This number keeps calling my cell phone and not leaving messages....I have blocked them

I called the number back and it's a recording about furthering your education. Listen to the message all the way through and option 6 is to put your name and number on their DO NOT CALL LIST.

Just got a call from this number today.  Left no message.  On the caller id, it says the name of Lawrence Ebony.

I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THIS NUMBER 4 TIMES IN 2DAYS! I ANSWERED AND THEY ASKED FOR ME, BUT I TOLD THEM THEY WRONG NUMBER...WEIRD!

Called...got spammed...called them and asked them to remove me from any future contacts as I have my number on the "do not call" list. We'll see.  Now, if we can only get rid of this number for some garbage about the Police Officer's fund...hmmmmm.

This number is from the sleazy collection agency, Valentine and Kebartas.  They use a clever strategy and tactics where they will attempt to contact you using SEVERAL numbers including:

Here's a good strategy to counter these slime bags:

1.  Using Skype or another service where you name will not show up on caller ID, call the number in question to verify Valentine & Kebartas (or any other bill collector)
2. Download a call blocking app for your phone.  I use an Android phone and the app, Advanced Call Blocker, works really well.  
3.  Add the slime bag number to your blocker.

Bada bing.

Someone needs to write an app whereby telemarketers, debt collectors, etc. get bombarded by a service and it crashes their system.

I just received another call from this number.  It keeps calling and leaves NO message on my answering machine!!!  Please STOP calling my number!!!

This number has been calling me every day this week.  I've answered a couple of times but no one is ever there.  I have never filled out any sort of survey so I don't know how they got my cell phone number (which I have had for the last 10 years).  Seems very odd to me.  I read the post about calling the number back and pressing 6 so I guess I will try that to see if it stops the calls.

a number of random unknown calls to my cellphone today. none leave messages, including this number. I'm on do not call list..I WILL file complaint if receive another call from this number.

This number called me and I answers and no one there and I just mist it again and then I called it back and they said that he never called my phone and said I was cursing me out

Same here! I feel so stupid. I am usually very careful about info I share and I am not surprised that I now,have someone calling from Inglewood,Ca. the very next day! What I usually do with sites like these and others for instance,like sites that claim to be "free" - I report them. Every time I have problems like these I click the "control the current page" button then, select "report a bug " option, next I push the arrow on the "page won't load" bar and pick the "other problem" option. Finally, I type my brief and to-the-point problem in the box below then, hit send.

       I don't expect this will instantly solve these types of problems. However, if there are enough (legitimate) complaints about the same site- it might be easier to weed them out. At least be a pain in the a** as they have been to me.

I filled out a survey from walmart about winning a 1000.00 gift card it also ask about futher education, i didnot submit after seeing some of the other questions. I then started getting calls from this number,no message was left.

I just got one and looked it up. Yep it is just a telemarkter. I even am on the do not call list and I should know by now that it does not matter.

Same deal except it was a free $1000.00 Giftcard, I started to fill out the survey but never completed it cause I realized it was a scam. Now today this number pops up on my phone and I google it and here we are! Is there a number that you can call to report these scams and their telemarkers?

The above phone number and 877-224-9828 are probably being made from the same company. Both phone calls came after I filled out an online survey regarding DELL computers.

Got called several times yesterday. No message left.  Answered the call today. Man said calling about further education in response to a web survey entry.  I'd no idea what he was talking about and cut it off as a cold call sales effort.  Caller ID showed "Lawrence Ebony"

Anyone else start getting calls from the number after filling out the 'survey' to get the gift card from Target??!  Frustrating...and makes me feel a little not-too-smart...
