hi. I said well why when I looked up your company name it did not exist. Thats when she gave me the name United Readers Company (maybe thats what she should have said in the first place).

I asked if her company was a scam where they rip off poor innocent people and she was quit offended but I explained that now days you can not trust anyone and with all the scams out their she has to expect that people are going to be mistrusting and suspicious.

Sorry I take this stuff very personally, my g-ma was ripped off by a company that was running a scam, therefore I am very mistrusting.  

Honestly, people out there have to do their research.
