I got a call from this too, about an hour and a half after cindy.
It appears to be an intl calling card access number.  Someone using
such a card (or spoofing the number) is calling us...no way to
return the call...

Oh, forgot to say:
The calling card is "PINGO" (Pingo.com) and the
local access number the caller used is in Beverly Hills, CA.

Received a call from our calling service with no voice message attached.  We're a family owned villa rental in the Bahamas.  Someone's up to no good.

Ok, I got this on my cellphone, and I returned the call. It says press one for english and so on. Then asks me to put in my number and 4 digit pin. Whats up with that?

Ibasis call came again. No one there, when you try to call them, there is a spanish speaking person that continues to repeat a ?? list?  WE contacted Ibasis, an actual company  and they have nothing to do with these calls. We are sending this info to the attorney general's office to investigate and I am sure the actual company will do their own investigation of these calls. Keep a list of the times and dates. Forward it to your attorney general's office to investigate.

Called at 11:35 cst on 3/21/09.  Left 5 minute voice message that had no voice on it.

Jack@$$ calls and says nothing so I hung up on him.  Called him back and only got silence

If you want to stop these type of calls, call your attorney general's office in your state and report this to them.
If you have a state councilman or state office such as a senator, they too can put pressure on the phone companies to block these calls.
The more you complain to congress. the more they will take action.
Go on line for your state, get the info for the attorney general's office and talk to reps regarding these calls. Also keep a date and time they come in. The local police will also respond to this.

Received a call at 1:08 a.m. on March 21-Caller hung up as soon as I answered.

Call fr (310) 279-4625 at 11:15pm Sat. nite. Caller hung up as soon as my vm kicked in.

Got a call from this number to my voicemail at 8:30 pm.  No message.

Caller ID said IBASIS.  7:53PM call to business line.  Aren't there laws against this?  I find little difference between automated "no one on the other end" and prank calls.  Seems to me there are laws against this sort of conduct.  My question is:  What is their purpose?  It certainly can't be to gain positive PR.

I wonder if we have anything in common, or if it is just random?

I had a call at 2:45 am this morning, what is this all about? I mean in your sleep one thinks of aa emergency maybe, and till I got to the phone it was gone, didn't leave a message...someone is gonna be sorry soon!

Yea, I called this number back after they called me FIVE FREEKING TIMES that started at midnight this morning.

When I called it back, says something about Lingo or bingo, then ask you for your credit card number.

My phone rang at 3:53 a.m. eastern.  And you all know what that does to your heart.  I would literally beat the $#@^ out of these people.

I am a hearing impaired person received a call thru Video Relay Service interpreter told me that it is an automated voice recorder-no answers! So stupid!!!
